Facebook may launch own cryptocurrency which could be used as a payment for their services. But, i don't think they would even think about starting a gambling platform. Because, gambling portrayed as a bad activity moreover, they are illegal or not regulated in many countries. So, it would definitely affect the purpose of facebook as social media.

Maybe but there are different rules and regulations in every each country about online gambling so I don't think that this Facebook gambling will be a big hit or I'm wrong. The very first thing that I can think of regarding this Facebook Crypto coin is to pay their users or get revenue from their advertisers. Facebook almost acquire all of the social media apps that has potential though so who can tell what'll happen next.

you may think those are "games" and they use made up money but if you run out of that money you can literally purchase more from facebook and continue playing

I don't expect Facebook change much their business model even if they would launch a coin. I expect this coin will help them have a much smaller number of fiat transactions and that's it (well, with that there could come some optimizations that will make them save money).

So most probably this "behavior" at the (legal) edge between games and gambling will remain as long as it's legally allowed.

Facebook already has gambling, it had gambling for YEARS to be honest with you. If you go to facebook you will see plenty of poker games that have millions of users, slots games and many games like that. Now you may think those are "games" and they use made up money but if you run out of that money you can literally purchase more from facebook and continue playing. If you spend dollars to buy chips to a game to play poker, how can you call it not gambling but a game ?

It is literally what you do in a real casino as well, not many people talk about this but it happens on mobile games as well, if you gamble with fake money but use real dollars to buy that fake money that is gambling. So, if you really do believe facebook will one day have their own coin than you can be sure there will be facebook casino as well.

I do heard several months ago that facebook will created their own coins but i think to involved to gambling industry is very far to planned because until now i didn't see any news related to it and i think it's hard to do so because gambling forbidden for some countries and as facebook users are come from around the world and possibly some of people also come from the countries which banned gambling i think if facebook including to gambling feature then those countries will banned facebook too and eventually facebook will decrease of users

There are a possibilities that facebook will come out with gambling  features,i am a facebook user for how long and i managed to play casino games via facebook so if they created own cryptocurrency then they can easily apply those facebook games to real casino games that  bets crypto
Yes, it has a possibility that they have a gambling feature but the question is when it will be happened since having their own cryptocurrency still didn't launch, only rumors that they are going to launch. Millions or maybe billions of people having a Facebook account and even me I am always updated on facebook every day. Probably I'm addicted to social media (FB) but not on gambling. Cheesy
We will know after they truly launched the coins that has been talked about, there's possibilities that if ever facebook really have this coin is not hard for them to integrate gambling games, it's not that hard for them to do that as the platform can easily adopt system to workout and being useful inside
the platform of facebook.

Well, there's the possible thing that it will be happen but I guess like the messenger apps it is separate to the Facebook main platform.
So far facebook now has a lot of online games, so probably it will happen that there is also launching gambling apps through connected in facebook. However, we don't know yet if that really happens just like rumors that they have a crypto coin but as of now still rumors.

I am not sure that facebook will lauch its own coins anytime soon. I think they first need to support crypto currency. Last year they told that they will ban ICO ads etc. Even if they launch the crypto currency, it will not be related to gambling anyway.

Ban has been lifted i think and with such a large platform as facebook, i think that even now there are already gambling games played in it whether it's crypto or fiat. I've seen several sports bettings in facebook already and with apps easily accessed through it, other gambling games can certainly be available.

Facebook won't host any gambling and it's logical. But to my mind you will be able to purchase coins, like for example you do on addmefast, then you will be able to pay advertisement price with those coins, transfer them to others (you can also purchase this coin like: you pay friend money and he will do it for you and then send it to you). Also Poker and other games on facebook where if you need more chips/levels, you have to pay for it. Coins will make this process pretty easy too.

As we have heard, Facebook is planning to launch its own coin. And we know that this site has so many people that use this to communicate, the fact that it has many users, the possibility of getting their coin famous is just an easy picky.

Could we also expect that facebook may have a feature where gambling (that uses crypto/ facebook coin) is allowed? What do you think?

I doubt Facebook will ever allow to use their coin for gambling. Because facebook will limit the usage of their coins within 3 facebook owned application only (as per the last news) - Instagram, Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp. Also there has been news coming to the market that the facebook coin's value will be pegged to few currencies, essentially a stable coin. Some says that Facebook has started discussion with few prominent crypto exchanges to list their coin but again I doubt the authenticity of this news!

Facebook is primarily targeting to use their coin in-house and they won't allow any third part to use it as their base currency. But you will probably see small gambling rackets are arranging gambling sessions offline and then transfer the facebook coin to the beneficiaries which will be most unorganized sector. But I don't see much hope for organized sectors to use facebook coin for gambling!

I don't think Facebook has any plans about opening up for gambling with there own crypto, if the coin has any value, then its only a matter of time, before some facebook users find a way to gamble with the coin, but I don't think facebook will support it.

I also doubt FB supporting the gambling could happen because it is altogether a different thing and might not want to enter into a different ball game because they would want to keep continuing the best way what are are doing and want to rebrand the FB as they have lost a huge trust of people when their data was leaked and they made money.

Really? the facebook will release its own coin? I'm wondering what's the use of their coin and how will the community accept it around the world since every nations have their own regulations, will they be affected?

and to answer your question about gambling... I think they will not going create their own gambling (did i understand it right?) But if the coin has a value some third party companies can use the facebooks coin to their gambling website.

First I am confused that whether they gonna come up with the centralized or decentralized medium. Since they are centralized stand business maximum chance to see them in centralized coin list only. Next to that, I have a doubt that in future they are going to charge the people whoever promoting the other crypto based projects.

Gambling I am not sure but they will enable faucets by playing the Facebook games by FBcoin giveaways or they gonna launch as a game by paying with their own coin.

No i don't really think that the Facebook coin or Facebook as a company will get involved with gambling. The coin can potentially unlock some new or premium features that regular users don't have.

Isn't online gambling banned in the USA?
I think offshore gambling is banned in the US. Meaning US citizens are not allowed to gamble online in Asian or European casinos for example.

No, you're wrong buddy read the below message and is lottery played by the US citizen not a form of gambling? There are some certain rules and regulations involved in USA gambling. Besides, US is among the countries where gambling is legal but not in all states. Read the below message

Quote
Bovada, one of the largest online sports betting sites, says that the only legal way for U.S. sports bettors is to bet offshore with online gambling sites. ... But, their operations were based in the U.S., which is illegal.

Quote
It is never legal to gamble on a website based in the United States. Also, if you are planning to operate an online gambling site, stay outside of the United States.

I guess never at all, the odds are too far, I bet the use case will that will be a utility token for their platform (e.g. social posts, influencers, etc.). I guess we better read their whitepaper first if they do have.

I don't think Facebook will launched that idea, some of the members of Facebook are from the countries that forbid gambling and the idea of Facebook is for social media, and for some users to have fun playing together, I think the value of the sites will drop down significantly if Facebook decides to embrace gambling through its coin

It is very difficult to know what is in the pipeline now as the information about this facebook coins is not yet out.  Maybe from they whitepaper we would be able to see if it is possible for the coin to come with gambling feature.

i dont think its real .  i think its only a rumor because i already heard of it before , that was last year if im not mistaken but until now , i dont hear any updates from facebook about thier own crypto coin  .  and why would they join the crypto scene if they are already rich and has alot of followers ?  i think thier earnings are already enough  . and they also have alot of payment methods from big names   .
