We are happy to announce a news section on the cryptonote.org. The new section is dedicated to new developments, ideas and news from the CryptoNote realm. About two years ago the CryptoNote technology had only been represented by Bytecoin (BCN) but since then things have changed dramatically. Not only the number of Bytecoins has soared, the other coins such as Quazarcoin, Fantomcoin and Monero are taking the cryptocurrency world by storm. The CryptoNote community becomes very diverse and geographically disseminated therefore we believe it is our duty to spread the word and bring everyone at one place. Just by clicking on the news tab you’ll have the latest account on what’s been going on with CryptoNote-based currencies along with fresh updates from the devs at hand. The idea is to turn this website into a vibrant pool of information accessible to anybody who wants to keep one's finger on the pulse of CryptoNote technology. Could you write to the pool's marketer 33zer0w0lf and developer zone117x and rise up a question about the FCN (FCN only or merged mining) pool.

Maybe if we all could do this they will actually notice FCN and a community behind it. I've been writing them for a while now and received only 1 answer that it will be launched as soon as it's ready.

Yes, the dev team is very active. I'm not speaking for them, but they're most likely doing what devs do best: working on the project

. As for this error, I've never seen it before. My very rough guess is that maybe your connection is slow, but perhaps someone who's experienced this message before will chime in.

he is operating his own pool i guess, that's why this error is unfamiliar to us.

on the side note: i'm shocked - how could amphibian understand him ? this english...

Hey,

As far as my telepathic powers go I can recommend you to look into miner.cpp file.

To be more precise, you should probably look into miner::set_block_template function - it looks like you set wrong mm_tag in parent_block.miner_tx.extra which causes fantomcoind to reject your submitted block.

In one Terminal, start fantomcoind by:

In another Terminal, start monerocoind by:

If you get a permission error, add "sudo" to the front of those commands, like

sudo ./fantomcoind

Each of those will start the coin's daemons and will download (synch) the blockchain for each coin. AFTER each coin's blockchain has downloaded (the Terminal will display a message saying that synch is complete), then in another Terminal, to start merge mining both coins:
