As we have heard, Facebook is planning to launch its own coin. And we know that this site has so many people that use this to communicate, the fact that it has many users, the possibility of getting their coin famous is just an easy picky.

Could we also expect that facebook may have a feature where gambling (that uses crypto/ facebook coin) is allowed? What do you think?
That’s exciting because i have been playing facebook games and gamblings for long and now thy are goinh to lunch crypto base gambling by Facebook?looking forward fo this to become reality

I don't see why they would not unless they ban gambling outrightly or censor transactions.

Gambling shouldn't encouraged on the social media nor banned.  Advertisments should only be viewed by gamblers.
For how many years now theres alot of casino games in facebook so theres nothing wrong if they will extend this to crypto,so lets see what’s on the future for facebook coin

I also think like this, facebook don’t want to ruin their image and we know that many countries and religion are against gambling so Facebook will be on the safe side for sure. It will be a great service for facebook if they create their own coin and I hope it can help the market to pump.

This might be a thing for sure. They are a company, so the image is pretty important there.

However, let's remember that they can also adjust the services they offer per region, that's what most big international companies do, to try to personalize their service. So they can offer it in America and have different setups for the other places/continents.

I remember that i used to play poker there a lot with a cousin and with my brother, but it was just virtual currency. I don't remember if people was able to recharge fiat currency.
Moreover their vision and mission are clear to connect one person to another person throughout the world, not to make a kind of gambling on 1 social media site.

Mark can easily create gambling sites, of course not using Facebook as a platform.

There might be the possibility to implement such idea of gambling depending on its jurisdiction.
Maybe like if you are located in Las Vegas or Macao, they might open to this idea of gambling platform.
But knowing facebook for so many years, they always wanted to have this wholesome image so I don't totally up to the idea that they will venture in this industry.

Guys..
OP asking about the gambling feature powered by Facebook TechnologyTM, not about prohibited location or government regulations.  Wink
Back to topic, please.

OP, as I know Facebook has gambling engine game, not real gambling like we do usually. Cheesy
Maybe facebook coin will be implemented at these facebook game platform inside.
Its not out topic actually yet everything that do involves betting or real money even it is on the form of facebook coin would really be considered as gambling.
We know that each country do have an specific law towards it and if this thing would be available thru facebook then I doubt that country will surely block
FB service due to that violation.

Gambling on Facebook is too risky, because it is the most famous platform and is widely used throughout the world. the risk is that if there is a country that refuses, then tracing the offender will be very easy.

Gbam!! haven said that mate, in my country gambling is an offense; which the defaulter is liable for 12 years jail term or an option of file of 7000$. Facebook launching their gambling platform will not go well with many other countries like ours who are restricted to gambling. We all know Facebook to be widely use with personal data been stored, when the government find an offender and request his/her personal data Facebook will happily provide them with the data; to the detriment of the gambler.

i doubt they will integrate a gambling platform within fb.
they always want to stay clean as they dont want to ruin their business. though it is one of the social media platforms with huge number of followers, gambling is one area that i think they wont touch.
and real gamblers wont also be comfortable using their platform as their identity is at stake. so nope i dont think fb will be interested in the gambling side.

I do not see any possibility of Facebook accepting a gambling feature on their site when the idea of creating a coin becomes successful. Although I am very confident that Facebookcoin would really be a hit and I foresee it will make great waves. I also think aside making money, creating a medium of entertainment to users; Facebook would also put the government policy of countries into consideration. There a  countries that do no support any kind of gambling or anything related to it.

I don't know about that. Maybe Facebook wants to expand its business, and now they thought that gambling was a big business that can make them get a big profit too. If Facebook wants to allow gambling, then they need to make a deal with the government on every country because their member was spread on all countries.

But I think that in Facebook itself, there is a game called poker texas hold'em and I heard that many people are like to play that game. Besides that, I heard that they were already buying and selling the chip to another player because some of my friends telling me about that. But I never knew.

