Anyone have any ideas as to why the difficulty is going down (aka fewer people mining)?  I'm not complaining because it means more for me, just kinda currious, is it because more of the standard scrypt coins are becoming profitable again (maybe people going back to profit switching pools?)?
Also a ton of sell orders on the exchanges.  No buys... sigh

That's why working with merchants would be more benefitial at this point than adding EXE to another exchange.

Does anyone knows if dedicatedpool has issues with the execoin pool? I haven't been getting any coins since 1:35pm EST.

I'm seeing the same thing on their pool...hopefully it's just a reporting issue as shares are still being accepted.  Undecided

I'm moving to http://exe.poolz.net/ since dedicatedpool seems messed up right now.

You could also consider a p2pool (such as http://216.249.119.195:9173) even if you don't use them as your primary pool, they make excellet failovers.  If one node were to go down, the others stay up and you can switch over to a different node without worring about having to wait till your pplns payout goes up (they're all part of a decentralized network that keeps track of how much work you've done on the p2pool).

miners are going where profit is, small miners like me(single card) tend to stay loyal but people with farms are just in it for profit and mining whatever most profitable(asia and whitecoin these days are ones where people go to mine, even rig rentals are way overpriced right now due to few coins that came out and are very profitable for now) anyway i'm mining exe cause difficulty is just to good right now.

Register at mintpal and vote 5 times per hour for exe to be added for trading.
I gues the coin need some volume .
BTW i love the coin great wallet great community slow but steady not to greedy Wink

Thank you for the tip.
But I think I have a better idea.
We have ~5000 votes on Mintpal and the highest coin in the voting list has more than 100 000.
Even if somebody votes 15 hours a day (75 votes in total), we need 1000 people/days to get 75000 votes.
So this can be our long term goal and please don't let it to be forgotten.

For now I recommend to vote here: https://www.coinpayments.net/vote
Yes, it costs a bit, but we are in second place and we need 30-40 more votes to secure our position in a first place (where Vertcoin is sitting now)

Hey,

Any blockchain with working api? Official one has been offline for some time now.

Try http://execo.in/

That was the first thing I did. Unfortunately api requests are causing python errors.

Sorry for messed API, fixed. Use with pleasure.

how many coins would 2100kh/s a day? i can get a decent deal on a rig for 800 bux but am not sure on what kind of return i would get . At the moment exe would be the only coin i would be interested in mining

Depends on the difficulty, you can use the coinwarz estimate or compare your hashrate to the estimated payout of some one else at http://exe.poolz.net/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool (you may have to do a little bit of calculating to get closer to your actual), or if your a die hard you could manually calculate the payout yourself.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the correct method is:

( ( Difficulty * 2 ^ 32 ) / hashrate ) / (24 hr * 60 min * 60 sec)  * Coins per block

where hashrate is your hashrate in hashes/sec (eg 600 kh/s is 600 * 1000 h/s) and coins per block is the amount of coins generated per block (currently 50).

I have used that site for weeks.  Not one issue but with difficulty so low I am solo mining.

Next goal should be coinpayments.net.  This would be big for EXE.

VOTE!!

Voted!

Anyone else want to vote to add Execoin to CoinPayments? Right now Potcoin is beating us  Roll Eyes

You do need a CoinPayments account and pay to vote, but you can use BTC (0.001), LTC (0.03965) or DOGE. Personally I used DOGE, it was ~760 DOGE.
