Exchanges will have nothing to do with logging in with your facebook account because they know some accounts are fraudulent. Even if that is done, they will still require kyc which may not tally with your details because some details on facebook may not be the same as in your documents for verification.

Maybe this is going to happen that we will have one internet ID, maybe Facebook ID and with this ID we will be able to access all websites to prove our IDs. Because it is too annoying to pass KYC on every website that requires it.  Smiley
They don't need your facebook and if there was a platform that asking your facebook and that will need your personal data on your facebook too. KYC and AML is a worldwide standard in the verification process and it can't be replaced.

It might happen though, but I think there will still be options to login via other means. Although it might look easier but I don't think I will ever use that option of login in with Facebook, have never done it with any platform or website and won't do it with any exchange.
This is one of the reasons we need more advanced decentralized exchanges.

I don't care what happens. I want nothing to do with it. Let they do what they want, we don't need to support this. I won't. All it does is give FB more power than ever before. We must stop giving power to companies and groups that already have so much power. These people know too much about us already. We should do our own thing and leave them to do theirs. They don't know the true meaning of crypto.

I don't like using FB to login to anything because if your FB gets hacked so do all the accounts attached to it.

This may happen in the future I also think. Facebook is trying to monopolize the market with its already strength and power. Some collaborative partners will allow Facebook to do so. I think Facebook is trying to establish only one digital coin, Libra, to discourage other digital tokens. And there will be no wonder if exchanges are allowed to sing in through Facebook.

It seems to be something really unbelievable. Young guy, who decided to help people communicate in 2006, now is going to make a revolution. Facebook is really everywhere, but I do not think that it will be safe to log in the exchange with FB login. Some casinos offer the same thing, but they also have some alternative methods of entering their sites.
I would think a lot before I decide to use FB login.

By next year we shall see the result of the Libra development and if its going to be a successful launch, do you think one day we shall see a facebook login button on exchanges like binance? Would you login to it?  Grin  I have seen this on websites like medium.com. Worse is taht not only binance but also kraken and bittrex  Grin

Like buttons seem to be very useful for crypto exchanges, I think Facebook can provide more ideas for the future, because Libra will be listed in several exchanges, so this coin will be a coin that is easier to remember with logos like. I think it's good Grin Grin

Honestly I'm always very skeptical about developments like this, so I won't login to my exchange accounts with facebook unless otherwise proven safe with time. Facebook is known to have issues with data privacy so it leaves a big question mark as to whether our login details are safe when we choose to login to exchange via facebook.

One thing we need to take note is that, medium.com is not a crypto currency blockchain but blog page so you can log in via Facebook or gmail or whatever

Logging into top exchanges like binance with Facebook will end up a joke

That would be pathetic and very sad, I cannot imagine these exchanges having my personal informations all because I want to trade cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is supposed to provide anonymity.

There will not be any way to keep our privacy if such implementation is made across all global exchange, and there is no need to hold any cryptocurrency that doesn't guarantee privacy safety.

If you have all your personal details on your Facebook account, it's better not to use that login features, the exchange will see your friends list, trace your location and some personal data and besides Facebook hacking is very prevalent, it's much better to use your email with the authenticator turned on.

Libra does not have to be launched for exchanges to use this feature, this feature can be use presently by anyone that wishes to use it, you could even create your own website right now, and then write a code that will make people able to login using their Facebook account. Facebook coin is a cryptocurrency and will definitely be traded too on all exchanges, I don’t think that there is going to be any exchange that will have issue with Facebook.

In fact many exchanges will be waiting for Facebook coin to be launched because it will create more volume and more traffic into their exchange. The best part of Libra coin that I see is that it will create enough awareness for many people of the world and this will in turn generate a very high rate of adoption for cryptocurrency generally.

Obviously. Once they have fully implemented Libra all exchanges that partners with them will use Facebook as one more to way to login on their website. It's difficult to say how many people will use it but I definitely see it coming in the near future. Smiley
what's the source of this information? This could be misleading if it is not true but anything is possible with the government's interference.

More hassle than you think. If your exchange account tie to Facebook then it open more trouble because now, you have to keep your Facebook safe from fishing, hacking,... and a lot of other stuff.

In my opinion, i believe it all depends on what kind of information they wish to get from your facebook account. Normally before you apprthe whole process, you will be notified on what sort of information is requested from your facebook... This can be your name, email, gender and birthdate. It is not out of place to have ths since there will be a backup password and 2fa

Also we can see, Libra no need KYC for their verification.

Facebook already got so many identity on ther platform, login using your facebook account. Its mean you already give your identity to their platform for register, know your photo, email, etc.

That sounds SO unsafe. Especially if one store some money on such exchange and don't withdraw it frequently.

I don't see any issue at all I have a lot of websites that I log in using the Facebook application, but they are going to see your data, like your contacts, your pictures and some of your post, but when it comes to exchange, I recommend that you don't use that feature, log in using Facebook application and exchange is two different things because the latter deals with funds.

technological developments are increasingly advanced, many new conditions and innovations are emerging. to respond to this I feel there is no problem as long as the data is protected and secure. which is primarily one another must benefit.
