^ Marcelo did awesome and scored a goal too.  And the Real midfield is so fun to watch, closing down on PSG when they don't have the ball.  It's like they're saying 'this ain't La Liga f*ckaaaz!'

I would absolutely looove to see them win the CL three times in a row.

Liverpool has destroyed 5-0 Porto that at  home this year had lost only 1 time!
Real Madrid ( 3-1  against PSG) proved everyone was still one of the favorites to win the Champions League.

We can say that there are already 3 teams in the quarterfinals: Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Yup!  Glad to see those three move on to the quarters (for different reasons).

I guess we could also assume that Chelsea is going down.  Lol.  Grin

No way they're beating Barca.

In my last post here, I had predicted that Real Madrid would have the advantage of being champions and they would stun PSG, even if PSG has the best strike force, its experience that matters, Ronaldo once again showed why he's the star of Madrid, and I feel PSG loosing the next match shall open up the doors for Neymar return to Madrid as a replacement for Ronaldo.

Manchester City is on a another level and I would love to see them against Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Liverpool are playing like they used to before, they won't win but will proceed nevertheless.

I was pretty sure that real Madrid will win last night , we saw an amazing game , both teams played very well and in the end the more experienced players manage to close the game , the man of the match is Marcelo for sure and we have to give merit for zidane who made substitutions and took a risky move to try to win this game and he succeed . For Paris I think they played well also but they just got unlucky , they still on the game even if it will be difficult to beat real Madrid 2-0 but it is not impossible . At the end we can say that money can't buy happiness always .

A dramatic win from Real Madrid against PSG.From 0-1 to 3-1, R madrid don't know what is give up.On second half, it was looked like PSG is better than Madrid but after bale and Lucas came in, the match turned around.I think that substitution was the key for R madrid. But still PSG can come back on second leg.And madrid needs just a away goal to make it harder for PSG.No doubt Neymar played really well but he couldn't scored unfortunately.Overall, It was a nightmare for PSG.

my pick for champion league matches today

FC Porto vs Liverpool, both teams to score
and actually very difficult to decide which teams will be the winner of this match although Porto slightly better in local league
but play on champion league sometimes different and i think both teams to score is safe bets

Yeah. I thought Porto would of scored a goal atleast but Liverpool was just too greedy this day.
They didn't let them get in on their side with a score like this as a final result.
I still got to go check if I can find the game so to watch what happened to let their defense crumble so badly to let Liverpool have their way with them like this. Embarrassed

Why you are so sure about Real Madrid? Do you think that PSG aren't able to win 2:0 at home? Yes, Real are very close to quarterfinals, but I think everything still can happen in this pair. PSG away goal in today's game may play important role in second leg game.

I watched Real vs. PSG and must say that it was really well spent 2 hours. Real proved that in spite some bad results in Primera they are still one of the best teams in Europe when stakes are high enough. PSG has a lot of great individuals but they are not a team.

What happened in other match? Did Liverpool played that well or Porto didn't show this evening?
I did watch Real Madrid against psg too , so don't know exactly how Liverpool match going. Bad start actually for Real Madrid to conceded first but yeah as usual they get some help from the referee to make a comeback, for me the game should ended with a draw as result, that's fair for both to fight again in the second leg. Unlucky psg , the old way to win for Real Madrid  Grin .

Well, it does seem like my luck's sitting pretty at the Last 16 so far, 3 bets and 3 wins, although I almost bet a draw for PSG/RM, good thing I didn't. Liverpool handicap would have taken more winnings but I'm very happy with a ML @2.24. Seems like Liverpool's average of 4 goals per away game at CL is going to stay for a while more, can't see them conceding 5 goals at Anfield, so they might even have a chance to give some of the other boys a European night next leg.

My thoughts, can't have a better result: for once, a decent return of goals, 6 shots on target, 5 goals; a clean sheet; no injuries; no yellow cards. Sadio Mane returns to scoring form with a bleeding hattrick, and of course all frontmen got on the scoresheet. Finally outscored PSG in Europe. What else can I think of? Marvelous game, a joy to watch.

What happened? Liverpool did get a bit lucky for the first goal, but credit to Lovren for the intercept that started it all. Porto tried to attack, and rested Casillas... bad choice they'll be regretting all year.

Liverpool really seemed like they didn't want to put another goal.
How many times they sent the ball to the goalkeeper? Almost every play.

first half liverpool leads with 2 goals and has not conceded, so you just wait for FC Porto to score at least 1 goal in the second half later. But I'm not sure FC Porto will score in this match. I'm even more convinced that the match in the second half will not add a goal.

The ideal result between Real Madrid vs PSG is with a draw. Both teams have the same quality of players so it is very difficult for PSG to steal full points at Santiago Bernabeu and Real Madrid will not be easy to get a victory as they are still looking for their best game performance. Making this a very exciting match to watch and watch as the matches of the two teams splashed on the star are referred to as the final game.

Real Madrid lost all chances to win Spanish Championship and Champions League is their main goal now. They struggle with their form during whole season and this is their game of the season. Same on the other side. PSG has to prove that they are championship team and that they have quality to win every competition with this team. Knowing the style of both teams, tonight is all about the goals... over 2.5, over 3.5, both team to score...all good bets. Who will be winner of this duel and who will qualified to next round is very hard to predict but great football show is guaranteed.

Can't wait for Real-PSG to start. I will be playing both teams to score & over 2.5. There is not much to say about this tip. Everybody knows what kind of attack PSG has and the will score for sure today. For Real to have any chances of progression to next stage they have to score at least 2 goals today.

Although I haven't been watching Champions league except for the Finals during the last few years (what those clubs and UEFA are doing with money laundering is simply disgusting), I will watch this one.

If Real has ever been more vulnerable during the course of last two years, it is this moment, and as you mentioned it, we all know what kind of attacking horse-power PSG has. Just a few months ago I would have said - Real, without a sweat - they had a great well-tuned team and they seemed invincible. However, at this moment I will have to give a slight advantage to PSG. They have been waiting to win a big decisive match for a couple of years and they were basically preparing for this during the whole season as their domestic competition is rather weak (compared to their team). They could burn out though.

Definitely PSG-RM Over 2.5 is a great bet but odds are too low for me. Even over 3 it's at a mere @1.6 so I'm staying away from this match.

Glad i'm not the only one. For me, it's not because the odds are low, but I feel like anything can happen in this match, I don't feel confident enough to say 'ok X team is gonna win so i'm going for it', so yeah, I'd rather stay away from placing bets on this match.

However, Porto vs Liverpool, i'm looking at Liverpool to win @2.20, and Both Teams to Score @1.74. Perhaps a win for Porto is possible given how they've been playing in the Primeira League, but I'll take my chances with Klopp and company.

Porto's experience in Champions league is unquestionable and nowadays, their domestic league performance is also very convincing. Porto has a chance to win this game, but to be safe, Porto draw no bet @2.31 isn't bad choice to be picked along with both teams to score.

Yup, it's worth a gamble, but I wouldn't be too optimistic.  I think a draw is more likely here, and a bit leaning to a Liverpool victory.  I'm biased towards all English clubs in the CL btw...  Lol.  Grin

Manchester City with 4-0 is already in the quarterfinals and is certainly among the favorites for the victory of the champion's league!
Precious draw for 2-2 of Tottenham away against Juventus!
Now Tottenham is favored for qualifying for the quarterfinals.

There are great chances that an English team will win the cup this year.
Manchester City definitely is a team to consider as favourites for the champion's league but games are won on the field not on paper and lets not forget teams with so much experience in this type of competition are still in the hunt and depending on todays results we certainly will have an idea of who might reach the finals.
