Maybe the race in Turkey was not the best one compared to the one in last season, but I still enjoyed some competition between drivers like Perez and Hamilton for example. Perez is really good at defending and keeping his position as long as he doesn't have any problem with his car. Even he had a disadvantage on the start straight, he still maintained his place despite Hamilton's attack. It was an unfortunate race for Hamilton and a good one for Verstappen as he got ahead in the driver standings by 6 points. Congrats to Bottas on his huge win! It was a deserved one indeed.

There is less than one hour left for the big race. Hamilton will have a really tough job to do in this race as he is going to start at the eleventh position. He did his best by ending the qualifying session as the leader. Bottas is going to start from the pole but I think that Verstappen will take the lead from Bottas in a short time. Hamilton must climb as many places as possible not to be left too much behind in the driver standings. I think that Verstappen will win the race.

Bottas had a very good start and is doing a very good job at the front, Tsunoda held Hamilton off for a few laps and cost Hamilton a lot of time and is currently 6th, but the Ferrari is also very fast and I think Ferrari will be on the podium.

To be honest, I was really surprised by the decision of the team to change the tires of Seb during the race. Unfortunately, the risk did not pay off as it costed him as the rain continued to pour. As for Hamilton, the decision of the team also costed him some points which led to Verstappen to be at the top.

Congratulations for Bottas for his clean race! I'll surely miss him once he transfers to Alfra Romeo since he has this consistent driving as it catches everyone off-guard. Like I literally see him as the silent but deadly racer. But again, p2 and p3 both for Redbull and they got the bacon for this Turkish Grand Prix.

Red Bulls are the ones benefiting from this GP. I don't know the ranking right now, but they surely got a lot of points compared to Mercedes as Hamilton, unfortunately, placed 5th. Verstappen has been very consistent for Red Bull so far but if Perez can be a little bit more consistent, that would help them a lot. But so far, I'm liking the Red Bull and Mercedes rivalry.

More was not inside for Verstappen, RedBull got the best possible out of the weekend it was this weekend no more inside, the Mercedes were simply faster on this course than the RedBull. Think even without the pit stop Hamilton might have been 4th, so one position better than in the final result.

If I have not miscalculated, this weekend Mercedes has again made up a few points in the constructors rating, it could also be exciting. If RedBull wants to win this classification, Perez must become even more consistent.

This track was somewhat a favorable track for Mercedes and that was clearly visible on the race day. Bottas was so far ahead of the rest of the racers and if Hamilton didn't get the wrong calls from the strategists, he would be placed higher as you said. The clash of Mercedes and Red Bull is getting interesting. Let's see who will stay on top till the last parts of the year.

It was a good race because anything could have happened at any time and anyone from P1 to P7 could have won that race. What was strange is that we did not have a single abandon or safety car so we stayed on the edge that it could happen anytime but it didn't.

Personally, I feel bad for Lewis as he did not have a single easy race this year and he is fighting with all his powers in order to keep his car in front of Max but this time the strategist made a wrong call by making him pit with 8 laps to go.

That is true, there was a tough competition among the first 5 or 6 racers. If you see the final result, Max finished with a +14.5s, and the time difference between the 3rd and the 6th player is only 10 seconds which indicates that it was a pretty competitive match. But I am happy that Bottas has won it, I was so long waiting for him to win a race. The call from the strategist team cost Hamilton a lot. He placed 5th and also lost the lead of the F1 Championship to Verstappen. Verstappen currently has 262.5 points and Hamilton has 256.5.

A breathtaking race in every sense of the word, everyone didn't know what to do!!
Bottas, congratulations, great race and Red Bull didn't dream of such a result, almost more than expected!!
Ferrari is fast, a mistake stopped with Sainz, and I think that the safe exit was the reason for the increase the of delay in pit, and he could have finished in front of Norris.
As for Leclerc and Hamilton, the two were trying to risk the end of the race with the same tires, but after we saw Ocon's times, he was 3 seconds slower than everyone else I think they were getting to the runners behind them. and I noticed the speed of Leclerc and Hamilton was very slow on the first exit from the podium, so they suffered greatly, the irony is that Perez was closer to Leclerc and they exceeded the time of his suffering, but Gasly was far from Hamilton until the tires entered the right temperature, everyone moved away.
Of course, I don't want to forget that Leclerc made a big mistake when he was in the lead and went off the track, which reduced the difference between Beno and Bottas to 6 seconds after he had an advantage of about 12 seconds after Bottas entered the pit stop.
McLaren was far away, and the war with Ferrari continues. Gasly is a great result ,Occon too.
Hamilton is the loser in this battle against Verstappen.

Looks like a start on intermediate tyres today, but expect it to dry out and go to slicks from the middle of the race. It would be interesting if it would rain again and the strategies would be mixed up.

