We all do have different expectations upon different situation and it depends on us how we will handle such expectations to come into reality because if we just keep on expecting, nothing will literally happen because it will just remain a mere imagination. But good thing that upon entrance of the year 2020, our expectations for the whole cryptocurrency community that the price will get into an increase have come into reality which have started from Bitcoin down to other cryptocurrency in the market. Well I guess with thi happening, we all do have big expectations that something big will soon to come in the crypto industry. But for me, I just let the happenings to flow in front of me so that no disappointments will happen if my expectation doesn't come into reality. We must let the sequences to happen. If it will happen then it is good, if not, maybe it will come in some other time around. We just need to keep on holding and believing and surely those expectations will come true in no time.
I quit expecting in light of the fact that we are simply going to be frustrated, the force can't continue, the value is going here and there and we don't have the foggiest idea when will we arrive at the following unequaled high or will we ever reach $18-20k again, we simply need to anticipate the more regrettable and trust in the best to come.
But this is exactly why we should not predict and just give in to the market. Keep buying regularly, ignore the price,,, and when 18k comes that is when you wake up and sell what you need to.
Anticipate the worst always, and always remember the golden rule of investing only what you can afford, then everything will be fine.

what people expect, actually what people hope. when they expecting high value, they are just hope for high value in next time. people just need more support, and they are gather around to power up their hope. and people just follow the flow, when the value hit it they will sell what they have.
I think my expectations for 2019 yesterday are quite close to reality. because I hope in 2019 yesterday bitcoin can reach $ 14k but in reality the highest price of bitcoin in 2019 is $ 13k. and I think this is quite beneficial. I bought bitcoin at the beginning of the year when bitcoin fell at a price of $ 4k then I held it until bitcoin reached a value of $ 12k. I get a big enough profit. I am very grateful that this year bitcoin can again provide a large profit.
every year bitcoin provides benefits for investors who can be patient and have the ability, because the potential is better than altcoin. my story in 2019 was not much because the investment I made was also not much. but that year was enough to provide the experience to be patient in price conditions that were not much profitable for altcoin holders. 
My expectations were very close to what is happening now in the market. I stopped believing in miracles for a long time and don't expect more huge growth.
Number one lesson: be hopeful (due to the prospects of the industry) but keep and open mind (because, not all predictions and assumptions turn out real). Crypto is not mathematics and thus anything is bound to happen. I am more of the latter, my hope for crypto is immeasurable and I hope it fulfills all its potentials
But when it comes to the short term I am very cautious, the volatility of bitcoin is huge compared to the volatility of other assets and its price can go up and down abruptly, so in that time frame I keep my mind very open since I do not want to be caught off guard and bitcoin surprises me and I lose money because of it.
Everyone expects the price of the cryptocurrency to rise but I expect all cryptocurrency prices to drop by the beginning of the new year. Because if the price drops at the beginning of the year, I can invest enough in cryptocurrencies and expect them to rise at the end of the year. The only thing I will say is that it is not right to expect much from reality. We should all expect to be in line with reality. One should never expect the price of the cryptocurrency to be a surprise.

And maybe after halving I think it takes time for bitcoin to reach a new ATH, and maybe a new ATH can happen at the end of this year or even into 2021.

There is no uptrend yet and what we are seeing today is bitcoin dropped below $7K, so it's not a good start though.

I hope the price of bitcoin and altcoin can move significantly but vice versa. The market said differently that the price of cryptoqurrency this year did not experience a significant change, even when BTC pumped up to $ 9k when it did not affect the other altcoin prices at all. the current market reality is really bad.
But in the year of 2019 we saw a time when the price of bitcoin reached to $14000 that was a great achievement of bitcoin in that year and because of that a hope again appeared in the hearts of many people and the price of bitcoin gain a good position and the investors again came to participate in the trade etc. It is right that altcoin showed not like the year of 2017 but they all got some breathe and it is expected that in the year of 2020 they all will also get a high value.

IMO, there is no need to be so much negative about the current situation. Apart from the decline in the exchange rates, there are a lot of things which are occurring in the background, away from the attention of the vast majority of the users. First of all, many of the useless shitcoins are becoming dead or dormant and the degree of market fragmentation is decreasing. Another thing I have noticed is that many of the established coins (Ethereum for example) are moving from the power-intensive PoW algorithm to the more environmentally friendly PoS algorithm.
In the current situation it is frustrating to face the price of crypto currencies on the exchange which has continued to decline very far. I hope in the crypto currency will soon experience a significant price increase. thus making us able to cultivate a high spirit in reinvesting.
for traders that buy on high price ofcourse will be very frustrating , they having floating minus now. But traders that have skill in analizing chart they and have no floating minus , recognized current situation was best opportunity to buy cheap coins in market . we must have positive sight in any condition so we could think clearly and take all opportunity around us..

Just try to take any news and chart as the reality to be trusted by us. Let those people are still dreaming to see that their dream will happen in a short time. The huge growth will come when crypto gets a bunch of good news especially from the institutional investors or buyers. 
Post from September, time is passing fast. Bitcoin dropped in the mean time, some other alts too, while some are moving up like tezos for example, and there are couple more. What is happening with the market currently? Like always people are buying and selling, more then before. I think this market is in the stage of accumulation, many things are happening everywhere around, prices are moving up and down, but that doesn't stop people from working for crypto, from trading, or gambling. We see new exchanges, new casinos, new services, many things are new, and we are going forward I believe.
Crypto market will explode once again in the future, this accumulation period will end one day, I strongly believe in that.
