The price of ETH has been on a downward trend in recent months, but this has happened with other alternative COINS. All we can do is wait for the price to recover.
Eth is worrying me more and more because of its price in the great pause. I am sure it's time to go up and it's standing in the dip without any changes.
Because Bitcoin is also down in price, all ALtcoins are leading Bitcoin.
If Bitcoin falls by 5%, the Altcoins fall deeper by 10%.
Hopefully we can be patient for all this.
Because those altcoin hodlers are converting their coin to the bitcoin to prevent the possibility for bitcoin to get another big dump again. Basically that can create a lot of fear to the market. If Bitcoin falls by 5%, the Altcoins fall deeper by 10%.

Ethereum looks very stable compared with bitcoin and it's growing on the bitcoin terms. Bitcoin is very stable right now consider from its chart. Patience is the key.
The ethereum fell to the June values of 2017. This is not a good sign. There is a feeling that the downward trend in prices will continue in the following months

in my opinion this ethereum price cannot provide very fast benefits and don't let you have a lot of ethereum because the benefits provided will be very long. ethereum is a long-term coin.
I really taught this year was for Ethereum but what happen? 
I'm so disappointed holding it. Why did Ethereum go with btc flow? Everytime btc falls it falls also. I’m rooting for it since its is an open-source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform and operating system featuring smart contract. If the erc20 token using it has high price then why is ethereum price not directly proportional?

yes, i think the markets stay down this year.
but, do not regret too early, i believe ETH price will be increasing in the next year.
ETH is good coin to hold in long term.
take this time to invest more coin which have a good future.

I think ethereum year is not this year, because it's keep falling especially when the Bitcoin price also drop,
probably before the year ended we can see a turn around for ETH blockchain. Let hope for the best.

many experts and I think that the etherium can have a great price, but the market itself determines the price and this is the main thing
The ETH rate in 2018 is not expected to see a sharp increase in the exchange rate as in 2017. The ETH rate has so far remained above the $ 400 mark. I think that if the ETH exchange rate increases, it will have to wait until Q4 2018, at which time the new ETH rate could surpass $ 1,000.
bitcoin affects the entire market, including the Ethereum. therefore, the price of Ethereum depends on bitcoin. although I, too, hoped that Ethereum proves an independent coin.

actually, there are lots of altcoins that follow the price of bitcoins, like ethereum. when the btc price drops, ethereum prices also down. but I think Eth has good prospects in the future. and I think it's good for short-term investments.

Everyone is hoping for that man and I understand how you feel. Right now I've changed my investment portfolio and transferred my BTC to ETH.
I think that the price of Ehereum in relation to Bitcoin will fall. Ethereum is in a downward trend to Bitcoin. I think the turn will be later. It's too early to make this happen. Now, investors prefer Bitcoin.
But they could present an ICO hype scenario decreasing because many ICO developers sold Ethers collected during their token sales this year, which resulted in the demand from the ICO being significantly reduced, and now the ICO is not selling as fast as before. So I think the price of ETH might go down more in the near future.
