When most of the website and business giving option to sign up with the Facebook and Google+.
With the same thing we need to go with the gambling or any cryptocurrency related websites too.
So the website is secured means we can go with the exchanges or else simply skip and do you work.

By next year we shall see the result of the Libra development and if its going to be a successful launch, do you think one day we shall see a facebook login button on exchanges like binance? Would you login to it?  Grin  I have seen this on websites like medium.com. Worse is taht not only binance but also kraken and bittrex  Grin

I think if a login is exchanged using Facebook, this is very bad, and obviously bad. If something happens with our exchange account, do we question the exchange about the problem we are experiencing, or we will ask the Facebook owner. Because this is one thing with two different databases.
if there are option like that, then i will decide to register with email instead of linking my personal facebook since we do not know how secure our information with that . And there is much secure to use email registering since its much safer  facebook account is prone in hacking.
Facebook accounts are more vulnerable to hacking. Maybe our Facebook isn't a national figure, so it's not the center of attention for hackers. I think Facebook is not a secure platform for account login for digital assets.

If Facebook would create that for sure they will make it more secure just for the sake of there users and image need how big there server is and total number of employees for sure they can handle the security if you really mean that. But if you worry about hacking issues then much better if you look on the links where your you try to log in and handle your account properly.
Yes, there are indeed many platforms that can join a Facebook account. But we must also see what platforms we join. When it comes to assets, I don't think it's right for us to use an assisted account.

Because we joined not with the official source of the account that we registered. An example already exists, those who register an XLM account using a Facebook account. Now the XLM account does not support Facebook accounts to login. So what is the solution?

The possibility of adoption like this will happen in the future, but login access via Facebook is only for alternatives, and there are many other ways to enter the exchange besides using facebook. I think very few exchange users would log in through Facebook, as long as it hasn't become a necessity, it's better to just ignore this kind of thing.

i don't really think about it, if indeed it will be realized in the next year then maybe only for an alternative and not be something that is required to use the facebook button. privacy issues or whatever it is i think goes back to the choice of each individual because it is a choice, and as long as it is not a necessity for every customer then just ignore it because it is enough as long as we are still comfortable

it wouldn't be mandatory of course, we still can login using our emails. centralize exchange are subjected to do KYC specially because they are mandated by governments to do these now that they are offering digital currency pegged in fiat. privacy issues are often compromised when a trader gets into the exchanges, we'd be lucky if login thru facebook isn't forced though.

if facebook suddenly has its own exchange which i really think is possible to happen if libra is approved, that would make users have to login on facebook before going to the exchange.

I don't think it's a good thing to log in to the exchange with FACEOOK. Recently, Facebook has had a lot of negative news, and it was revealed that it violated the privacy of users. Lips sealed
I think it's not important, just another way to log in besides email, 2FA is the most important security step for all exchange sites. And if someone signs in to your account via your facebook, Facebook will send you a warning message so I think using Facebook as a platform to log in is a good idea.
If you understand well how to secure your account by using those tools that available. You'll be able to increase your protections even you are using your social media account. It's all about knowing how to protect your personal information and so with your assets.
You can deal with anything if you know every factors that will protects you from potential attacks.

Facebook login on website is a means of gaining more audience and exposure for such website/business since facebook has a very large users and 70% of them are active.

The expectation is the same when exchanges use such options however there is no website/exchange that can make facebook login compulsory it shall always be optional.
I dont agree with this idea, we all know that sociap media such as facebook is easy to hack so if there is an option that you can use your facebook to login then we will see many facebook account hacked later. It is more secure to use your email than linkin your facebook account.

Yes, we should always use our email instead of Facebook because of definitely those exchanges will easily access to our personal details. Most of the social media platforms will ask to register with Facebook, but it is not a good idea to register those exchanges with our personal Facebook.

I'd rather prefer to log in via email since using our social media is really dangerous since we might get compromise for bad scenario if there's an issue will come to the exchanger who requires it and why would they ask it for log in? It's so shady to have that and much better to use another since using this is totally a bad decision to the user.
To be fair, when you are trying to log in through your social media account the exchange will just get the information needed and don't have the permission to somehow accessing your account and editing it. I always think that using social media as a method to log into any websites is a lot safer way rather than submitting your email and your password that are usually saved up in their database with a usually low level of encryption. It's not like if you are using your email it will be safer anyway. If their intention is malice, they could track your social media account through your email.

This isnt only applied on exchange platforms but on other services as well when it comes to logging in options. I never ever consider on using up my Facebook used for log-in which had been said
you are compromising your own account once that platform do experience data leak or whatsoever. Anytime i do sign up with new sites then a i create a new email for that and not even using
up my own main email that being used for personal means or does contain very important mails for me.We should be paranoid when it comes to security matters if we dont like to experience possible problems ahead.

Definitely not Facebook has weak security features, you should never use it to log in to anything investment websites where you have an investment, and I don't think the exchange will add this feature, because of Facebook vulnerability.
Email and strong passwords are still the best options, and 2fa to fully secure your account, exchanges and wallets are very important to have a third party interference.
Not just the security but also our privacy will compromise. The moment we connect our Facebook on any site, all our info will be expose. It's more like giving our info voluntarily. Anyhow, we can add more security on our account like enabling 2fa, I did that since there's someone trying to hack my account.

Likewise, I won't dare to log in through Facebook is that's really happen unless I'm out of my mind and everyone shouldn't.

you'd be amaze at how many people will actually do login using facebook button if this is really going to happen. those people in facebook are not aware for what is going on behind the data they give to facebook.

blockchain.om offers $25 worth of stellar (XLM), you can't believe how many people actually replied to a facebook thread. if facebook because they are super rich will offer $26 worth of Libra when they login to an exchange using the button, they'd all come running like wild hogs to submit KYC documents to claim it.
Mostly all those people register to recieve free XLM from blockchain is new to crypto they dont know the risk for giving thier passport to others. just for the sake of 25$ they can risk thier passport to unknown website without knowing what will be the consequences.

i hope that such a thing never happens,i would never do that, care too much about my privacy, kraken, bittrex and poloniex already require kyc to use them, binance is remained the only lighthouse of freedom

Yes, you are right, it is not a good way to share our information with the exchanges because through Facebook there is lots of personal information linked. So already we were submitting KYC to the exchanges then why should we login through Facebook. As of now, Binance is giving free, but if you are withdrawing higher amounts you need to submit the document for verification.
