Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff said that they need to calibrate Russell in order to not create what happened with Rosberg and Hamilton in the previous years. I feel like they calibrate with Russell or not, that doesn't matter, this will happen again. This is what usually happens when you have two-star players in your team. This is a subconscious effect that Russell will want to out-perform Hamilton at some point in his Mercedes career and if he's not able to do that, he might leave one day as Bottas did.
I hope in no case that there will be a stable order next year, Russell is not a water carrier, and once he has the car under control he will not give Hamilton any more. Anyway my wishful thinking, the fight between Hamilton and Rosberg was the only interesting thing at that time. I personally hope that next year there will be a three or even four-way duel for the title between Verstappen, Hamilton, Russell and a Ferrari.

The rivalry between Hamilton and Russell will be an interesting one next year. We all know that Russell is capable of doing very well with Mercedes next year. But his only drawback would be Hamilton-his teammate. So I'm guessing it is only a matter of time before the two get on in a clash between themselves. Maybe a better rivalry than Rosberg and Hamilton? Very excited about this one.

Hamilton has likely only one more year in Mercedes and probably in F1.
Russel will be the new Mercedes's top driver in the next future.
I wish you're right. But I fear that this won't happen this soon. Hamilton likes to have some drama around him, this makes the newspapers write about him, show his picture, show his sponsors...
There are some 5 (maybe more) drivers now in F1, some are even my favorites, which should - sooner or later - make way to newer, younger ones. I expect Formula 2 and Formula E has quite a number of drivers that could fill those spots in the blink of an eye.
Hamilton already has a contract until 2023, which means that he will finish this season plus 2 more seasons after that. After which depends on how the next two seasons go. We all know that there will be a financial cap to the teams which will be a bit of a challenge for teams like Mercedes which spends more than bottom few teams combined, and then we have Hamilton who uses so much of that cap as well, expensive salaries for drivers will be biggest problem after cap.
As if that wasn't enough, we are going with brand new car design as well, which will make it harder for drivers to adjust to it as well, I do not expect clear Hamilton or Verstappen domination at the start of next season, which means that if Hamilton at his age doesn't get used to the car quickly, can't get as many points as we used to him getting, and still spends too much of the cap Mercedes has, then he may retire after 2023 reasonably.

Hamilton will try his best to make the best usage of the two years he has left in his contract. I'm not sure if the drivers in big organizations like Mercedes will accept a pay cut if the salary cap is implemented. And adapting to new cars will also be a new challenge to see, not to mention an interesting one. Let's see how the drivers adapt to the new cars. But Hamilton's driving skills will always be a plus point for him.

yeah when Russel starts gets constant podiums especially finishing ahead of Hamilton for a while then the powers could shift for him.
Qualifiers is also going to be very important to him if he manages to beat Lewis then it will be a sign for Toto that Russel is ready to be their number1 driver.
But still if Toto convinces Russel to back up for moments when he needed and guarantees for him that he is going to be the main man the year after then I think that Russel can do it.

If Russell and Hamilton can get along well enough, I don't think that would be a big problem. Because in these types of sport, team chemistry is very important and the players know it well. Although it was a different situation in the case of Bottas but I think that Russell will cope well with Hamilton. Although only time will tell what this duo will be like so fingers crossed for this season.

I recommend everyone to go and watch Schumacher documentary on Netflix as there are some internal stories that we never heard of. Also , Mick says that his father never woke up Sad and that is the segment when I lost it and tears dropped. I know how it's like to don't have your Father near you when you need him most so yea ...he not only needs advice from him but he also needs him as his father. I never was a Schumacher fan but I do hope Mick will become a legend as his father.
Also it's clearly that this was just a short documentary because his glory era from ferrari was displaced only a few minutes so I think there might be a Rush 2 or 3 reserved for that era since 2000-2006.

Both the producer and the director of this documentary worked on the documentary on the Tennis legend Boris Becker. I haven't seen the film yet, but I'm guessing it's gonna be a good one. I saw some reviews on the internet and they were very good and I'm really tempted to see the film. Let's see how it turns out to be.

The next race is going to be the Russian GP and it is next weekend. In the last race in Monza, I was really shocked to see the accident between Verstappen and Hamilton. Actually, it was more than an accident. Verstappen pushed his luck too much and it caused both of them to be out of the race. If Verstappen was more patient on that corner, maybe nothing was going to happen and they were both going to end the race successfully.

I feel like that was forced by Verstappen or maybe his ego got the better of him. He should have braked earlier. If he had done that earlier, they haven't crashed, and maybe one of them could've won. But it's also fun to watch some dramatic plays like players crashing - it keeps the hype alive and interesting to watch.

McLaren just released their vlog the day of the Italian grand prix. If you have 27.14 minutes to spare in your day, it's a good way to waste it. Wink

They did look to be confident in them taking a top spot but I doubt they had foreseen taking two off the top.

The "unclear" teams for the next seasons start to get confirmed. After Valtteri and George, now also Seb got confirmed for next year at Aston Martin. It's not a huge news, but there was an incipient drama there, some started thinking that Seb will not be kept there for 2022.

A lot of drama involving Aston Martin lately and the fact that Seb is in the middle of that discussion is bad for him and if Aston Martin will not keep him , I think it's end of the road for Vettel in F1. Who would take him ? Alpine ? highly doubt it. RedBull again ? Perez just signed for another year.

Regarding the 3points penalty for Max, I think it's fair maybe he will re-watch that replay to see how dangerous is his driving style.

Following Vettel's contract extension, there is now only one vacant cockpit in Formula 1 for 2022, and the second cockpit in the Alfa Romeo could apparently go to a young Chinese from the Formula 2 Guanyu Zhou?

Yeah boltz, him landing on top of another car is not something to be taken lightly. And if an aggressive style of driving is to blame then maybe he has to take those corners with a bit more care so not to take out another driver and himself in the process next time.
Alot of shuffling in the teams with who their drivers will be. It certainly will be interesting when these transfers get done to see who is with who in the end.

Well, I think that these kinds of highlight play and drama keep the hype alive. For example, if I see the same dull and dull gameplay everyday, I'd get bored to be honest. And I mainly blame Max for the clash over Hamilton. Hamilton was getting out of the pit and Max was coming straight to him. On the next corner, they were alongside each other and Max braked late which led him crashing with Hamilton Lewis. If he had braked earlier, this would have never happened. Pretty unfortunate for him as he got a penalty of 3 grid and maybe a penalty of 2 points.
I agree, whenever my favorite driver is in a crash that adds a lot more fun to it. I like Lando Norris the most, but I rather see Mazepin to see Lewis keep winning, it becomes so boring, when he first won I was very happy and for a while longer as well but for the past 2-3 seasons it is like "yeah Lewis won, what is new?" and made it boring honestly. Same with Bundesliga Bayern, same with Serie A Juventus until last year, or PSG with Ligue 1 until last season.

I do not have anything else against Lewis, if he changes teams, goes to another team and wins again? Wow that would be so freaking awesome, I would love to watch that as well. It is just that Mercedes and Lewis keeps winning all the time and this makes it boring, it should be race, not "let's see who becomes second". So, whenever Max attacks and wins, that makes it more interesting, quite honestly I do not like Max personally neither, dude looks too aggressive and snob but at least it is definitely see a competition then just a hopeless track.
