What we're working on now in response to user feedback...

Number one thing that has been requested and that we are working on is mobile version!
We are looking forward to having an MVP to at least show screenshots of in the next week or two.

Home/Sports pages: Today's games should "stand out" more
Home/Sports pages: Allow quick bets direct from this page
Home/Sports pages: Leagues should be ordered (left men and tabs on List of Events) by liquidity expectations
Home/Sports pages: The loading of your beta page is slow at the moment

Market page: Show Scores/Game time when in-play
Market page: Show Flag/Badges/Logos next to team names
Market page: Show market data - (i) all money on the orderbook (ii) matched amounts (as per Betfair)
Market page: Add more sports and leagues
Market page: Add new Soccer markets - Correct Score, 1st half bets, Handicaps, etc

My Bets: Matched Bets should give a link to the market, just like in Unmatched Bets

Betslip: When a bet is added, focus should be on Odds box immediately, with Odds highlighted
Betslip: When in Stake box, hitting ENTER should submit bet
Betslip: Allow user to opt out of Confirming Bets
Betslip: Allow user to flag a bet so that it is not cancelled at In-play, but persists on orderbook
Betslip: Bet placement speed improvements

Betslip: User can set a standard stake amount which is auto-entered in stake

Education: Have an on-boarding "site tour" or introduction guide (that can be skipped if user chooses)

Login/Support: Allow passwords longer than 12 characters

Social: Add trollbox

Beta testers came from this forum, but also from Twitter, and from our network of betting and crypto industry contacts. We have been building exbet.io for a long time behind the scenes.

We are aiming to launch the site by the end of 2019. Fingers crossed we hit that, otherwise it will be early 2020.

We received a lot of feedback on the exbet.io user experience and the general look and feel. Lots of positive comments, but also some good feedback on areas we can improve:

We are considering opening up the beta again when we have mobile verison ready, to get feedback from all you wonderful people on how we've handled mobile... but no promises.

If we do open beta again, we'll make sure to DM you.

DANG! I was late on the party.Waiting up for those people who do able to join the Beta.

We think there are some good applications for cross-matching in the long term that allow for a simpler UX in binary markets. But Betfair went for years without implementing cross-matching and we don't see this as a priority for exbet.io until some time after launch.


Not at launch, but we're currently looking at:
(i) what is involved in supporting cricket at a product level (data, markets)
(ii) what the demand is (easier to do after launch, but initial feedback has been positive as you see)
(iii) ensuring sufficient liquidity in discussions with market makers

Good question about Telegram. Right now we have only Twitter, this thread on bitcointalk, and our email newsletter. We think that is probably enough channels to communicate before launch.. but Telegram is a possiblity. Other people have asked about a Telegram channel, so we will give it careful consideration.

Great that you are interested in the beta testing results and feedback, we will share a summary with everyone when ready.

It’s unfortunate that I missed the opportunity to take part in beta testing.  But still, I would like to know these moments, why do you have, apart from Twitter, no longer any public relations, such as Telegram?  In my opinion, the official group of your project should be in order to announce information and to communicate with potential customers online.  In addition, how will it be possible to find information about what the results of beta testing turned out to be?

We are also very much looking forward to launch and seeing the exchange fill up with BTC liquidity. The feedback we got on the beta was great, and to be honest, it feels like the core product we have now is more or less ready to go, after a few tweaks based on beta feedback. However, launch depends not just on the product, but also on having all regulatory hurdles cleared, and getting the final stamp from all appropriate partners and authorities.

I took part in the beta and am looking forward to trading some real BTC on the platform. Have been waiting for a decent bitcoin betting exchange for far too long...

We are not storing passwords in plaintext.

Limiting to 12 character passwords for the beta is something that we already reviewed internally since beta launch. It was an oversight that will be corrected before full launch. But thank you for pointing this out. Really happy to have you looking at the beta product - any other feedback is very much appreciated.

Just made an account to test things out. My biggest concern right now: Are you storing passwords properly? I'm limited to 12 character passwords for whatever reason (my default is at least 16 randomly generated characters or a randomly generated passphrase) which seems really dumb as if you are properly hashing and salting passwords, it shouldn't matter how long my password is as the hash length ends up the same for database storage. Please don't tell me you're storing in plaintext, even if it is a beta.
