hey, guys.

Can you help me to solve problem?
"solver benchmark error work with default"
3 of 7 cards show that error; 6 of them 1080 Palit, 1 MSI 1060

I tried --solver 0, it helped for ~1 day, after - it does not work.
Every time when I start miner, computer goes to reboot.

Swap is 16GB, MSI AB turned off (before it worked correctly 6 months). EWBW 0.3.4b

Any idea on that problem?

Ok First off this miner Rocks "yea showing my age lol". But have a question and not sure how to go about it. I want to track each GPU by giving them a different name. So they show up in the pool with that name but can't seem to figure out how to set it up in the batch File. Right now they all mine under one name...  So I have this one miner on steroids it looks like lol... I thank you all in advance for any help...  Wink Oh and yea I can't type to save my life so I have been editing this post a few times.......lol

You can launch as many instances as you want, one for each card if you like it that way, and give them different worker names. You’ll need to add the argument

Code:
--cuda_devices 0

Code:
--cuda_devices 1

You’ll be using duplicate resources but if you like it that way knock yourself out. I hope i explained myself.

How about you find a hobby that does not involve being the president of NAMBLA?

I also noticed, once I got it working, that one of my GPU's was underloaded, and the other one was massively underloaded. Total hash rate was 750, when I've seen 800 before on one of them, and about 1530 on both combined.

The software is obviously flawed. I found another version that actually responded to setting the solver to 0 instead of automatically putting one at 0 and the other at 3, and then the hashrates plummeted even further.

Obviously the software is deeply, horribly flawed. The same cards that got great hash rates on earlier version of EWBF, which would then just randomly lock up and quit getting shares, whereupon if I manually restarted the program, it just went right back up to 1500+, are now getting far less than half the overall hash rate as before.

I was wondering how he managed to screw up his software so badly.

As an aside, I get 1500 or so on NiceHash, so it isn't a hardware problem. It's a software problem. Perhaps if he fixed his software?

Perhaps if you bother trying to figure out why YOUR RIG is having issues when most of us do NOT have these issues?

I suspect the issue is the software between your ears....

:start     does what?   Thanks

I'm testing your start now..

:start
miner.exe --server europe.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com --user username.Worker --pass x --port 20595 --api 127.0.0.1:42000 --log 2 --fee 0 --pec

.. but with --port 3333

:start = douche?  I had no idea.

You finally got it.

Is anyone using anything other than zcash4win?  I heard its not a great idea to keep coins on a site, so I'm using this.
Never tried zcash4win but there is also Exodus wallet or JAXX wallet that you can mine to. Personnally I use a hardware wallet: Trezor. Ledger
nano S is also a good hardware wallet.

Don't forget Eleos and Swing too.

Never heard of Eleos,. .thanks.

That's a little hard to do with Nicehash always making miner devs offers they can't refuse.  I believe EWBF has been abandoned.  At least ZM has --noreconnect.

I wondered why miningpoolhub was so abysmally slow, then found out they ratcheted their difficulty down to the minimum to cost users money and power and time but make it so their inadequate servers could keep up.

Sad to think that a business that is there, ostensibly, to be a facilitator of mining would attack their users in this manner rather than upgrade. I was getting 1/6th the usual rate on Lyra2REv2. After I found that tidbit, I realized why miningpoolhub sucked so very, very badly. Oh, and they never answered any tech support questions. Bad pool. Bad software. Just bad, all around.

Ah, yes, not many were ready for the outflux of users from Nicehash. But, they will be back to business as usual after the people flee their pools and software to go with far more trustworthy nicehash. Nicehash has answered every question I have ever thrown at them.

Then just keep mining on nicehash.

Strangely, this just does not work.

The window appears for a while (I test it using the as-downloaded software,) and then just vanishes.

Any idea how to make it work?

Hmm this is very weird indeed. I have 2 other rigs with the same config and they are running smoothly as we speak. I don't know why this rig stopped all of a sudden. Thank you for your time though.

Also why not try MiningPoolHub? They can autoswitch your rigs between coins (you will mine the most profitable coin at the moment) and autoexchange everything to a coin of your choice. Just point your EWBF to their server and choose autoswitch for equihash (they have 4 coins: Zen, BTG, Zec, ZCL). BTG is the most profitable at the moment according to WhatToMine. So you can potentially increase profits, also it may solve your problem with the miner.

Great idea, I've looked at minipoolhub, but I'm totally overwhelmed and Lost with options and settings.

Don't know where to start or how to.
I've tried, but only got more confused fiddling with settings.
Witch port to set if I want only equhash algo but autoswitch to different coins?

Could you please share how a bat file should look like.
Maybe this way it could help me to figure it out and clear some of confusions.
Ty

true, their website is not very user friendly and confusing; just because they do have a lot of mining options with autoswitches and autoexchanges and their own miners compilations.
Just start mining with a single miner on a single coin without algo/coin autoswitches and without autoexchanges. Monitor it for several days, make sure you are happy with hashrates and earnings, then slowly learn new things.
This config will let you start with BTG:
Code:
:start
miner.exe --server europe.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com --user username.Worker --pass x --port 20595 --api 127.0.0.1:42000 --log 2 --fee 0 --pec
timeout 1
goto start
Replace port with 17023 for autoswitching between 4 equihash coins.
It does take some time but you will figure it out eventually.

Thanks for this info, really helpful.

How about you setup failover pools instead ?

No, I want it to quit when its supposed to quit to mine another algo when it is time.  It can't currently do that with a hard-coded 3 retries and 5 minutes of futility before it "gets it".
