Highlights for the F1 Practice 1 and 2

F1 Practice 1

There are many racers that hit the wall but Alexander Albon has suffered the most damage in his machine even Max Verstappen and Sergio Peres is surely getting the pace slowly but surely for this Monaco GP, Logan Sargeant also got some issues driving in this Circuit and because of some changes this is a learning experience for the rookies and also for the veterans driving at the Circuit de Monaco, Carlos Sainz has the best time gaining the 1st position, Fernando Alonso finish in the 2nd spot while the 7 time champion Lewis Hamilton had the 3rd position,

F1 Practice 2

Just like in P1, P2 seems the same for most F1 teams,s and the problem of bumping to corners was really inevitable even though Carlos Sainz got a great run on P1, P2 he isn't lucky and almost bump into his teammate Charles Leclerc while Alexander Albon is having a great time even though what happened to his car on Practice 1 of the Monaco GP, well Max Verstappen have gotten the fastest for this Practice session, while the 2 Ferrari have finished after him Charles Leclerc 2nd and Carlos Sainz 3rd,

It may happen this week.
I  Monaco we have a very competitive Ferrari due the high traction on low speed turns.
If one between Sainz and Crarls will do the pole then he may have the only opportunity of the season to beat RBR.

A very slim cha che of rain too on Sunday

I will cheer for Sainz tomorrow and I do hope he will put up a great lap because Max and his RedBull seems to have little issues here and there on the track. Instead , Ferrari is doing surprisingly good and it's not Charles this time because he is the pole of the last 3 years.

Yes, I have seen it too, for sure if Bianca Bustamante won this F1 Academy race she will be an instant celebrity knowing the culture of Filipinos when it comes to well-known personnel and this time a female racer it could be a big hit in the country for sure well seeing the F1 race don't have a Filipino or a Filipina racer could be a big hit and F1 racing will be also well-known to the country,

Well even if she doesn't become a champion in the F1 Academy after this season's race when she returns to the Philippines for sure she will become an instant celebrity and on her winning round 2 Race 2 on Valencia the President of the Philippines congratulated her well she is going to be well-known for sure and I think there isn't enough fans for the F1 race in the Philippines and the is kind of thing would surely skyrocket the popularity of F1`in the Country for sure,

Prema Racing is in the 2nd position for the F1 Academy and I think it is only the beginning of the event if Chloe Chong wouldn't likely get a higher position then Prema Racing will still be at the bottom for me I think teamwork is likely needed in this situation in the last race in Barcelona Chloe Chong and Bianca Bustamante have a showdown team against Team and right now the formidable racer alone is Marta García but the other are just there just to help her but Bianca Bustamante had a great run for sure getting that win on the Race 2 of Valencia,

Well because of Marta Garcia the Prema racing team is having their edge over the F1 Academy, but I think Chong and Bustamante will need to get their games higher in the next round, last race they have a bump on each other, and here is the video recap for all the events that have happened in the F1 Academy so far and some inside reports on what is happening inside before the race, here are the VIDEO

I don't really understand Spanish but the statistic could be accurate, well, maybe I might have understood a bit, well if we are talking about the whole F1 Academy I am really happy that we have this kind of race where only women are competing but for me, I really want to see them in the spectacular race of Main F1 but surely it could be too early for them to have that opportunity,

For sure they are really learning many things at the Academy, and I think this is a good deal for them, and you are right I agree with you there are also good woman driver than men well even better that is,

Agree with everything you have said inregards to these statements and charts to show as statistics to backup those facts in the F1 industry.
It all comes down to the money at times and not the talent. Unfortunately @jakelyson & @owengtam09
Even Steve and I had a conversation about this way back when I started this thread and he even mentioned to me, the owners of those teams in the F1 who are funding them place their sons as drivers on those teams.
Do they have the talent or the skill to be on those teams?
Hell no, it because they are the offspring of those who put money to build those teams.
It is simple as that and nothing will ever change this fact for the F1 money machine.

