Curiously, when mining on ethermine, is there a warm up period before you start making what you should for your submitted shares? Like you have to be on the pool for two hours before you earn your optimal income rate.

1.0.8, + 4x 970 CPU loaded on 80%, and a miner does not work, very slowly.

1-2-3x    970   works fine.

cpu amd 2 cores, nvidia driver last.

 Huh

what is missing?

how much RAM you got there and which OS? btw i'm probably not the most experienced here with just 1 970. there are others here who've got big nvidia rigs

Loving the updates 1.0.8 seems to of increased my speeds not sure why but it has done. Used same settings as before was hitting maybe 20MH per 280x card now gained extra 2MH per card and also use to use dual miner and seems its preforming better than dual now so back using etherminer until something else improves or gets better. If ethminer cracks dual mining then it would be good to have it open to other crypto too same alog as the other coin that dual miner uses but more coins etc Smiley

Anyone running 380x cards? If so what drivers and settings are working best? I would love to get this miner up and rolling. Thanks in advance.

new drivers plus 1.0.8, only two 970, i'm selling my gpu because of the new one, i can still sell them at 285 euro apparently, so better do it now before they are worth two penny

the average hash is increased a bit, previously was 43.5 now with everything on the last update i've reached almost 44.5

Genoil, any hope to implement on-card DAG creation?
Thats the single huge + for Claymore's miner

And 1 more "feature" request - what about taking failover pools/settings from config file?

There's always hope  Grin

- on-gpu dag generation
- dual mining
- config file
- mixed platform mining (opencl + cuda, nvidia + amd)
- per gpu hashrate display
- rest API
- overclocking and temperature control
- windows console colors

Speed on expanse is 7MH, but DAG size hurts Nv cards badly

7mh what gpu?

the new drivers are worth updating? tallking about 365

Does this miner support 750Ti?  If yes, what's the correct config to run it?
Sorry if this question was asked earlier Wink

Only on linux, and the speed is slow. Around 4mhash. You bether mine something else.
when my server was up i got 10Mhash on my 660ti why is 750ti worse?

Thanks for the supported updates here. About to download me a kickass 1.0.8 and trial it out compare with Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner see if much improvments.

Maybe visual idea too for future now you put n accepted rejected stale etc maybe to have a screen that updates like with shares and has 1 hash speed per gpu total speed than loads of scrolling and zoming down n stuff. or option to hide all status and just have like accepted rejected total share rate for miner etc Smiley Bit like the layout of BFG and cgminer has Smiley
One more question is their options for intensity on this to set intensity on how hard card works etc ?

1.0.8 is out.

- work timeout (fails over when working on the same block too long)
- send stale shares (potential poolside sharerate increase up to 1%)
- shorter log output (mostly fits 1 line on fixed-width win console)
- counting shares [A0+0:R0+0:F0] (A= accepted+accepted stales, R=rejected+rejected stales, F= fails)
- longer default hashrate update interval when using stratum
- cleaned up loads of Linux build warnings. not all I'm afraid.
- fixed --opencl-device bug
- i may have accidentally fixed the DAG switch crashes. let me know if it still crashes on next epoch change.

what's up for 1.0.9?

- investigate GPU load drops.
- Pascal support

Of course i want dual-mining and on-GPU DAG building too, but I don't have much time...

Switched to 1.0.8 today, love the cleaner hash reporting and share counting. Thanks for this.

Look forward to the future wish list items of dual-mining and on-GPU DAG Cheesy

OUTPUT IN CONSOLE IS ACTUALLY READABLE!!! --

Cleaning up the console output is enough of an improvement to justify a release in itself!  THANKS!  Are there any new command-line switches?      --scryptr

P.S. --  Sent a small donation your way, it is overdue.       --scryptr

Thanks a lot! There's a new cmdline switch --work-timeout. Defaults to 90. If stratum works on block longer than this value in seconds, it will failover. Works great on Windows, just got a bug report in on Ubuntu. If you get it, just set the value so high that it won't ever time-out.

so its a month early, but do you think ethminer will be able to support the new GTX 1080 and 1070? They are CRAZY powerful and efficient. I'm excited

Don't expect miracles from the 10x0 wrt ETH mining. The memory bandwidth is about on par with the 980Ti, so unless they have made fundamental changes to the memory controller, resulting in better random access bandwidth, it will be just about as fast. But because of its compute power, a dual-algo miner with ETH (like Claymore's for AMD) seems the best use of its resources.
well i currently have a GTX 980, so I guess it would be an update for me. I primarily game though, and mine overnight, so its a win win. I hope maybe these new cards with the new drivers make Windows 10 mining issues a thing of the past? or do you foresee me still having to boot into windows 7 or linux

That's what I'm also most curious of. All i know is that Nvidia engineers are aware of the issue. See this comment: https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/878455/cuda-programming-and-performance/gtx750ti-and-buffers-gt-1gb-on-win7/post/4842553/#4842553

I'm afraid that if they have to solve this on a hardware level, Pascal came too early. But it could also be that Pascal's TLB is already larger by design because of the larger RAM support. We'll see. If the problems persist, the driver hack currently used on Win10 will become almost impossible, as Pascal wasn't around when WDDM 1.x drivers were.

Unfortunately I'm running Windows Sad

you can easily install linux on a dual boot and try with your gpu, it will take few minutes, or virtual machine but gpu won't wrk there unless you do passthough i think
