Also... I tried to send 38 fairbrix to my newly installed wallet. no confirmations. it did come out of my account. I looked at Fairbrix transactions at Blockexplorer and there was no such record. What's happening?

Is Fairbrix dead?
It's still chugging along in terms of network health.

Problem with fairbrix is that it needs a pool and an exchange to really kick off.  Look at the rally tenebrix is getting.

bitcoinexpress put out some bounties! also for a stats page Wink

So premining coins for bounties is not okay, but wrestling them from legitimate miners via overwhelming force is okay?

No offense, but that is a rather peculiar way of looking at things. I'd say, almost cartoonishly communist Wink

It's not ok, but in all fairness, ~35 thousands coins is a lot less than your 7.7 million premined coins.

7.7 million coins means total domination for a long time

about the bounties...  I am just being pragmatic. But I also think it would be funny.  Tongue

LOL what kind of idiot forks a chain that doesn't even have an exchange set up, or has any arguable use at all? LOL

Ok idiot, tell me which chain was forked with an exchange set up immediately.

Method of acquisition matters Wink

Mine did not involve taking what was produced via resources of others

But I was primarily riffing at (hopefully ironic) suggestion that the hacker should use those coins for bounties

I just added FBX to the blockexplorer at

http://blockexplorer.sytes.net/

or directly at

http://blockexplorer.sytes.net/chain/Fairbrix

I hope it helps.  Donations are welcome.

The current leading theory appears to be "EC strike" by an unknown hacker.

The newest that was downloaded.   How do you distinguish which is old and which is relaunched.

It looks ok all of a sudden, I open my Fairbrix client and found 50 coins Smiley

The old client or the relaunched client?

I mined till this morning on the relaunched client, there's still a ton of invalidated blocks, but I'm generating new blocks that are staying valid.
Given that I'm getting valid coins and am on the relaunched client, I don't see how it could be a client based fork.
