I choose Ethereum because for me ETH is just like bitcoin. The value of it is depends upon the demand of the market and its supply.

According to my opinion Ethereum is the best as compare to Ripple because Ethereum has less supply than ripple and the altcoin having less supply is more stable. Ethereum is stable in 2nd rank of coinmarketcap.com and its potential is to cross $10000 at the last of this year.

It looks like the etherum for short and ripple for the long term but in my opinion the best is etherum because the price there is rising rapidly and always stable. I highly recommend ripple if you want to use long term because people do not always check the market price.
