I visited an uncle in another city. His birth year was 1960. He has been an avid gambler for a long time and frequently visits brick-and-mortar casinos. He currently wants to test out an crypto casino. He has heard a great deal about it. He did, however, note that despite possessing the cash, he has no knowledge of how to use cryptocurrency for gambling but would really like to. I would like to suggest that crypto casinos put a video tutorial explaining how to use cryptocurrencies for gambling on their website.

What other features would you like to see in crypto casinos for senior citizens?

Why add an extra and unnecessary layer of complication by suggesting to use a crypto casino? There are much larger and well established casino's out there which have been running for a long time, which simply require a bank card or other simple payment methods to top up. Crypto casinos don't offer anything particularly new or revolutionary in terms of the games / sports betting on offer. Look for accessibility functions and maybe even check the footer of the site for any extra settings which might help.
It seemed he could use the self-exclusion feature if necessary but it also depended on the person, as normally, they rarely used this feature unless it was by accident. And I think if it's about video tutorials, he can try to find it on Youtube, which has tutorials about gambling and even some tutorials on how to play a gambling game. He wants to know how to gamble using crypto. Maybe he needs to know about crypto first and its benefits so that he can divert his attention to using crypto for gambling. After all, if someone is familiar with crypto for gambling, he can return to gambling casinos more often than other people, as we do Grin

Welcome to the forum,

I am very curious how they will handle their token. On the forum there are some casinos that have launched their native tokens on the market and have not been successful, and one of the reasons is firstly because of the bitcoin price drop, and secondly the casino turns its back on the community that they themselves create. .

When casinos see a lot of money from a market coming from their token, they no longer take the community into account and obviously lose all support( It's just the behavior of some casinos I've seen), and here you cannot leave your investors aside, it is a golden rule, they must always be keep happy and with news of optimism.. I would advise you to make a difference and for your native token, not only list it on decentralized exchanges, but at least one famous centralized exchange to arouse the interest of big investors.

Along with video lectures and tutorials, it would be great also to have visual representations and pictures on a step-by-step process of deposit and withdrawal. Given that the nature of cryptocurrency is complicated in itself, it would make it very convenient for these elderly people if such processes were at least spoonfed to them.

Another feature that would definitely be great is for a website to have the option of increasing the font sizes of the texts. Given that majority of the elderly people have deteriorating eyesight, having such option would help them read better.

To be honest, I have no complain on elderly people gambling. I know a few of my friend's grandparents who gamble and these people know how to discipline. Like, they gamble purely for entertainment given that they literally have nothing to do in their free time.

True but sometimes it gives fun to have someone to play along with us especially if they are really close to us.  Since it actually doesn't need another step to play in a cryptocurrency casino because there is also an option for the fiat player to deposit cash via debit or visa card to the crypto casino.  So I think the additional feature would be allowing cash winnings to be able to withdraw in form of cryptocurrency which is available in some crypto casinos but the majority I knew don't have this function.

Well, I had a friend who at that time was over 60 years old, and he told me that he wanted to learn everything about computers, and I remember that every day I went and taught him, and in a period of 3 months he had a great level , he learned a lot, about internet searches, about what pages he could visit, what pages not to visit, at that time it was long before 2009, because Bitcin did not exist yet, but I am sure that if it had existed and I would have taught him, he would have acquired Bitcoin and I would have worked with BITCOIN, older adults are very intelligent and I think that a crypto casino would learn crypto very quickly.
There are elderly that can catch up with everything that they want to learn and it's only going to take them less time to be good at it. Although it sounds good to see them taking some touch with crypto and gambling. It's better for them to just enjoy other things than gambling. I agree to the concerns of the others that don't encourage them into gambling if they're already old enough because we don't know if they'll be compulsive and will start to react with every loss that they make. I saw some elder that have been through with that.

Much better if they can enjoy their remaining years into something more fruitful and meaningful for them.
We don't know if in the process of learning the crypto gambling, they will be addicted into it, and will pose problem for them especially financially.
But if they are really interested, you can advise them to do simple searches first over the internet, they can learn little by little.
They should not force themselves in learning all they need at a very short period of time, take time to understand and assess if this is the path they want to do with their remaining years of life.

Op you don't have to suggest a video tutorial or any other teaching process or material to your uncle. Because I didn't see any big different between depositing Fiat currency to a casino platform and use it to gamble with the transfer of cryptocurrency to a casino platform, you can just teach him how to make a deposit from his wallet to the casino site if only he is ready gamble in his old age. I am not advising you to teach anything in gambling because in his age now he has to keep his money for up keeping and paying bills at home not to gamble but he is eager to do that then there is no option than to teach him.

OP do not teach your uncle who is already an old person to play in online casinos, he already plays in the physical casino that are more reliable, do not drag your uncle to the online casinos that are casinos with many problems, I think you are doing enough time in this cryptocurrency market to have seen so many scams, so you know the danger of online casinos, elderly people are very sensitive, they can get some disease and die because of some online casino that withheld their fund

are you imagining explaining your uncle to add his bank account to buy bitcoin (see that even in this process it is possible for your uncle to suffer a scam and lose money) and then create an account at a casino and have to go through KYC, he plays and wins and when you try to withdraw receive information that you have been banned because you are using too many accounts

I ask you:

are you sure it would be good to get your uncle involved in online casinos?

   -   I think your uncle is only an avid gambler in the land-based casino and when it comes to the online casino here in the crypto world he is not familiar.

Since you are the one here in the crypto gambling space, why don't you OP teach him the basics so he can enter and play in crypto gambling, that's easy for you, email, password, and how to create a wallet whether it is btc or usdt.

