I regret it if an older person still thinks about gambling, even if that person says he gambles just for fun. We will never know when we will experience gambling addiction. And once it comes, it will attack people of all ages. Even older people can experience it. You better suggest to your uncle to use crypto, especially bitcoin as their investment instead of using it for gambling.

I think casinos can also provide tutorials about using crypto on their sites so that ordinary people can know how to play gambling using crypto.

Nothing wrong with old man to gamble, especially for this case OP say that his uncle is not even newbie at all in gambling.
I'm sure his uncle is experienced enough with gambling and he should have known how to deal with it better than newbies.
Anyway, if the idea to learn crypto gambling comes from himself, it is fine for OP to teach him about crypto gambling but ofc OP also needs to tell his uncle anything related to online casinos that can be something new for his uncle.

he needs guidance as he is new to using crypto in gambling. he can easily get rekt by simple mistake in pressing buttons regarding deposit/withdrawal. there are tons of tutorials already out there when dealing with crypto. but a hands on tutorial is a better one as you can explain more on what to do, not to do and all the things in between. just remind them that if they are not sure about what they are doing, use small amount of money to test first, like if the money will go thru or not.

What other features would you like to see in crypto casinos for senior citizens?

It doesn't make sense. Why should crypto casinos adjust for senior citizens?

I mean, what features you are really looking for specifically for senior citizens? Tutorials? How to? FAQ? I'm sure all basic information that anyone is looking for, regardless of age, should be found in a crypto-casino.

As a family member, and you know that your uncle is interested in testing crypto-casinos, why not just guide him along the process?

when you visit your uncle, why don't you teach him at the same time? Isn't that much easier than giving him some kind of video tutorial, because playing directly will make it easier for him to understand

Watching video tutorials wouldn't be enough for an elderly to fully understand how crypto gambling works not unless you will volunteer to share knowledge with him. Since yoh have introduced about crypto gambling, you should also have the courage to share how you understand it, and also, never forget to tell him all the risks of crypto gambling. Not all elderly person could understand how blockchain technology works because it will take time for them to adopt all the basics of it especially if they aren't into the latest technology.

Is it wrong for an elderly person to gamble? We have different opinions about this because I do not see it wrong if gambling should be for fun.

Also know that teens can more fall of addiction than an old man that have seen a lot about life if he has gambling experience before. You can read the OP again to know that the man is not new to gambling, he use fiat gambling sites before, but just want to know about crypto gambling.

Your uncle already has you, and I think you are the best resource he has when it comes to crypto gambling since you are already familiar with it. Plus, you can easily 'level' with him in his understanding about crypto and quickly answer whatever question he may have that isn't easily covered in most tutorial videos on how to use cryptocurrencies. He'll easily learn in that way rather than you pushing him into a direction that, we know, isn't really working for the most part since some of their instructions are vague and are sometimes worded badly with too many jargons thrown around.

I visited an uncle in another city. His birth year was 1960. He has been an avid gambler for a long time and frequently visits brick-and-mortar casinos. He currently wants to test out an crypto casino. He has heard a great deal about it. He did, however, note that despite possessing the cash, he has no knowledge of how to use cryptocurrency for gambling but would really like to. I would like to suggest that crypto casinos put a video tutorial explaining how to use cryptocurrencies for gambling on their website.

What other features would you like to see in crypto casinos for senior citizens?

I have no idea about this, let alone make it easier for seniors if they want to try playing in crypto casinos. I think this is a job for platform casinos.
However, IMO. an efficient and effective step is to give direct guidance. you can tell him, step by step and introduce things in a simple and basic way. this will be much more effective, than every casino putting video tutorials on their site pages which are only for the elderly.

but maybe, the idea will be very useful. but most of the elderly will ignore it because most of them are not good with technology. i have the same story, as you tell in this thread. some of the people around me always ask the same things, especially regarding how to play at online casinos. very reasonable, because the elderly are quite foreign to today's sophisticated technology. in fact, in most cases they also don't know how to deposit or withdraw. what I do is, give them direct instructions, step by step, until they understand and can play smoothly without needing my guidance anymore.

for me crypto casino is very easy to use for old or young people who know how to use phone functions and know how to use google.
but according to your story he was born in 1960 and i think he is around 63 years old, that is very old to gamble in online casino or crypto casino. because usually people aged 60 and over have visual impairments or find it difficult to understand how to gamble in crypto casinos. so providing video features how to gamble in crypto casino is pointless.

actually in my city there are still many old people aged 60 years and over who still gamble, but they only bet on the lottery or other physical bets. and they do not want to experience online gambling on the grounds that being old it is difficult to understand the function of using the internet to gamble in online casinos or crypto casinos.

