Maybe they are not into 'new features' of this industry. My grandfather as well have tried visiting the online gambling platform I am currently playing at and it was a bit funny that he's mad of the fact that there are too many colors with the site's UI. Also with the games, he was seeking for a more plain one wherein he could play slots. He's not into sports gambling and other 'highly active' games. He prefers more of a 'play n' go ' kind of games. But this is not to generalize still. I'm just glad that gambling does not age into its players. This somehow formed a question in my mind; would I still be gambling when I'm old? I hope I still do.

The casino system for the elderly is a controversial issue and can have negative implications for the social and financial well-being of the elderly. Some countries ban casinos for the elderly's usage as they view it as a form of exploitation and misuse of social funds allocated to assist the elderly.
However, there are also other arguments that say that casinos for the elderly can be a source of entertainment and a useful social activity for the elderly. Some elderly-specific casinos offer assistance and training for those unfamiliar with casino games so they can play safely and wisely.
Before deciding to create a casino system for the elderly, it is very important to consider all aspects and implications that may occur and ensure that the elderly involved will be protected and not disadvantaged in any way

I think it's a great suggestion and often overlook by casinos on their "how to's", I guess only a few do have this feature that they show videos, most are into articles. I'm not saying articles aren't that of great help but it would feel differently if it'll be in a video content, some people want it in this way or should I say most considering it's easy to follow.

I visited an uncle in another city. His birth year was 1960.

Damn. People born in the 60s are considered to be elderly already? I've always considered people over 70 years old to be old. Some of my friends have parents nearing 70 and they aren't old at all. They go skiing, hiking, they still work, read books, some go to the gym. It's not like you're losing hearing and sight when you're 60. I'm 40 and you're making me feel old by calling 60 year olds "elderly".

I would like to suggest that crypto casinos put a video tutorial explaining how to use cryptocurrencies for gambling on their website.
It's not a bad idea. Many exchanges have vide tutorials, so why not casinos?
I wouldn't just target older people with these. I know a lot of guys who are in their 40s and don't use computers much so they get lost while browsing. I also know a 70 year old architect who's a CAD pro, so it's not about the age, it's the intelligence and attitude towards learning that defines how you do things.

I would like to suggest that crypto casinos put a video tutorial explaining how to use cryptocurrencies for gambling on their website.

Why would they, they know that when gamblers visit and decide to play at their casino they know how Cryptocurrency works they cater to Cryptocurrency holders, they are casinos not tutorial sites.
So far I have not encountered a thread or topic about a player who wants to play in a Crypto casino but does not know how to deposit and if there is, it's very rare, so the tutorial will be useless unless the supports receive a lot of requests to add it because its additional load to their bandwidth and database.

Say to him that the difference between gambling on the internet and gambling on the physical/brick and mortar casino is that in  cryptocurrency gambling, their money can't be tangible while playing, which means that they will have a tendency to overspend their balance on a particular game without them noticing.

And of course, he has to learn how bitcoin wallet works first. You don't want your uncle to send and receive crypto on a different chains, do you?.

What other features would you like to see in crypto casinos for senior citizens?
Probably an option to increase the size of the text by just one click.
Well, most of the crypto casino today are very friendly and its easy to access, though some might see it more complicated since they are used to traditional casinos but eventually once they understand how it works, they can still catch up. Beside your uncle is not that old, I'm pretty sure he still wants to learn a new things.

The best advice for your uncle is to ask all his questions in the support of the site. There are also many reviews on YouTube and on the Internet for each casino. But in any case, the first step is to study the principle of how cryptocurrencies work: how wallets and basic security work. This moment should not be missed. If he really has an interest,he will definitely cope.

Casinos don't assume that elderly gamblers do not know the existence of Cryptocurrency or they do not know how to trade or use Cryptocurrency, once a gambler visited a Cryptocurrency casino they assume that you know how to deposit and how to gamble because if you read their TOS they assume or are sure that you are already are a gambler.
There is no need for that if a visitor does not know how to use or deposit the support will help them, so far all the elders I've seen who gamble on Cryptocasinos have prior knowledge of how Cryptocurrency works.

What other features would you like to see in crypto casinos for senior citizens?
None or I might say really don't understand what senior citizens needed, because of course only senior citizens know exactly what they need when playing at a crypto casino, but even though casinos don't have tutorials about depositing and using crypto on the internet there are lots of tutorials about it so it's not such an important thing to do, they will only be unfamiliar at first, but once know how it works, it will be easy.

