Nothing will happen.
I think they think hard about this, there are many fake, scam ICO about cryptocurrency and they just want to protect their customer.

true that. lot of sick ICOs are putting all cryptocurrency reputation to the dirt. I hope that will force people to think hard and to rise against scam projects.

This may not be a great deal for ICO and Bitcoin. The reason why is, there are still many mediums for ICOs and Bitcoin to help them promote it. One great example is Twitter over millions of users in it.

See daily we are seeing many fake project launching, so this may cause reduce fake companies. Many ICO listing website is checking the company background details for listing there. So, i think it is always a good sign for the crypto industry.

No,Facebook and Instagram do not banned advertising Bitcoin and ICO. But occasionally for some objectionable advertisements of ICO companies,Post deleted by facebook. If the advertisement is given correctly, then this will not be a problem.

It is true, every advertisement builds that can be posted on facebook and instragam.

For me, facebook just avoid phrases with so promising words so people will be deceived that in reality though possible is so least to happen. That make it some kind of misleading and fraud. However, such banning is not good to me.

I saw the news yesterday that facebook prohibits advertising cryptocurrency and ICO, ads make profits for them but I dont know for sure if the direct CEO who says then and I will believe. So far I still not trust the news well may just be an issue that can make stock prices to rise.

And like Facebook wanted to release their cryptocurrency, but probably after the first to announce the establishment of their own,Zuckerberg desire diminished and he decided this way to Express his contentment.
This is also what's on my mind but there's no way if its only his decision to ban all advertisement of cryptocurrencies. He will make tons of money for letting those crap ICO's advertise to his network but he's smart enough that he had to remove those advertisement that are only getting that much attention in his social media networks. Anyone know on when it will be implemented? I opened my facebook acccount and there are still some ICO paid ads that are popping to my news feed.

It's only about it.

The company Facebook has updated the rules for placing materials, now it is forbidden to advertise crypto-currencies and ICO on the expanses of the service. This prohibition applies to Instagram as well.

The official message of the company says that now no advertiser, including even legal companies, will be able to advertise Bitcoins and other crypto-currencies, as well as offers to purchase tokens within ICO or binary options.

All of the above Facebook calls financial products and services that mislead users. Facebook specialists gave examples of such advertising:

"Start trading binary options right now and get a 10-year trade guarantee without risk."
"Click here to learn more about the risk-free crypto currency, which allows you to make instant transfers around the world."
"The new ICO! Buy tokens at a 15% discount right now! "
"Use your retirement savings to invest in Bitcoin."
In the message of the director of product management in Facebook, Rob Leuven said about the reason for imposing a ban on such advertising: "We want users to be able to learn about new products and services from advertising on Facebook, without fear of fraud or deception. Nevertheless, there are many unscrupulous companies advertising binary options, ICO and crypto-currencies. "

They should also ban any bank ads too. Remember 2008 they biggest theft in history, trillions of dollar gone dozens of millions of people kicked to poverty... It was made by banks not crypto currencies...

It doesn't sound like a general ban of advertising cryptocurrencies and ICO. The sentences mentioned by Facebook are typical ads to lead users to fraud services and losing money. It is a good step to prevent facebook users to trap into cheating services. Anyway, many thanks for sharing.

At the price of crypto currency it will not exactly affect, I think it's bad for Facebook itself. What else do you do on Facebook, if not ICO advertise ...)

This is unreasonable, Facebook has violated the privacy of each individual, Each person has the right to post their favorite. I think Facebook does that to get a lot of attention because maybe this year Facebook will release a separate ICO named Facebook

This does not mean that you as a person cannot write posts about ICOs or Bitcoins. The only meaning here is that the annoying crypto ads popping up here and there in the advertisement arias will be replaced with other type of bull# like a "Meet singles in your area" or "Tired of waxing?" etc.
This will not have big impact in the cryptoworld, at least from my perspective.

I still haven't checked or think of what are the major disadvantages of this move but I can only see that it could affect Facebook campaigns. But I don't think that it will affect the coins prices. Nothing really detrimental could occur I think.
