Why Facebook has to do it?  if it will come true  facebook loose  a lot of followers  and all comunity  will move to another  platform
it is non profitable for FB

Its temporary and they are looking for new ways to get rid of scam projects, but its unclear why they banned bitcoin.it may not be groundless that they are going to remove ICO ads because they dont have any sources to detect which projects are scam or good.I remember one of the crypto startuper had earned millions of dollars and after this they just dissapeared with swearing and mocking,as i remember it was Prodeum ICO.So the reason why i told you guys this story is that people need preventive measures because some of them are not as good in this sphere as they think

I think smart bounty hunters will do the campaign but will put the information correct. You can find on threads how to follow correct facebook and twitter campaign without using tags or themes with which you'll be banned. But I think Zuckerberg will lost a lot of traffic because of this move and , for sure, money. Or may be he's waiting for his own "tokens" or FacebookCoin to create   Wink

No, it's a great loss for the project ICO itself.
Their promotion will decrease, and also will affect developers, managers, and bounty hunters.
I hope this new rule from facebook will be cancel later.
Inverting the decision would be somehow hard to believe since they do already make such changes then they would really mean it but for now as of this writing seems like this prohibition isnt still effective since ive been seeing this kind of ads on facebook showing ICO post which i do have on my mind why they are still here if they do announce that they would completely ban it or prohibit it.

Subject is misleading. I thought the social media campaigns will be stopped lol. Anyways, it is the platform's prerogative, in this case, Facebook. We cant even deny that a lot of ICOs aren't legit.

Scams are major problem for everyone and no one likes to promote scams.
I think that Facebook need to play smarter with this one.
Crypto is the future and it's not good to ignore it. Not even for Facebook.

I have not seen an official statement from Facebook that it prohibits advertising crypto. I think that soon this news may be refuted. In addition I still see a lot of reposts every day with crypto ads from members at facebook.

I think it is very stupid of Zuckerberg to do a blanket ban on crypto icos, they should be vetted but not banned. When Facebook was a new type of technology, he wanted everyone to support his company but now he is a Billionaire he is turning his back on blockchain technology and for me this is a very selfish thing to do. This means he just wants to dominate the market and does not truly believe in innovation but only to self dominate and rule this space. I think he is just a shrewd and ruthless business man to be quite frank who does not want others to prosper, but he just wants to prosper off of others.

Well it must be due to the negative feedback and comments that lots of FB users left after viewing the ad. Facebook is very strict of the type of ads that the want to be displayed on their platform thus with the general bear market in crypto and all the FUD going around I am not surprised.

I hope not. Facebook must not ban all ICOs and other advertisement related to cryptocurrency. Facebook should come up with a policy or regulation with stated requirements of those ICOs who want to advertise in Facebook to avoid scammy ICOs. If that happened, then I will be supporting Facebook 100%. Facebook must also provide screening features to detect those illegal ICOs so that legit ICOs will not be affected by the ban.

I don't think about it they might changes their mind on a future day but as of now facebook has banned Bitcoin advertisements just days after CEO Mark Zuckerberg sung the cryptocurrency's praises. Facebook boss bans Bitcoin ads, despite singing praises of virtual currency earlier this year. But to think of it facebook is giving already enough restriction for everybody's safety. Due to lot of scammer in bitcoin they are very strict now on posting about crypto.

I strongly disagree that facebook prohibits people from sharing ICO or bitcoin links. What's the problem prohibiting people? Because Facebokk is a place to share. And we just promote not to invite people to invest.

It is true that a lot of ICOs are a scam, but there are some legit ICO projects too. Banning all is not a fair decision. I think Facebook authorities would reconsider their decision soon.

I wont agree with this kind of an idea. Facebook.is one of the biggest industry in social media which can be used to a campaign that investors will attract of it. But i really want to get lost all of the scams project that posted here because when investors are eager to invest heavily and they will see that it was a scam, for sure they lose a big amouny. So investors feel a bad thought when they see sometimes in social media where many have promoted it.
