So all the idiots who were accusing me of FUD on the third day of CM going down finally woke up and realized that it is an exit scam.
Even the crappiest crypto exchange does not require more than 24 hours to recover.

Now, going forward there is one clear course of action.

We need to quickly hire a lawyer who operates in the same jurisdiction as whatever registrar that CM is migrating to.
This lawyer shall then be required to issue a subpoena to the registrar as soon as possible.

This will in turn force the registrar to divulge the personal information of the server guy behind CM.
Using that information we need a community member to quickly contact law enforcement in whatever country that server guy resides, and lodge a case against him.

Through this server guy, we can then be able to obtain information on the rest of the CM team.
In the meantime, we need to explore legal ways to confiscate all servers owned by CM such that coins can be returned.

Time is of the essence, as the f**kers behind CM are clearly using the excuse of host migration to throw people off their scent.

Stop talking and start doing something.

Anybody here with experience starting a crowd funding website???

I looked at kickstarter and it seems like it would be a good hub for giving updates while collecting pledges to fund the CM hunt.
There are no funds deducted from any account until the project reaches its funding goal - which is yet to be decided.
From the fund we would offer bounty for verified information and employ investigator and legal team.
Members of the fund would receive their funds first from recovered coins, before the remainder being distributed.
If everybody could pledge 5% of what they have lost I am sure we would have a substantial fund to track CM down.
I don't think kickstarter accepts BTC so if there is a more suitable option please suggest.

I am happy to get things rolling, just looking for a little guidance from the experienced for suitable crowdfunding platform.
It is up to us as part of the crypto community to bring CM to account - apathy is not a option.

It's all about logistics -
First, who will be the Leader?
Second, where will we congregate?

Yes I agree there are some technicalities to be sorted out - but these are not show stoppers.
First item is to get the community organised and pulling together instead of wasting energy on despair and anger.

We gather members with skills and knowledge in various areas and have a central point for communication and posting of progress.
A face book page was suggested so we could control and block an negative trolls - but I am leaning towards a crowdfunding site of some kind as it also allows communication as well as keeping track of pledges and holding the funds until goals are reached - so offering some protection for the pledges.

I do not have a significant investment in CM - but believe they need to be brought to account for the sake of the crypto community.
There may be someone else out here that want to take the lead because of their sake in the game.
It would be ideal to somehow secure these funds via escrow to make sure they are spent appropriately - not sure if there is some sort of reputable service that can take this roll.
I am looking for positive suggestions and will need the support of the community.

Time to end the wait and take action
Unfortunately action will take personal effort

I'm hoping our coins were sold at ATH first week of January, and they'll give us a 50/50 split.  It seems the coins are still there and holding 10-30% of value from one month ago if you check the wallets.
So you think they sold our coins at high prices and now buying them low?

I think so, They are waiting for the dippest moment of market or BTC, And they will buy our coins on that moment..

Btc is going down again and that`s why they are delaying us again ..

The absolute best case scenario is that the owners are too stupid to be trusted with tens of millions of $$$.

The most likely scenario is they are biding their time, making sure they've covered their tracks and waiting for an opportune time to move and dump people's coins without getting caught, they may also be finding buyers because some exchanges may be willing to work with victims to seize the coins.

Either way, tracking them down can only be a good thing. No exchange should be down this long.

I agree. We should have some actions towards CM. Even manually returning the coins back to users is doable and should have already been completed if they started when crash happened. Don't want to be fooled anymore. If trading is still not available, that's not a problem. Just return the coins back to users, in whichever way.

Can someone here who has 100+ karma make a reddit thread(which we all should upvote) on r/cryptocurrency explaining the whole situation as deployed as possible? Lets take actions, guys, we should stop sitting here and hopelessly waiting for cm to come back. We need to spread awareness and let as much people as possible know about this.

Something like this?

Awesome. I sincerely hope this gets us somewhere. I've lost a lot of money because my coins were held up and not being able to do anything about it whole the market was crashing.

it seems all are aware of this situation, besides what good awareness can give us? still evryone agrees that actions should be taken, but no one knows exactly what actions.
Who are "all"? I haven't seen talks about cm anywhere besides this forum and few others with minimum attention.

As for your second question - look up this post.

People

It appears as the time has come to make a unified community effort to track down and expose CM owners and staff.

If you are one of the many on this site that continually prove your low IQ and personal insecurities by negative comments and flat out abuse – please do not read on or reply.

Many like me have suffered loss from CM not because of ignorance, but because it was the only exchange that offered a market for some coins, and to trade on these required a balance to be deposited.

Sure trading in crypto currencies can be like the lawless wild west, and it will remain that way unless communities pull together to bring the crooks to account.

It seems from the onset that CM has gone to great length to hide and remain anonymous and their resent communications (which are minimal) only appear when there are signs that the community are gaining strength by organising themselves into an effective and possible treat.

I believe there was gentleman in this post that organised a website for posting of news and events for the pursuit of CM but I cannot find it at this time – maybe someone can dig that out and repost.

So as a constructive way forward I propose
•   The community establish a reliable hub of verified information (ie website as mentioned)
•   Create a registrar for expression of interest in contributing towards a fund to hire investigators and legal team
•   I suggest that as is the norm contributors to this fund are first in line to receive what is owed to them from recovered funds, the remaining then available to be distributed to non contributors
•   Funds are secured by trust third party escrow service or trust and released as directed by a committee formed from funds contributors
•   Action to continue until either
       o   CM fully operation
o   Or CM owners identified and funds recovered
•   No misdirection or promise made on behalf of CM will stop this pursuit until CM is fully operational

Suggested action for CM Devs
•   Daily communication on CM news site
•   Get the site up ASAP
•   If you fear for your safety – request protection from the relevant authority
•   Have that authority community with this community group for verification

I am not suggesting a lynch mob, just a organised community of affected persons that will put an end to all the mis information and hatred, with the end goal of providing a win / win for CM and its affected customers.

We just have to find smart qualified people who re willing to help.
SO SPREAD THE INFORMATION EVERYWHERE YOU CAN. LET EVERYBODY KNOW.
ANY ACTION IS USEFUL AS LONG AS YOU DONT JUST SIT THERE AND DO NOTHING.

Post on r/cryptocurrency is important.