I think they would probably restrict the gambling to countries that accept gambling.  They are business people. They should understand not to offend the governments that allow facebook in their countries.

This will probably not a great idea for facebook to neglect their protocol in providing their service to people. Facebook is meant for communication and entertainment. Not for gamblers like us lol.

Facebook is a USA corporation but Facebook users are not only based in the USA. Well, it’s possible to go into gambling if they decide to, as they might not necessarily need any form of license from any government
Users are irrelevant in this matter. Since Facebook is a U.S. based public company, it needs to follow U.S. regulation. However, it can create a subsidiary company that focuses on an online gambling casino.

after all China has banned its citizen for a longtime from using Whatsapp chat and this has not stopped the growth of the application in any way..
WeChat is the main IM in China, read this https://www.messengerpeople.com/global-messenger-usage-statistics/

if 98 percent of their users are clamoring for coin gambling, i think they would be left with no choice than to approve
Even if 100% of the users demand gambling coin, the company still need to follow the regulation. Or they will be banned in the countries that forbid online gamble businesses (and gamble-related advertisements).

I believe the more they go forward with it the best will be for every Facebook external application and so does for Crypto world.
The more acceptance a wider range of customers will start using it as well for the gaming companies (facebook games especially) will be able to sell virtual goods using cryptocurrencies.

I suggest you to add the source of the information, not everyone are good on doing research.
You can use this link - https://www.coindesk.com/facebook-plans-to-launch-cryptocurrency-in-first-half-of-2019-nyt-report, if you wish.
Thank you for providing the link. I realized it’s a stable coin for messaging service and also they are much more concerned about maintaining a high profile. I don’t think Facebook will like to involve itself with gambling as there are still a number of people who do not consider gambling a reputable game.

Moreover, I think it is better we wait for the outcome and the success of the coin before having the thought of them diversifying into gambling, though i know this would completely be am impossible act.

Can't see Facebook creating their coin to be use for gambling. According to some speculations, their coin will be solely created for the payment of their services across board to their esteem customers. Facebook may choose to expand their services based on their coins but never think it will be use for gambling.
I also think like this, facebook don’t want to ruin their image and we know that many countries and religion are against gambling so Facebook will be on the safe side for sure. It will be a great service for facebook if they create their own coin and I hope it can help the market to pump.

If they do go throw to reach a specific certain point where there will be so much stability in providing such crypt. I'm surely to follow it.
It would not be only for Games, but for everything inside Facebook itself. Buying adds, buying stuff in games and everything else related with fiat.

Facebook have a wide variety of audience so for sure just in case they will do and adopt gambling inside there's a lots of gamblers and players that will
entertain such additions, there's both positive and negative side of it, they need to judge according to their benefits.
Some on facebook uses facebook live to conduct a gaming bet. But I think using a crypto as a coin will only add more controversy with the app. Many people dont understand cryptocurrency thats why I think its still a gamble.

Could we also expect that facebook may have a feature where gambling (that uses crypto/ facebook coin) is allowed?
As far as I know, Facebook is a U.S. corporation. It means that they (Facebook) need to acquire gambling licenses to operate (in the U.S.). I think that gambling is not their business. Moreover, many countries ban gambling and would hurt their core business if they want to operate an online casino.

Furthermore, 3rd party casinos would think twice to add the Facebook coin, because of lack privacy.

So my answer is no.
Facebook is a USA corporation but Facebook users are not only based in the USA. Well, it’s possible to go into gambling if they decide to, as they might not necessarily need any form of license from any government, it’s their decision and any country that is not pleased with it might only find a way of controlling it citizens from abstaining or even ban citizens from using the app after all China has banned its citizen for a longtime from using Whatsapp chat and this has not stopped the growth of the application in any way.. if 98 percent of their users are clamoring for coin gambling, i think they would be left with no choice than to approve
