LOSS - PICK: TAKE the OILERS ML for 1.75 UNITS (2.11 ODDS).

As per your selection on the Edmonton Oilers, there are usually certain spots we look for to back or fade teams but this game is going to be all about skill and speed. Minnesota is the slowest team in the league hands down. They have an aging group of guys and they are a train wreck of a team. Don't let a 4-3 win vs Montreal fool you into thinking they are any good or that they have turned their season around. They are going to be run out of the building by this extremely fast and skilled Edmonton team and we expect Edmonton to put up at least 4 goals in this game. Edmonton has played extremely well this season as evident by their 7-1-1 starts. They outplayed Winnipeg in their last game only to lose 1-0 in a shootout. They will not go two straight games without finding the scoresheet. They have too many talented players and with McDavid and Draisaitl leading the way, the Oilers will dominate play once again vs Minnesota and escape with a victory. We'll also gladly take Mike Smith or Devin Dubnyk any day of the week. Oilers win this win as an underdog and we cash another ticket.

This is a beautiful public fade that we will take part in as the difference here as that Sam Darnold will give this Jets defense plenty of time to rest and Brady will not have as much success as he did last time helping his team score 30+. I think the Jets defense gives him all sorts of issues (Brady did not throw a Touchdown last game) and the Pats will win but win because of that defense of theirs. This will be a low scoring affair on primetime and we have this game something to the tune of 23-17 here as we have a 4 point difference here in this drag out low scoring affair.

I must say, Seahawks - Ravens game had me sweating in my chair up until its last minute because they we are so close in having our bet go in another direction. I know that these are two of the highest scoring teams in the NFL. But at their cores, both teams rely on running the ball and playing tough defense. And that's what I think that we're going to see here. The Seahawks - despite having a terrible offense apart from Russell Wilson - has scored at least 27 points in five straight games. I simply don't see that continuing here. This is the best defense that they've faced since the Saints game. But that game was just 27-7 with 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter before the Seahawks scored a bunch of garbage time points. Baltimore's offense is showing some signs of slowing after a superb start. Teams are starting to get some tape on the Ravens, and their lack of vertical passing game makes it tough for them to ring up explosive plays down the field. The 'under' is 10-5-1 in Baltimore's last 16 games against NFC teams and I think that this number was set a bit too high. Look for this one to be more of a grinder and to stay 'under'.

These two teams are heading in opposite directions, and I just do not believe Iowa should be this big of a favorite. Purdue has righted the ship after losing their quarterback, and they dominated Maryland last week in impressive fashion. Purdue has beaten Iowa two straight games, and the visitor has dominated this series, going 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings. Iowa is not explosive on offense, and Purdue has played well in their last 7 quarters (last 3 against Penn State). Purdue was shell shocked early by Penn State but held their own after the first quarter and got a pass rush against them. Iowa is coming off back-to-back losses and have seen their hopes for a Big 10 Title Game appearance all but vanish. Iowa is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 conference games. Purdue is 15-7 ATS in their last 22 road games.

What a game between the Alouettes and Argonauts. Both of them delivered and showed up. The game was back and forth since the beginning with no real winner not until the later part of it. Though the expected winner (Alouettes) won, they didn't cover the spread and thus we lost another bet today. I'm really hoping that they could cover their spread but the Argonauts really put up a magnificent fight.

Are we starting to hit a rough patch now? Hopefully not. Combing through the numerous games today.

The Alouettes need to have a statement win if they want to keep some momentum heading into the last few weeks of the season and playoffs. They have been up and down with only two wins in their last five games but they are in with a home game so they need to get things cleaned up on both sides of the ball. Toronto is long gone from the playoff picture but they did get a win over an even more hopeless Ottawa squad last week so a let down is in the cards in this one. The Als are 4-1 ATS in their last five games and the Argos are 2-4-1 on the road ATS so all signs point to a win and cover for Montreal and they should have little trouble making that happen.

The Jets are all over the place. But the bottom line is that this team is not nearly as good as they have been the past two seasons. That said, I have a hard time seeing them losing three straight home games. This is just the second road game the Islanders have played this year. They lost the first, 5-2, and were not competitive at all in that one. The Islanders are coming off two straight OT/SO wins. And they are that close to being on a four-game losing streak coming into this game. Had that been the case this number probably would've been closer to -160. I'll go with the home ice here on a short line.

Regardless, the Sharks have won two in a row and look like they might be correcting themselves. The home team has won seven of eight in this series and I think it is a bit of a red flag that the 2-4 Sharks are favored over the 6-1 Hurricanes.

BOOOOOM!!!! What a great game we just had there! I really thought that we'll gonna lose that game because of that first quarter but they picked their pace on the 2nd and 3rd.