Watched round 2 yesterday of the F1 Academy and sort of enjoyed it but noticed the differences.
Such as their cars are smaller atleast they look like it while on the track. So they are like kart racers.
Also in the academy, once their car is damaged beyond repair they are out of the rest of the competition, since these races are done in succession all in the same day. Their budget would be alot less so repairing the cars to continue competing would be null.
Noticed Garica was the leader once round 2 ended on the standings.
They also made the introduction of the show just like the genuine F1 with the same music and everything.
Nice touch.
They're are using same car that is used in all F4 Regional championship. Between 2019 and 2022 there was W-Series and they used F3 car. W-Series didn't survived, so, I guess using chepaer and more simple F4 car is one of cost saving measuers.
For me fact that F1 Academy don't have live broadcast and just provide 15 highlights from races says a lot. It's just not serious. In 2023 even karting race between kids have live broadcasts.
Now there is no women who would be close to F1 and I don't see situation changing soon. These who would be good enough would race in F3 and F2, not separate series just for women. There was few competing there, but I can't remember someone who had really good results. Happy if I will be wrong, but now it looks that development driver is max what women can reach now in F1.
Watched that one race which took place in Valencia and seen today they were in Austria and the last one was Barcelona. So I only watched the one race for the women's F1 in Spain.
But now we have Monaco so back to business!

You can see Max Verstappen honing his skills while not on the track via virtual reality in a simulation racing setup:

Just a couple of hours ago I watched Lando Norris from McLaren playing F1 23 from EA Sports which hasn't been released yet as himself in the game! Grin

Yup! I have noticed it aswell but sure enough, it can still race so I ignored it completely, even though with those machines it was one awesome race in my opinion, it really just strikes me to share it here because why not it is still related to F1 and there is a Filipina driver so yeah support for our very own Racer and Bianca Bustamante could be the 1st Filipina F1 racers if she can join the main F1 race,

It is an interesting point and one that receives few comments, it is or are unicorns, so to speak, the women in F1, therefore, if there is a sport where this situation occurs in such low percentages, it is Formula 1, it is not the The only example, there are several sports in this situation, but at the top of those that are reflected in percentages of one figure, definitely Formula 1, is there in the top 10.

Let's start by saying that there is not in a certain way a defined meritocracy in how men reach the highest category of motorsport, that is, it is not as simple as being champion of a certain lower category ensures your position in F1.

Sometimes it's that, talent and a lot of money, sometimes just the $$$. So that tells you how difficult it can be for a woman to get into F1, because talent has existed and with all due respect many women have been better drivers than some man I have seen in Formula 1, and I see the top category  from those time when the cigarette brand was the biggest sponsor. Oh shit!

So for now the closest thing we have to getting to F1 is Shakira, Wink , if she secures her pole position with Lewis, well excuse the OT, but it can be a little bit novella or soup, so based on what has been mentioned and that the Monaco Grand Prix is coming, let's leave a few exact data and not from old memories in memory, some things from the princesses of Formula 1:

It is worth noting before that according to the source that I left abajo, 10 women have driven a car, but only 5 have managed to compete in a formal F1 race. In the same way, since there are only 20 positions, the application ratio is 7 to 1. At least in Spain, according to data from the RFEDA, in charge of issuing licenses to pilots, the percentage was 87.5% men to 12.5% women.

Thank you for pointing these new features out on the tires for all teams to use those new Pirelli's out on the track if necessary.
According to The Race on their newest video off their well respected youtube channel, they had mentioned about the warming of the tyres for Red Bull to keep their 1 & 2 consecutive winning streaks alive this race weekend in Casino de Monaco.
Why Red Bull's F1 2023 winning streak is at risk in Monaco

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkWnM0VFsYE

These new tires may likely be a help or a downfall for Red Bull RB19, but that is if they used the tires for such Trivial question for the other teams if they can likely be near the caliber for Red Bull in Monaco we will surely see it on Practice and Qualifyer if they can get close to the dominance of Red Bull,

But a likely near F1 team that could finish off Red Bull's dominance is Aston Martin, Mercedes, and Ferrari will be likely competitors that can dethrone Red Bull for sure,

It is my 1st time seeing it aswell, and I think it is glorious seeing that there is 1 Filipina driver on the Prema Racing Team and she is Bianca Bustamante and right now she had a good position in the standings where she is in the 7th position, while her teammates Chloe Chong 14th in the standing while Marta García is in the lead of the standings, while Team Prema Racing is on the 2nd position, it is my first time seeing it aswell but it is good that there are this all girls racing that we can watch aswell,

I think I have seen your post back then, about a female F1 racer, but I really don't remember the name of the female racer, but as the F1 Academy Progresses I think we could see another female F1 racer in no time

Well in this F1 Academy, I have noticed that they are using an F1 that is small in size compared to Kart Racers I really think the budget that has for the F1 Academy is just limited because this might be just a 1-time event test female racers until they can drive a real F1 machine,

New form of tyres from Pirelli which were going to be veiled at Enzo e Dino Ferrari for the Autodromo during the rainy weather.
According to the weather forecast they will allow the teams to try them out on the Circuit de Monaco streets instead.
Regarding those new tires, I think this will be a new addition to the set of tires that every team had and this is good on a wet road to in sure the grip of the tires on corners, this could be a new change of feel for most drivers because some will surely get used to it quickly or some will be having a difficult time using it, the tire manufacturer has developed a new Cinturato Blue full wet tire which does not require tire blankets, here are the Link

There has been women who had raced against the men professionally before.
One that comes to mind is Danica Patrick. But that was in American open-wheel car racing, nascar & indy car racing.
She's the only women announcer on the panel for nbc sports who has raced professionally and can bring her point of view for the F1 every race week.