Maybe gambling will be the first way your uncle gets to know about crypto, Be sure to let him know that there are other purposes people buy cryptocurrency particularly bitcoins asides to gamble. Using cryptocurrency for gambling is very similar to using fiat, difference is one is deposited via a wallet, while fiat is via the regular banks. Your uncle needs to just get familiar with using and sending cryptocurrency from one place to another, if he can, he can easily become conversant with use of crypto casinos.

I think video tutorials are not helpful enough, sometimes when someone is elderly it is difficult to memorize them, but if he is guided directly, of course he will understand faster than watching video tutorials in casinos. after all there is no complicated game play in the casino just press the spin button  Cheesy

An old timer like him might not completely like the cryptocurrency and the associated online gambling presence. You would have first make him knowledgeable about crypto and how to keep it safe and secure then introduce him to online casinos and explain safety measures there. Online stuff is always going to be a problem for the older people, who lack a technical background, we all are aware of this.

He would rather miss the physical casino ambience. Try to introduce him through your own account, see if he likes it at all. Other than that I dont see any casinos giving out promos for senior citizens, they would have to KYC him first anyway.

I see that the OP has a progressive uncle. Here is my simple counsel to you, while you are with him, teach him how to wager using crypto particularly bitcoin which I believe will be the easiest to understand.
I want to believe that your uncle also has friend of his age-group with similar interest and curiosity. You should teach them too. Lastly, have a feature of a link that teaches gamblers how to use crypto to wager in their website is competitive advantage for online casinos. If you check the blogs of this crypto casinos, they usually provide a guide on it. You should check it out.

Honestly, I probably would not bother with crypto casino adjustments and modifications for the elderly because the elderly are very stuck in their ways and it is virtually impossible to introduce them to anything new and actually have them understand that new thing. Thats just from my experience.

Any elderly gambler is going to stick to the old way and the old, physical slot machines and so on.

There might be a way to integrate that into crypto but it would only confuse and anger them.

Imagine how your uncle would look like if he's watching a youtube video and then following the instruction in another tab or screen in case it's dual. That would still be inconvenient unless he's more technical than most elderly. I'm with electronicash that it's better to teach them face to face.

I don't know if there are features that would make it easy for them but maybe make sure that they use a device where all buttons are visible to them. A big monitor for example.

I think it's a great suggestion and often overlook by casinos on their "how to's", I guess only a few do have this feature that they show videos, most are into articles. I'm not saying articles aren't that of great help but it would feel differently if it'll be in a video content, some people want it in this way or should I say most considering it's easy to follow.
Only the help a casino can render is to let gamblers that visit their site to know how to deposit or withdraw which is what is on their site. I do not think they should teach gamblers what is not in their site. If you are not a crypto user, use fiat gambling site. If you want to use crypto, learn about it online, there are many articles online that can help. But if a casino provide such help, there is nothing bad about it, but it is not their work.
It may not be their work but still it's a good addition if people want to know more even with simple deposit and withdrawal. I, myself has been into crypto with gambling but so far I haven't really learned it on their site, instead, on other sources.

The elderly have passed through the early stage, so I believe that if not for medical issues, they should be able to follow the simple guidelines provided to them either with or without videos. It's your responsibility at that time to guide your uncle on this, you would have started from Bitcoin and other cryptos, how they come into play, used for payments and as an alternative that could be used for payments in casinos almost exactly as fiats could be used.

From there, you guys could have moved to the chosen casino site, and with a simple tutorial from you, he would have gotten it since he is not new to the game. However, if he must watch videos, youtube and other sites are there for short and extensive teaching on how to gamble online.
That your uncle has an appetite for learning about cryptocurrency gambling is fantastic news. You're right that instructional videos would be helpful in teaching him how to utilize cryptocurrency in gaming. I agree that it would be a useful tool for many individuals, particularly the elderly who may be unfamiliar with modern technology.

But I think there are some additional aspects that would be useful for the elderly as well. It would be fantastic if, for instance, crypto casinos had a more user-friendly UI, with bigger buttons and easier-to-read typefaces. A live chat support option, where customers can ask issues and receive instant responses, may be another useful addition.

A streamlined deposit and withdrawal procedure may also be helpful, so that older players don't have to jump through hoops to get their hands on their earnings. Many seniors would appreciate a secured and encrypted platform with a dependable customer support staff since they worry about the security of their retirement savings.

There's nothing bad in putting forward a short demo video for beginners to learn about how to gamble but you need to know that watching ordinary video is not enough in teaching someone how to gamble, especially now that your consideration is targeted on the old aged ones, this may not be that easy for them because they may not finds it very easy to learn and understand as the casino houses they have been used to right from time, remember some of them may have visual disabilities and operating the online casinos could be an hectic task on them except for young adults, but i really so well go with your idea of including a video clip in form of demo to teach those interested in learning some specific features.