Because if you give him a video tutorial, it might be more complicated in his condition, it's different to have someone personally explain and show him how to do it.

Why not teach the elderly about cryptocurrencies and how to send the crypto into a casino. I am sure that they will find it easy to do since sending funds to another platform is not very complicated thing but the problem will be on how to use the gadget. Well, my mother doesn't even know how to use mobile phones and evem right now is that she didn't know all of its features and my mother only use messenger app and Facebook and nothing else. I think that it may be a challenge to teach ssomeone about gadgets but for someone who is interested even though that person is an elder then I think it may be easier to do.
It would be better than teaching parents about crypto gambling because we don't know how well they can control themselves by not using all their coins in one day. And if they find they can't control themselves, they can deposit more money into the crypto casino to continue gambling. This is the same as allowing them to gamble more than other people. We should be able to teach these parents to use something properly and correctly, especially if it is about bitcoin, and they also need to prepare for their old age in peace by making bitcoin an investment for their old age. It will really help them when they have no money and feel bad about asking their children for money, and they can sell their bitcoins to earn money and meet their needs without the help of their children.
I agree with you that it is not the greatest idea to introduce parents to the world of cryptocurrency gaming. Instead, they need to be taught the value of Bitcoin as a long-term investment. Betting profits are secondary to retirement planning, after all.

They need to learn the value of responsible money management in order to resist the temptation to gamble in the future, as you pointed out. Making Bitcoin into an investment helps them save for the future and prevents them from feeling dependent on their offspring. Everything benefits, and I have faith that this strategy will improve their lives for the better in the long run.

I don't think that is necessary because deposit and withdrawal work the same way on almost every site.
If anyone wants to learn about how deposits and withdrawals work in crypto then they can simply dig it up on YouTube.
There are plenty of videos describing how to make transactions and how to use wallets.
Deposit and withdrawing from a casino site will work ghe same way and its just that interface is a little different.
But even that problem will be solved when the user keeps interacting with the site.

None?

Right now every crypto casino are really easy about their deposit and withdrawal process, it doesn't need any tutorial as long as your uncle or the old people can use cellphone and ever bought stuff via online. It's just a basic step and completely similar, what they need to understand is how to use non custodial wallet, understand about various blockchain network and how to make sure the device is safe from malware or virus.
No it's not none, given that some elderly are not yet used to gadgets and even more in crypto . Aside from giving them some tutorial about wallets and other stuffs, they should need to be taught about crypto, security (since they can be easily targeted by scammers sorry but people who are old is the frequent victim of phishing) and of course the game itself. I also want to have a casino who has an AI navigation in which each time they will hover into something it will be explained to them.

Based on the year of birth mentioned OP uncle is at his 60+ age. Even at this age people are getting much used to smartphones. Teaching them once about the way of making deposits in terms of cryptocurrencies will be easily learnt by them. Majority of the gambling sites now have the inbuilt service to buy cryptocurrency using cards. This too can be used for the deposit and when it comes to playing his uncle seems used to it.
not everyone aged 60+ is used to using a smartphone and usually parents prefer things that are not so difficult to do such as physical gambling or other activities that are easier to do. because parents over the age of 60 have physical impairments, for example, vision that is no longer clear or cannot remember things easily.

like my father is currently aged 65+ he also still gambles in physical gambling and when I offer to gamble in crypto casinos he replies "too old and hard to understand".
from my father's statement, we can conclude that not all parents are currently familiar with smartphones.

If a crypto casino is indeed a video tutorial to explain how and how to use a crypto casino then this is not a good move, especially to provide understanding to those who are elderly.
Due to limited memory and several other factors, it will be difficult for an elderly person to understand and be able to understand how to use a crypto casino even though there is a video tutorial.
It would be better if someone or us gave direction and understanding directly and slowly so they could understand correctly and precisely, because giving direction and understanding to those who are elderly can only be done by people who are patient.

I regret it if an older person still thinks about gambling, even if that person says he gambles just for fun. We will never know when we will experience gambling addiction. And once it comes, it will attack people of all ages. Even older people can experience it. You better suggest to your uncle to use crypto, especially bitcoin as their investment instead of using it for gambling.

I think casinos can also provide tutorials about using crypto on their sites so that ordinary people can know how to play gambling using crypto.

To add to what you've just said, older people base on research diminish in strength and love for activities they were once used to, gambling is fun but they may not have that tenacity to think on how to bet without making mistakes, they can get use to doing some sort of exercise or little plays that can be brain teaming aside gambling, they should be eating with their little money in their hands and maintaining themselves than using it for gambling.
These older people may have experienced a decline in everything, so they may often experience mistakes in playing gambling, resulting in them being able to experience defeats and losing more money from people who are easier than them. And usually, older people don't think about making money, even if it's just for entertainment. They exercise more often and do activities that don't require a lot of energy or use the brain's work. But some old people are still used to using their brains and doing physical activity.

We shouldn't expect more from them because they are only a casino and not a crypto wallet or a crypto trading platform. Many of them are now supporting fiat and bank payments so one should not stress themselves about crypto if they find it too complex.

And no need for these crypto-gambling sites to add a feature to help these elderly people. I'm sure enough that by spending time even with only the basics of crypto, these old folks will eventually understand what crypto is all about. Actually, they don't need to learn what crypto is all about if they just want to experience gambling on a crypto-gambling site as they are more used on fiat gambling sites.

Maybe if we can encounter old folks who are really eager to feel the taste of gambling in a crypto-casino, let's suggest to them a site that:

- can buy crypto directly at the gambling site with the use of fiat
- crypto can be shown in fiat value while gambling

That would be a good start.
