Social media has allowed anyone with access to the internet and a few recording tools to embark themselves on the adventure to try to make money with their hobbies.
But make no mistake, this is no way easier than what it was on the past, and this is because now you are competing against people all over the world, and we know this is true because even if there are people out there with a lot of followers, the majority of those that try to earn money with their hobby only get a couple of likes a day, not enough to make a living through their passion I would think.
This is "unfortunately" true, because a lot of people realized that they could do this, but also a lot of people failed to do it. You are not going to be mr.beast and make tens of millions of dollars from your hobbies, you are going to probably spend hundreds and hundreds of hours doing something and you will not end up with anything good in the end, plus lack of networking will make you lose as well. All in all I have to say that it is going to hurt a lot if we try to just keep it this way, we should realize that getting paid for not what we like but we can, is the way to make money. Focus on your talents that worths money.
