the thing that makes me fond of investing in ethereum is probably the fact that its being used massively for staking in various project and these staking locked for quite long time period adding demand to the ethereum itself.
if it frequently being utilized like that im sure in the future other project will also follow, right now blast already reaching more than 1 billion TVL in form of ethereum alone if im not mistaken followed by manta, and so on.
its clear that these project just always try to utilize ethereum moreover the fact that ethereum l2s nowadays are just increasing in the amount so many reputable devs deploying their own L2 goes to show that ethereum will never fades.
honestly my money always go to either bitcoin or ethereum, its always these two that are really good for investment.

Ethereum is a good choice to keep on holding and accumulating when possible. I don't think a lot of investors would be making good profit unless they have be holding it from 2011 or they have invested in it before 2021. If not then there are other coins like Ethereum that are showing positive sign in the market. Like you said BNB which is backed by the biggest exchange in the world. Recently Solana started doing good and it is still a cheap if compared to Ethereum and BNB in price and the team is doing great with its development and marketing. I would be focusing on these three crypto before the bull run as they have the potential to explode.
Now you can compare the cost of a fairy between ETH and BNB, the latter is more profitable. In this case, I prefer BNB/OpBNB and zkSync - small fees and the speed of the network itself. But of course, this year ETH will remain the leader among roll-ups/L2 networks based on it. And after the adoption of the new EIP/ERC, fees should decrease in the main ETH network.

The reason why Ethereum has the second largest marketcap is not because of its ETH token value. It is because of its ecosystem which is bigger than Ethereum itself. The more it's ecosystem will grow the price of it's token will also increase. It is still one of the best altcoin available in the market, but slowly others are gearing up to challenge it.
This may be a reason to move away from Ethereum in the future, as the ecosystem has become independent because we see second-layer solutions, which may be tokens that do not even need the tokens of the first network, or need them at a minimum, which is opening and closing channels.
The uses of the Ethereum onchain are limited, and unless the fees issue is solved, the majority will prefer to invest in Bitcoin and the Ethereum ecosystem.

If I'm still focusing on my old approach when it comes to investing which is a conservative approach, I would choose Ethereum as well, and I will put a huge portion of my money in Ethereum aside from Bitcoin. Now that we are approaching the bull run (hopefully), I made a bit of a risk, and I invested in altcoins that's below the top 20 such as ATOM, TIA, SUI, etc. I believe that the lower the market cap is, the higher the risk therefore the higher the reward. Investing into Ethereum might be safer, but the upside is lower compare to other altcoins below.
Do you think I make a good choice this year or I should include BNB so that if one is delaying me in the market, I can try the other one to achieve what I want .
Including BNB in your portfolio might be a good one because after all, it's the native token of the largest CEX right now which is Binance. Holding it will qualify you for their launch pools and with the bull run fast approaching, I expect that many new projects will emerge, and some of them will launch on Binance's launch pool. That would be free money for you as a holder of BNB. 
No doubt etherium still serves as a leading coin in the altcoin family. But Bitcoin is still the best. When ever you talk of Bitcoin, you talk about cryptocurrency and that is the reason behind this great forum. Aside Bitcoin etherium is the successor of Bitcoin. So having etherium now is like investing in bitcoin some years back when Bitcoin was around $1k or $2k dollars but today it's now $43k so in the nearest future etherium will be also expensive like Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin was once low like etherium. So etherium is a good altcoin to hold for long.

I think investing in Ethereum and holding it for a long period of time can yield better profits in the future. I have noticed that Ethereum starts to pump when the price of Bitcoin increases. Ethereum's ETF is expected to be approved soon, we also a big event Bitcoin halving will be faced. Hopefully i will be except to see a big bullrun right after these events. I think there is still a lot of time, if start investing now, I don't think it would be too bad decision wait until the next bullrun season.