Taking the practice rounds and the qualifying session into account, it seems like Mercedes drivers will be flying in the Turkish GP tomorrow. Maybe Hamilton got a ten-place grid penalty but his performance was just fascinating for all of us. He broke the fastest lap record of this track many times and finished at the first place by a really decent gap. J. P. Montoya was holding the time record on this track before. Techically, he is still holding it as Hamilton didn't break this record in a race. But he might do so in the race too. I wonder if Verstappen will manage to win here this time while Hamilton is trying to go as up as possible.
It's looking to be not a RedBull win here, Max seems to be struggling a bit on this track his car seems not balanced enough so I expect from Hamilton to catch up with Verstappen this time and the problem will be if they go wheel to wheel this time.
Verstappen wouldn't yield in this race because the gap will be higher for him an it could be finishing as a winner in the race after not enough for him to to get back as leader in Championship points.
Ferrari was good on this track also, leclerc was just 1tenth of a second behind Verstappen, also Sainz knocked Ricciardo of reaching Q2 and did an amazing job pulling his friend in Q2 to make it to Q3 so in this race I think they are going to get more points then Maclaren despite Sainz to be starting from the back of the grid.

Now about the topic at hand: F1 practice runs 1 & 2 in Turkey

Looks like Lewis Hamilton took both earlier on today. First from Max Verstappen in the first and then fending off LeClerc in the second.

Practice 3 is in 13 1/2 hours from now then qualification on Saturday.
Just hope Red Bull doesn't have anymore pit problems going into the race come Sunday.
I guess that was precisely what I would have expected if Lewis did not had an engine change and a 10 place penalty. Am I missing something? Didn't Lewis get a penalty for 10 places? How the hell did Lewis managed to be the best odds when he will not be starting in the top 10 of the race? I get that Lewis is the type of guy who could start 11th or whatever and end up winning, hell Max almost did that when he started 20th and finished 2nd, if Lewis stayed out then Max would have win that.

However I am not sure if that just deserves to be the top odds, he definitely did not deserve top odds when there is a penalty. Is the penalty something I misremember? Did he not get anything? Is it for the next race? Will he be at the top this race with pole position or something? If I am wrong then I am sorry, but I feel like he did get a penalty for ICE change on his engine, which is a weird situation to be honest, if he got ICE change penalty AND still got the best odds.

^ What I'm trying to say is, will some people not watching or saying something against the Qatar govt change anything? I don't think so.
The race will be held anyways, They don't give a shit about what we say as outsiders right? So, that's why I'm saying that if we are talking about F1, just talk and criticize F1. It's better to not bring the dirty politics over here. It only wastes others' time and also ruins the environment.

Every country has its own problems and we alone cannot do shit about that. What about the stuff going on in North Korea? Or what about the USA doing things in the Middle East? If we were to judge the politics, there would be a never-ending list out there. So how about we skip the other stuff and focus on the racing itself? Maybe talk about the goods and bad over the tracks and weather conditions and so on?
Maybe you are from Qatar, or maybe you are not, but the fact is that the examples you have given could not be anything further related to the truth. First of all, NK is horrible and it is a shithole and we do not have any F1 racing there, so how do you think it was even related to the topic? Like why would we even discuss NK in an F1 topic if there is nothing related to it?

Secondly USA could be one of the worst nations in the world with how they keep attacking everyone and even destroying themselves within, yet at least it is free, a horrible yet free place, mismanaged and filled with idiots but at least it is free. Do you see the difference? Qatar literally had 6k+ people dead just because they wanted the world cup there, is that clear enough reason for you to boycott a race?

If not then go ahead and watch it, it is not a problem for me, but do not judge the people who feel like Qatar is a horrible nation and should have not be given a track place, they are expressing their views, disagree with them and move on.

Max had a very very horrible start last year, that greenlight release was one of the worst I have ever seen from him but I understand, because even though he is a great racer and a brave one, the experience is still coming in and he had no idea how to race in a very slippery smooth track.
I believe he will be doing a lot better this year, there will probably not be the same problems and Max is just a genius when it comes to challenging others to crash into him, in a rainy track with slippage problems others will be a lot more careful than Max will be which will give him either a crash if anyone takes up the offer like Lewis does, or just a very nice race for him where everyone is afraid of crashing and he wouldn't be.

I love how brave and fearless Max is on the tracks and the rain came in handy for him in the very recent race where he started last grid for the new engine penalty and the rain came just before the race was about to end and that helped Max and Hamilton a huge ton and both of them finished 2nd and 1st respectively. Hoping that Max will do good in the upcoming races and so on.

If I can remember correctly they want to use synthetic fuel.
They are studying it and producing it in some parts of the world but it already seems a dead way to go.

The near future is electric all the big manufacturers are going in this direction.

Electric cars also could be a viable option considering the fact that many manufacturers already are accustomed to making electric cars. But why aren't they already implementing the electric car idea right now? I mean it is proved to be more efficient than fuel powered cars right? Also almost no harm to the environment? Or am I missing something?
I apologize for the small offtopic.  🙏
As for electric vehicles, for some reason everyone thinks that they are much more environmentally friendly than conventional cars.  But they forget that filling batteries is extremely environmentally hazardous.  Both in production and disposal.  And the environmental friendliness of electric vehicles, I think, is nothing more than a publicity stunt for electricity producers in competition with global producers of conventional fuels.  And imagine what will happen with the massive use of electric vehicles - any road transport accident with an electrolyte spill is a small environmental disaster.
But, I apologize,

I'm also looking forward to the race in Turkey with interest and it's also very interesting what the track will be in terms of how wet it will be Huh  Or maybe it won't Huh