I visited an uncle in another city. His birth year was 1960. He has been an avid gambler for a long time and frequently visits brick-and-mortar casinos. He currently wants to test out an crypto casino. He has heard a great deal about it. He did, however, note that despite possessing the cash, he has no knowledge of how to use cryptocurrency for gambling but would really like to. I would like to suggest that crypto casinos put a video tutorial explaining how to use cryptocurrencies for gambling on their website.

I guess it's just the same as using crypto isn't it? regardless if that is an exchange or gambling platform. And if your uncle are technically incline, then it's easy for him to used crypto.

So that is the big question, is your uncle even using a phone to begin with?

And I doubt that casinos are going to target a kind of video to promote their websites to senior citizens.

Frankly speaking I wont teach/suggest someone I know about crypto gambling especially if I know if he/she is old enough and if I know that it will something not easy for him/her to understand. Even if he/she is a gambler in land based casino, but I think it will be still complicated for the elderly to adapt with new technology unless you know them well in case on how adaptive your uncle with new technology.

What other features would you like to see in crypto casinos for senior citizens?
Big, clear and simple buttons on the website make it easier for elders to use virtual casinos, similar to how some smartphones are projected for old people. I believe the many features and configurations we have at gambling platforms difficult the comprehension for elders, and increase the risk they click somewhere by mistake, potentially losing funds too quickly and consequently leading them to have a very negative experience with online gambling.

None?

Right now every crypto casino are really easy about their deposit and withdrawal process, it doesn't need any tutorial as long as your uncle or the old people can use cellphone and ever bought stuff via online. It's just a basic step and completely similar, what they need to understand is how to use non custodial wallet, understand about various blockchain network and how to make sure the device is safe from malware or virus.

It's good for a casino to have that but when it comes to learning how Cryptocurrency works, there are a lot of these on Youtube, and there are many sites dedicated to learning how Cryptocurrency works, the Crypto casinos can just post links to those videos and articles.
There's no difference in teaching Cryptocurrency to older and younger people as long as the elder is not afflicted with Alzheimer's he can learn how everything works in less than a week, there are a lot of easy-to-understand tutorials about Cryptocurrency.

If he resides in the US and doesn't mind using a smartphone, then I would point him out at the newest applications made by different gambling sites.
Fanduel for example. DraftKings and more. This will get rid of the learning process about cryptocurrencies and avoid the trouble of teaching him.
But, if you are eager to teach him about the crypto gambling sites then I think there's a lot on this forum that we could suggest for him. Reputable sites that has many currency choices and maybe even the hard cash could work.

There is no imagination in my mind why I have to provide special features, because basically there is no technical difference between casino games whether crypto or fiat based. I think the elderly just need to be directed to sites that are oriented towards basic crypto learning.

As their friendlier option, there are some casinos that use fiat values on their crypto casino account balances.

He may need a casino with an in-game exchange service feature. Someone posted a list about that here in the gambling discussions but I am having a hard time finding it. That way, he won't really need to do all the hard work of learning all about other cryptocurrencies, he just needs 1 coin, bitcoin preferably and exchange his USD for it.
But the easier path is just to use the USD payment option of any gambling site, they are available. Stake.com and Sportsbet have USD, and other fiat currencies available.
A cryptocurrency casino or sports bookie doesn't actually mean that's their only option for deposits.

Well, video tuts/howtos would be great but when you mentioned "casino for the elderly" I somehow imagined big fonts, high contrast color scheme, text-to-speech support stuff like that.  Grin  Actually, many elderly people are gambling online and I haven't heard about any special age-related issues they're having. Many 60-70+ people are are using this forum as well. No problemo.  Cool

Is there a difference in the features created at a casino for the young and the old?
Modern-day casinos provide a lot of convenience for players who want to play.
To be able to play gambling, the thing that is needed is a deposit. At the deposit stage, account and wallet numbers are provided for those who want to play at crypto casinos.

For your uncle who wants to try switching to crypto casino gambling, you need to explain the basics in detail so that he is not nervous. I think when he receives an explanation from you, he will definitely understand it quickly especially since he is an active gambler.

I think the best feature they can add is live chat support to assist them, I reckon a tutorial is naturally there so no need for that, but if there were any issues to crop up I reckon having live support could help the elderly in accessing casinos if they ever wanted to. Though I do think that any elderly visiting a casino would probably know what he's doing, I reckon no one would honestly just get lost and suddenly end up in one after all.

In your uncle's case, I think it'd be better to learn about crypto in general first then online casinos, online casinos work the same anyway, crypto or not, so knowing what crypto is and how to use it should be the priority.
