To all bounty hunters on this wonderful forum i want to know if its advisable to continue with the bounty you have been promoting for 12weeks that got extra 8weeks added more, have you promote projects this long that ends up with good end results? Thank you

I have joined a bounty project in the past that extended their campaign for another 6 months. A social bounty campaign. Even though frustrated with the announcement, I continued doing tasks because somewhat I believe in the project and trust the bounty manager. More than half of the participants left the campaign which I think is good cause only a few would divide the stakes. After the extended campaign, the release of stakes took more months that I forgot about it.
Boy Im glad I continued. Because my perseverance bore fruit. Got big stakes because only a few divided the stakes and the coin has big value when released in the market has big value.
One of my biggest and rewarding bounty campaign so far.
This happens when the project did not get enough funding  for the project. You are lucky that the project succeed that you are paid more than enough of the expectations. There are projects  that are also extended but really failed in the long run and gone. It depends on the project also if their project is feasible, profitability, with solid dev team , and especially the backers for the funding and support.

It depends, if you think there's a good reason for the additional weeks extension and there's additional campaign allocation then its fine as long as the project is progressing and you know your effort will be worth it once it came to an end.

But nowadays extending the campaign doesnt guarantee that the project will succeed if they maximize the months of promotion. With lots of scam project existing its better to think about it carefully, sometimes its their way to lure investors and to delay the payment of participants.

This is not advisable for me unless the campaign is also increasing the allocated reward for the bounty campaign participants. However, you may take a closer look at the project itself. If it is more of a scam than a legit project, leave it. It is better to waste 12 weeks promoting a scam than waste 8 weeks more. I have promoted all kinds of projects in the past. Most projects that extend and extend are worthless projects. Which project is it by the way? Is it the one whose signature you are wearing now?

Well it really depends on the campaign or the project if they have extra weeks to do but there are some that is not really advised to continue, yes, like there is no increased in the bounty pool or if it is not necessary to finish the campaign and must remove the signature properly with the consent of the bounty manager. Most of this project are not successful as they are extending because they are near to their target or softcapitalization and just running after to it at the very least.

It always comes down to the reward after bounty ends, i expect such bounty to add more tokens to the bounty allocation if not i will stop promoting such bounty, adding more tokens means they are sincere and serious about paying bounty hunters for their work

I've experience bounties like that before, though I didn't join, I just see it on altcoin bounties thread where they need to extend the bounty for some reasons such as lack in investment by investors, or they need to settle longer period of time because of an internal update regarding their project. But there are those bounties that aren't really paying despite extending the bounty too long. I would advise that you re-evaluate the project and try to see if there are flaws that might be considered for you not to trust their extension.

Yes, they do it, when they are having a hard time reaching their soft cap, they can do that because when you joined the bounty campaign you are bound by the rules of the campaign if you are going to join a campaign, be sure that you can leave the campaign anytime and you can retain the stakes, so you will not bound by the campaign rules.

Finally I found a campaign that worths it, so I hope that it will never end. After many campaigns where I earned worthless tokens I found a campaign where I get paid in Bitcoin. And those who are true believers understand that 1$ in BTC per post means possible 10-100$ in the future.
Can you share this bounty for us? We'll love to join in Grin

They must have a reason for extending the bounty. You can continue if due diligence was carried out on the project and if you have validated that they're serious. If all the boxes are not ticked, you're best staying off and looking for a better bounty.

Do not leave the bounty for another unless the new bounty is very worthy, because you might end up wasting your time when you promote new bounty, its better to stick with the old bounty, you must have joined for a reason
A tough choice, if it continues it will take time and not guarantee the project is successful.
leave the bounty and join the new bounty but it's not necessarily successful too.
the risk of joining a bounty means having to accept all the consequences, devoting your time to results that are not necessarily clear.

I have done it 4 weeks with an additional work of 1 week in total 5 weeks whereas from the beginning they said in the bounty thread only 4 weeks were written, so for that there was added 1 week towards the end of the campaign and for me it was not a problem as long as agreed with no deductions payment
does dev provide information about the increment of time made? usually they have a reason, if the reason is right then just continue the work. most importantly know their reasons for the extra time that occurs

What if the addition of the bounty extension is not clear? . This often happens when the bounty campaign follows the Token Sales but because not so many are investing the team extends to an undetermined time. Don't we also lose in terms of time? and even then we also may not be able to benefit or not from promoting

depending on the type of project. when a project really needs extra time for development or waiting for an investor I might be waiting for it. however, 8 weeks is a long time.  when the project already has a product, has a famous partnership, and also already has a partnership with the market so that after the sale, the tokens can be traded immediately, it is a project that is worth waiting for. in addition, we have also been working on the task for 12 weeks. but, it needs to add extra allocation in accordance with the extension of the bounty. that's my opinion

This is a very frustrating thing about extentions of a bounty campaign, and I don't even care how much allocation be added to it. What's more important is that we've going to catch a good reward somehow, because even if you been successfully completed with the campaign hence a project didn't obtain a good market, still it's a useless efforts. If a project continues with their campaign, developers should provide a transparency towards participants so they won't be disappointed in the end.

depending on your decision, but before you take part in the project isn't it based on the results of your own research? of course you already understand that. but if the project you are participating in adds a longer duration, you need to reconsider about the project and also about further options. My advice remains rather than jumping on projects that are not necessarily clear and may be more risky.

I really do not like to be in such situation whereby promoting a bounty for too long and along the process another good bounty might show up and you will lose out unless the extended bounty project become very successful

It depends, if you start the bounty campaign because you just feel like giving a try them it means you are not so sure of the project but if the project is a very good one its better not to stop, many hunters will walk away for sure and this will open door for more stakes

Yes, I have promoted but it's still struggling in the market, it's ten weeks of promotion and they've added 5 more weeks, I cannot get out since they will not count all my previous week's work, I need to finish the whole campaign to get to the list of distribution.
There's no guaranty that the project will be successful even if they added more weeks since they can always change the rules at their discretion, you are a hostage here.

as long as I here rarely get good results from ico projects that add to the project duration to 2-3 months, most of the projects end in fraud. but I don't know about the project you are referring to, if the project has a quality product or the team that is responsible may be able to give good results, but it is much better if you reconsider the project.
