It's a good dream, but it's got to suprass the XRP firstly. Anyway, all the possibilities in the market have always been available, so why not in the future. As you said, the new locomotive of the market can be ETH.

I don't think its gonna happen since a lot of competitors of ETH are on the move and much better technology.

ETH is besides BTC the second most known/used cryptocurrency, so I assume it's gonna see a healthy growth in 2019 again, but surpassing BTC is out of the scope anytime soon.
ETH over Bitcoin i think it is a distant dream for those who love ETH. You need to wake up and look at the reality of our market. Can not have the feats that go against the trend of the Bitcoin world.
my opinion this is not possible ethereum will not overtake the bitcoin but bitcoin cash will overtake the bitcoin because now days bitcoin cash price is going high.