Thanks for posting about the F1 Academy as it did look like an interesting affair in Barcelona.
I meant for F1, specifically.

I know about Danica, I guess everyone does because the media really put her up. Does anybody know if F1 academy ever promotes their female drivers and if the rules actually allow that?

Technically, car is the same, women can drive fast too from my personal experience they drive the riskiest on the road lol

It was a long week that we don't have any F1 races and many are starting to find some other racing stuff that can fill the gap of longing for it I think the Team Redline Sim racing is a great coping mechanism if we are on hiatus with the F1 race but surely there is no certain replacement for the actual F1 Race so let's go Monaco GP this is it I guess there is no stopping this now,

Well, I got the news that Honda and Aston Martin will get together as Partnership but it will be in the year 2026, and Ferrari and Aston Martin is looking to cut the Red Bull winning streak this Monaco GP can they take it or it could be a failed attempt again,

Yes, that is exactly why we shouldn't be discussing about or posting any links about a race until we get closer to the start day such as 5-6 days before so we know it will actually begin for it's scheduled timeframe according to the FIA.
If Monaco GP doesn't end up happening then this means there will only be 21 races to be done within the season unless they can come up with a solution.

Copy that, but surely many even me didn't expect that storm that hit Imola, and many here are sure excited for another race to start, and it was really unexpected but yeah will surely look for the event 1st before engaging any further about it, anyway Monaco GP is this weekend so we better get ready about it, and will look for further information about it later,

Man I can never understand anyone watching simulated racing or football or whatever haha. It's not physical exertion (unless you play those marathon 24-hour video game sessions) and mostly just luck and who has the better controller or who has more experience with the controls.

Anyway, enough posting about it I get so bored honestly Tongue

My question is in the Academy teams a lot of girls racing, I wonder why they don't get promoted to senior F1 racing. Is it for men only?

We surely have different tastes when it comes to liking and I think you are the type to get easily bored at sports games by just watching them, am I right? Because if that is the case then we are alike, the problem is I get bored watching NBA, Football, or Soccer games but F1 Simulation games hit me differently, and actually want a Simulation machine that can surely move whenever there is a bump in the gutter, well it will surely be added to my wish list, along with the Gel blaster that I want,

Well, For me, Sim Racing is the closes thing there is to F1 as a game, and most likely it is safe than the real deal but anyway, as I am saying we all have different likes and don't like so respect your likes and dislike brother, anyway just sharing that Sim racing because of Max Verstappen event where the audience got to donate to the Fundraised that happen for the Imola region incident

in F1 history there is a girl that has competed in the F1 race alongside the other men driver competitors, well I think the F1 academy is a way to bring in talented female racers to be racing alongside the other F1 racers, I don't know if they planning to combine all female racers or maybe if the winner of this race would get a chance to be competing with the actual F1 race, I don't know still searching for it actually,

It was a great virtual race that you can surely watch on their Twitch channel and the Real Racers Never Quits result was

Race 1: Formula 3 - Imola - Winner - Max Verstappen
Race 2: Mazda MX5 - Imola - Winnner - Max Verstappen
Race 3: Formula Ford - Imola - Winner - Max Verstappen
Race 4: Toyota GR86 - Imola - Winner - Diogo Pinto

It was really a sure win for Max Verstappen and I think he just gave out on the last race when Toyota GR86 was on Diogo Pinto won that 1 race, and even though he didn't race that one, 3 races win he was still the winner, Oh I wish I could join them in one of their Sim Races if I could make a set up my own simulation racing at home, but it was really too expensive that is why,

Actually looking at F1 news on Youtube but I come across the  F1 Academy Race Highlights in Barcelona 2023 actually it was a great watch and a fast Lap and an all-girls race and I was amazed that there are a Filipina Driver with them and it was Bianca Bustamante and I never know that just like F1 there are site and Calendar for the racers and here are the results
