To all bounty hunters on this wonderful forum i want to know if its advisable to continue with the bounty you have been promoting for 12weeks that got extra 8weeks added more, have you promote projects this long that ends up with good end results? Thank you
All depends on situation. Usually bounty campaign prolonging if main sale prolonging too. That means project can't reach it's goal and needed more time for it. So it's not a good sign.
I would say that this is a very bad sign and the worst thing is that in this case, as a rule, the extension happens without increasing the pool of coins allocated for the bounty campaign. it significantly reduces rewards

It would be helpful if you'll do another backgeound check about the campaign so that you could clear your mind with the doubts regarding the credibikity of the bounty. Second, it really depends on the situation, there are times that the bounty is prolonging the campaign because the demand is good and the project is having a good outcome or the project isn't meeting its goal with their initial time frame so they extend it to meet the goal and this isn't actually good. Identify whether of the two sitiations you are in so that you could decide.

In this situation, the bounty manager should request an increased budget from the project. Bounty hunters should then do some background research to find out whether the project is struggling to meet its funding goals, or whether the extension is being added for another reason. If the project is failing, then I would recommend cutting your losses and stop working on the project. Also, if the bounty manager didn't add a stipulation that the date can be extended, then you should avoid following their bounties in future as they are clearly operating without much integrity.

Easy to say cutting your loss when you have not worked for 8 weeks to them and then extend for another weeks. But its definite one that might have to do unless he risk continuing the blatant abuse already while the team's token isn't yet officially in the market. The scam could be more fatal when finally the bounty campaign ends and the market is open.  Allocations for the bounty campaigns may be distributed too late, that's where the scam could go blatantly go worse.

For you to have promoted the project for 12 while weeks, I think it's a good indication that you love the project and since that's the case, you wouldn't want to waste the efforts of 12 weeks, if it were me, I would ask the bounty manager to allow me leave with my stakes intact but if he/she refuses, I would continue the campaign for the 8 extra weeks, I don't like wasting any of my efforts, unless you have a pressing campaign that you wanna join but if there isn't, I would just have continued it till the end.

usually the bounty has not reached the soft cap or hard cap, so the team increases the duration of the bounty and hopes to reach their target. the second possibility is that they (all teams) believe that the project will be a great success, so the duration is added to attract even more investor interest and achieve even greater profits.

no need to be surprised and surprised by events like this. I think it's natural but it would be better to be on time according to the original plan. unfortunately on the way it can not be that easy. some projects have experienced marketing constraints and take longer than the initial plan to get stronger funding for the platform. as long as there is no suspicion of fraud for the project I think it is still safe to remain followed. but you must consider the results obtained. thankfully if there will be an additional allocation for the bounty, but if it's not possible you can talk it out with the bounty manager to get the best decision.

Upon the end of ICO, adding an extra week by the team will not be a great decision considering the eagerness of the bounty hunters. They expect to see the end of the bounty campaign as soon as possible but the project management has another idea for controlling this. If the bounty manager agrees to give the stakes of the bounty weeks which you have done your job as a bounty hunter, go for the next project. Otherwise, the choices are limited.

We have the freedom to choose, if we think that the project didn't even meet the soft cap, then is on our part if we still want to continue, or you will just find some bounties that you think if legit and can accomplish in ICO. For now, better to choose project that are conducting IEO rather than ICO, as we know that IEO is more legit nowadays, but still doing research should not remove in our task.

Always take time reading all the rules and checking the reputation of the team and if it is being managed by an independent bounty manager, check his reputation, some rules are a trap, all bounty campaign rules can change the rules anytime is already considered a trap, check if you can leave the campaign and keep your stakes, it's always better to join this campaign, so you are not forced to join the extension of the campaign but for me all bounty campaigns are risky.

The most important thing to see is the rule of getting stakes. If the bounty have a rule that we have to use their signature or doing social media thing until the end of the bounty or we lost all the stakes we better not join the bounty because if the project is not funded yet and they extends the bounty time, we will just waste our time on not interested project. So, becareful with that rule. We have to avoid bounty with that such rule

If you actually promoted a bounty for 12 weeks and more 8 weeks added, check the project progress and the terms and conditions to decide whether to continue or not. For instance if wearing signature, and they say you can remove signature after 3 weeks and your stakes will be given, then you can comfortably remove it and join any other bounty you wish. But if you really see progress in the project  there is no need to stop, some end up being cool, although most reward will reduce.

If they are still gonna keep your stakes for you, it's better for you to stop promoting the project as soon as possible. Any project extending their campaign doesn't mean they'll pay you immediately after the campaign, it do take a whole lot of time before they could. I have experienced such projects, up till yet I haven't been paid. I regret ever promoting them to the end of their extended weeks

This is a very frustrating thing about extentions of a bounty campaign, and I don't even care how much allocation be added to it. What's more important is that we've going to catch a good reward somehow, because even if you been successfully completed with the campaign hence a project didn't obtain a good market, still it's a useless efforts. If a project continues with their campaign, developers should provide a transparency towards participants so they won't be disappointed in the end.
agree with what you say. if this happens, the team needs to be transparent about the funds collected and the reasons why the project is extended. based on experience, some projects do that because they are waiting for investors, or chasing hardcap because investment funds are collected little by little, so the time is extended. however, I suggest continuing to support if the project is 90% going to run after the sale is complete.

Of course, that's a good thing because it's a sign that the services/product you are promoting receives great number of sales due to your advertisement. Always remember that they will not extend the bounty in the first place if they no longer get any benefits in return. Imagine, why they are willing again to spend good amount of BTC for you to extend wearing their signature? It is a clear sign that you and all of the participants of such campaign is working effectively Cheesy. Don't hesitate, just grab it as long as no issues make you concern!

A bounty campaign with 20 weeks duration is a pretty long time to continue. Recently a bounty campaign called Alchemy extended their period from 4 weeks to 20 weeks, which is just ridiculous! I would not join there at this moment, maybe I will do it when there will be 4-6 weeks left! Personally, I would suggest you leave that campaign, most of the time these bounty rewards will be a penny. But if you are doing that campaign's signature, then leaving will be a bad idea as you already did that campaign for 12 weeks!
Exactly, after staying in the campaign for 12 weeks, and all he only need to wait for 8 more weeks until the end of the project, he should have continued since he was there from the very beginning. If he ever leaves, then he won't be able to receive his reward. All his hard work and patience will be put to waste and nothing to receive after waiting for almost 3 months.

It doesn't sound great. They have offered to pay you for a certain amount of work over 12 weeks. Now they want you to do an extra 8 weeks' work for no extra payment. They are effectively almost halving your pay. This is not what a good project would do. If they're not prepared to pay extra for extra work, then it's a bit of a red flag for me. A couple of extra weeks, sure, that's not too bad - but an extra 2/3 again on the original length? No.

What guarantee do you have that when the 8 weeks is over, they don't suddenly extend by another 10 weeks? People will have invested 20 weeks then that they don't want to risk by leaving. It could go on forever.

My recent experience has been following the project with a duration of 22 weeks and added 4-5 weeks and I started to join at week 23. And at the same time I began to be suspicious about the project and made an immediate decision to leave there.
so, my advice is go and find another project that is better than before, than you sticking with the same option will only waste your energy / time.
