About Chelsea, they actually played really good, though I think Conte should've played with Morata or Giroud instead of Pedro.

And Bayern Munich, no surprises here against a low-tier club Besiktas, second leg is going to be absolutely boring.

I think the match will be won by Barcelona. Disadvantages of the statistics that are owned by Barcelona against Chelsea is Lionel Messi who never break the Chelsea goalkeeper. I want to see Messi score his first goal against Chelsea, Chelsea have a wonderful memory when they win the Champions league, where they beat Barcelona at Camp Nou in the semi-finals, but I do not see them going to repeat it again.

It will be a game that will run with full of drama. Because remembered a few years ago when the two teams met in the final league champions which then won by Chelsea by dint of goals Torres in the final round of the game. In addition, this match will be the first meeting of both coach Antonio Conte and Ernesto Valverde, who had never met before. I mean, you're probably right (hell, I can even see Chelsea parking the bus with a 5-3-2 formation) but, it is the Champions League, and I wouldn't underestimate a team like Chelsea. Let's not forget that, over the last 12 matches against Barca, The Blues have managed to win 4 times while Barcelona only won 3. I know statistics belong to basketball and other sports, but the numbers clearly show that Stamford Bridge has been a difficult pitch for Barcelona.

Seriously?  Chelsea has no chance.  They'll be playing for a 0 - 0 draw here imo.  They can't afford to let Barca score an away goal for obvious reasons, or they gonna be dead at the second leg.

But they're dead anyway.  Lol.

Yeah, it's really the only match worth watching tonight and I'll be ignoring all the single bets for the Bayern game (@1.1 for ML and only @1.9 for over 3 goals?).

Barca's unbeaten in La Liga and Chelsea have had a torrid year so far but this match should see both leave their domestic form back in their leagues, the Champions League is always a different beast. It will be so tight and Chelsea's style will be much more comfortable with dealing with Spain's best at the moment, but I'm counting on Suarez to deliver the goods from Messi's magic.

Conte will be tempted to fire with Willian after his recent performance but I think he should just stick with whoever's the fittest and try to outmuscle Barca in midfield. My prediction: a 2-1 away victory.

There is one point that shouldn't be forgotten. Chelsea has one of the best managers in the world at the moment. You saw how much the Italian national team is worth without him. And it was a much stronger team than the one he managed, almost pulling of a European title.....

If this game was played 20 days ago, I would say that Chelsea has no chance of getting trough. In the meantime they have managed to put out 2 good performances so maybe they can get something from this first game. However, in my mind Barcelona is still overwhelming favorite to pass trough the next stage. For Chelsea to have any chance they need at least 2 goals in this first game vs. Barcelona defense which has only conceded 1 goal in first 6 Champions League matches this season. We always watch Barcelona trough their attacking prowess but this season they have strengthened the defense as well.

Although Chelsea plays at home I feel that Barcelona will dominate in the game because typical coaches from Italy always rely on counterattacks with strong defense. The greatest chance for Chelsea is to win from Barcelona in the first leg and they should be able to hold Barcelona in the second leg although it is not easy for Chelsea who is still improving their best performance this season.

Chelsea had big problems in the end of January and beginning of February that saw them suffer loses against against teams like Bournemouth and Watford but in the last two games they showed improvement and tomorrow they will face their biggest test in the season. I think that the visitors have much better chance to win because the blues have some important players will be doubt to feature in the game like Luiz Alonso Barkly and Bokayoko while Morata their main striker will be definitely absent in the game leaving Giroud the only leading Striker while Barcelona had a solid team allover the season so I expect the visitors to grab the three points.

He will spend money if club management have fund for it. Every team can be good with good findings but only one person can make them good and that is coach.

Yeah and look at where they are now that their luck ran out.  They had their 'Leicester year' and that was that.  Watch that whole season again and you'll see that they were statistically way above the mean in getting their shots in, exactly like Leicester in their championship season.  Luck played a big role in it.

And how can you say that City is only getting lucky when they already spent a ton this season?  Doesn't compute.  It's more than luck.  City's quality is above all in the EPL but arguably close with United.

I wouldn't say they have not met other strong teams. What about Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. Could you claim with certainty that those teams wouldn't be able to beat Barca, Real, Bayer and Juve?

But I am not defending Guardiola here. I am not his fan. And I am certainly not defending Manchester City.
One of the users said "of course they will spend if they want to win big"..... but there are spending and Spending. They are Spending. Their owners wanted success (and probably to launder money) over-night. The sums that the likes of PSG and Manchester City spend are ridiculous. And although I respect some of the managers (Guardiola, Mourinho) for being able to coordinate a team full of stars (each of those players would be a big star in a minor team, even those sitting on the bench or even in the stands), I still cannot consider a manager great if he never had a success with the club whose circumstances we could describe as normal or complicated.

I would enforce salary cap (not that poor attempt made by Platini) and something similar to drafting system they have in the USA. It is a great system and besides preventing money laundering and overpaid transfers it is also enabling the shift of power every few years (the team that was on the bottom has a chance to use strategy to get to the top.... in the European football that is impossible because everything is about the money). The system in the USA is not perfect - the salaries are too big with so many starving people out there, but it is much fairer and the competitions are much more interesting.
