Thanks man! I think I am going to have to go for a dedicated VPS though, seeing a relatively high stale rate (~22%). I'll leave this one up to act as a node but you may want to keep an eye on that stale rate. Using the cheapo (free) amazon and I don't think it can keep up =\

You orphan rate is higher than avarage, much higher
have you tried using --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 in your command line ?
There/s one person on my node with 1 MHs and he has 5EXE payout after 23hrs.
I think you should not worry and give it some more time

I have those setting already and made no difference. Could it be that I have manually set my diff to 92?

I had the same problem, on a small private node with 750khash, the orphan rate was around 20% and the estimated time to share was way off (back to normal pool).
Ran into the same problem - realized that I hadn't forwarded P2Pool ports to this box so I wasn't getting any peers. I left it running overnight with my "little" miner for testing, now seeing 8.9% Stale Rate. Would suggest opening/forwarding 9980 - 9989 on your router.
Thinking about getting a VPS and opening up another node, will keep you guys posted :-)

When I was running my vertcoin pool I don't recall having so many orphans.
10hr and my payout is now 2.05 I would have thought I would be at 5 by now.

Oh, guys remember , when using p2pool your payout will grow with time and will stabilize in 2-3 hours, there's also a benefit - when you'll finish mining your payouts will still come to your wallet for a few hours

I gave it a try - and no - it wont stabilize in 3 hours. I got 6 exes for 10 hours at 850kh/s - way too few. Yes I know - usually it should be better after 24 or even 48 hours - yeah but in that time the difficulty of a coin go up like hell and if it turn out that the p2pool is crappy then -in the worst case- you have lost 2 days of good mining at lower difficulty. I am sick and tired of searching for good pools. Will go back to dedicated now
Working totally fine for me. Sometimes the payout can be delayed with p2pool. Check your address on the pool page to make sure your DoA rate isn't super high.
Yes buddy - I've noticed today that the payouts are very delayed. After I stopped mining 12 hours ago the payouts are still coming in and are still increasing. Normally the payouts are decreasing much faster after stopping the miner.
So all good - good pool I think

that's the way the p2pool works - it rewards constant miners, but it also pays after you stop mining When you enter the pool your payouts get bigger with time , so it sucks, but it works the other way also so it's cool
But it's always fair (over a longer period of time
