Why would anyone ever want to use Facebook as a wallet and then as an Internet bank,,, this I can never understand. It is tough enough to trust your country's government to take care of your money, and now we are talking about trusting some American corporation?

So on that logic, an exchange asking users to use FB to sign up? I would stay far, far away!

From my point of view, we must avoid login using facebook account. I don't feel good or like to reveal my personal information to other accounts. I see this only benefit to exchanges as they want to grow their user base.

I do not see nothing wrong with that. This is a quick access. It's easier. Everyone is so worried about their private data. But they are no secret to anyone. One mistake on the Internet and that's it. Your data across the entire network.

Let us first see the possibilities of Libra connecting out information on our Facebook to their platform and are they willing to give it out to others? I know Libra is such a great huge project, privacy is essential in all crypto projects, what more Facebook can do for it.

I don't think that Libra by any means will be used as a pair in some of exchanges, they already have USDT so why bother adding more stablecoin like Libra to their exchange also to consider that there might be so many complications happening from the facebook's side and the regulator side. That just a bad business move, if it ain't broken don't fix it.

By next year we shall see the result of the Libra development and if its going to be a successful launch, do you think one day we shall see a facebook login button on exchanges like binance? Would you login to it?  Grin  I have seen this on websites like medium.com. Worse is taht not only binance but also kraken and bittrex  Grin
I don't think Facebook will allow other exchanges to exist if they become most successful in the cryptocurrency market they will create all the the trading platform on their website itself and make the people to convert them into their labra token but the reality of happening is not anyway near to us.

If that is happening with Libra, I don't think that will be a problem because we can log in with our facebook account. But if that is for the other project, then I don't think that people will feel comfortable with that. They will prefer to use email as the login, and I will feel the same because I don't want to use my Facebook account to login with any other projects. It is still better to use different ways to login into the project.

I think its possible to happen since libra is a coin from facebook but its just an option and not mandatory if you want to connect your account to login in exchanges.

I want to remain my fb account in private (even there's a convenience or verification that would be easily process) hence connecting it to any site is a no for me.

I highly doubt this would ever happen. This is going to be the most terrible decision made by the Libra team if they will do it. But I have no reason why they would do that. As a matter of fact, the Libra team is aware enough that their Facebook reputation is not well-accepted by a lot of people. This is the primary reason why they seem to distance themselves from the Libra Project. Marcus once quipped that people don't have to trust Facebook at all in order to trust Libra.

And on top of everything, we do not even know whether Libra would see the day of their launching. Powerful offices in the government as well as huge companies are holding it back.

Login to an exchange with Facebook I don't think it's a problem, because there are indeed many websites that use features like that, I think it makes it very easy for us to register or login into a website

No ways!! Facebook already has too much info on us. I never use facebook as a login method. What if one day you somehow lose your facebook profile and then you have lost your access to whatever you were logged into.
It is better to register per website or platform. I just hope it doesn't give people the wrong idea with this Libra coin.

Using Facebook account to login exchanges is too risky since many hackers are hacking Facebook accounts easily, that will be a stupid idea

well, what I'm worried about is that if Facebook coins are actually officially released, is the privacy data on Facebook guaranteed safe?

Do Facebook users have to join Crypto too?

while Mark Zeburg is the developer of this application and automatically they also have full control on this application? and they can do anything with this application.

If this really happened, it would be very funny to me because it would be more insecure (related to security risk). If someone successfully hack your Facebook account then your exchange account will also be easily hacked.

Personally, I avoid various registrations (whatever it is) by using social media account. Except for Medium, even then it uses a Google account (and medium is not an exchange)

It's not funny, but it may happen. So far, some media social accounts and mailing become one of the ways to register or login in some platform. However, for the Libra next platform, I don't know what will they use. If this is one of the options, I think that it is better to use email option for logging in because it will be more secret than should use FB account.

Promoting or advertising exchange using facebook page how to use and trade crypto exchange is good idea to convince people invest in crypto currency. But using facebook to login account linking into facebook account is very risky their more possible to hack and lose coins investment.

It is a possibility but certainly not a wise option if you are security conscious. Facebook accounts are vulnerable to hacks so your funds could easily be compromised. You certainly do not also want to give facebook access to sensitive financial details giving the fact that they have a history of privacy violations

This Libra project is long over stretched. It should come out already let's know what actually it's all about. If there's a log in button through Facebook, it wouldn't be the first. Most sites these days request for log in through Facebook. I would even prefer it rather than all these KYC stuff that one has to submit sensitive details to unknown parties.

It should be safe, I normally login with my Google ID or Facebook, but you have to be careful and check for the SSL certificate to prevent the phishing attack. Be careful everytime when it requires to login again on the opened site even you know that you are logged in.
