any word from open source pool developers? don't get me wrong, i'm not complaning, difficulty is just right for any kind of mining, but more popularity means more people and higher exchange rate

Is it possible to merge mine all CN coins out there? Maybe not right now but can this be deviced?
FCN would shoot up as CN coin #1 if miners could mine all the CN chains simultaneously FCN+BCN+MRO+DUCK+MON+QZR..

Anyone knows to solo merged mine with DuckNote?
It's pretty much the same as with any other coin, you just have to use duckNote port.
According to the official duckNote thread
Default P2P port: 42080
Default RPC port: 42081

did you try to connect to fcn-mro.pool.minergate.com:5559 / fcn-qcn.pool.minergate.com:5560 ? according to the fantomcoin.org it's minergate's merged mining ip's. you could give it a testing flight.

I believe merged mining is not yet implemented in the GPU pools. Though I might be mistaken, you should ask the GPU mining developer.

to go even fantomcoin

It seems to me that open-source pool is mandatory nowadays for a coin to survive. Even though exchange rate on both bittrex and poloniex is more than okay.

I think that doesn't matter. It depends on internet speed and the amount of transactions.
