How it works:
1. You send at least 0.01 BTC to the donation address.
2. I wait until it reaches 1640 PHP or about 40 USD (fiat equivalent.) *edit* I will probably wait until there is at least a whole bitcoin, regardless of exchange rate.
3. I change the BTC to PHP through local traders here.
4. I buy and donate 1 bag of VitaMeal.
5. I take a picture of the bag (if there is one available on the spot), and the receipt, post here.
6. Go back to step 1.
The "goal" is for me to get enough donations on average at least 30 bags a month, or enough to feed 30 children a month every day.
There is no upper limit.
If I don't reach my goal after two months, this isn't really going to work.
We are deeply troubled that every day more than 15,000 children around the world are dying from malnutrition. NSE, through Nourish the Children, wants to be a powerful force in saving children’s lives. Scientists worked hand-in-hand with Dr. Ken Brown of the University of California, Davis, an expert in child malnutrition, to formulate VitaMeal. An ideal solution for malnourished children, each VitaMeal contains a balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber. VitaMeal also provides essential fatty acids required for normal brain development, skin health, and immune defense. Including 25 essential vitamins and minerals essential for normal sight, immune functions, growth, and skeletal development, each donation of this nutrient-dense VitaMeal mix provides a child with 30 meals of nutritious, delicious food.
Five million children die each year from malnutrition and starvation. Our goal is to nourish millions of children every day. Our alliance with Feed The Children and other qualified agencies plays an important role in making this possible.
The Nourish the Children® initiative has helped to fight world hunger by supporting projects in countries all over the world, including Malawi, Indonesia, China, Philippines, Haiti, Iraq, Guatemala, and Romania. Just days after the tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia, a 747 aircraft carried packages of VitaMeal to the victims. Over 1.5 million meals were routed to the area within a month. VitaMeal is now being produced at 2 new plants in China & Malawi, providing not only jobs and economic development to the people, but also nourishing food.
Customers and distributors are invited to voluntarily donate a portion of their purchases through Nourish the Children to Feed The Children, an independent charitable organization that delivers the food donations to malnourished children around the world without charging a single penny. With the continued help of individuals from around the world, we will help save the starving children around the world. Be a part of the relief effort.

About VitaMealScientists collaborated with a leading expert in child malnutrition to develop VitaMeal. One bag of VitaMeal holds 30 child-sized meals—enough to provide one nourishing meal a day to a child for a month.
Malnourished children are missing
KEY NUTRIENTS in their diets, which can hinder brain, bone, and immune system development. Most humanitarian food consists mainly of grain, such as corn, but may lack other essential nutrients necessary for
HEALTHY DEVELOPMENT.
VitaMeal is
SPECIALLY FORMULATED FOR MALNOURISHED CHILDREN or family use and produced by a company with extensive experience in nutrition. Working with an expert in child malnutrition in third-world countries, they developed VitaMeal to provide:
- A balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber
- Essential fatty acids required for normal brain development, skin health, and immune defense
- Electrolytes necessary for maintaining normal fluid balance and muscle function
- 25 essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A for normal sight and immune functions, as well as nutrients for normal growth and skeletal development
VitaMeal is vegetarian and non-dairy, and allows for the easy addition of ingredients to fit every taste and culture. Each VitaMeal package contains 30 child-sized meals, or enough food to provide a child with one nutritious meal each day for a month.

Some Questions:Q: How severe is the malnutrition problem in the world?
A: According to UNICEF, ”Every day, on average more than 26,000 children under the age of five die around the world, mostly from preventable causes... In up to half of under-five deaths an underlying cause is under-nutrition, which deprives a young child’s body and mind of the nutrients needed for growth and development.” (State of the World’s Children 2008) If only a small percentage of the population was willing to contribute two meals per day, millions of lives could be saved.
Q: Can donors designate where their donations will be distributed?
A: Charity partners own and control the VitaMeal donated to them and ensure that the proper personnel and infrastructure exist for distribution. It would not be feasible or responsible for them to send small quantities of food to every destination indicated by donors.
Q: What's in it for you Dabs? You don't get any money?
A: That is correct, 100% of funds (Bitcoins converted or exchanged to Philippine Peso) goes to purchasing and donating. I'm in it for the 15 seconds of fame since your donations will course through me. Every year, there is a recognition seminar from the foundation and organization, and I hope to go up the stage and say I was responsible for feeding hundreds or thousands of starving children. I'm supposed to get a pin which I can stick on my shirt.
Q: All you want is a stupid pin?
A: Yes, I don't need your money. The pin is bragging rights. That, and kids will love you all (and me.)
Q: What else does Dabs do?
A: As a member and Officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, I also regularly participate in disaster relief efforts, search and rescue missions, medical, dental and engineering civil-military operations, free haircuts, free circumcision, feeding programs and other outreach type activities. We interact with local government units to host and sponsor these events.
I also get to drive a tank, fire a cannon, jump from the top of a building, dive to the bottom of the sea, shoot a coin from half a mile away, do martial arts, and run almost naked in pitch black darkness dodging bullets.
Dabs is a graduate of the Special Forces School, The Armor School, Naval Special Operations School, and Field Artillery Gunnery. He is the Psy Ops Team Leader for the Las Pinas Unit, 1st Civil Military Affairs Group, Civil Military Affairs Brigade, AFP Reserve Command.
He is an alumnus of the University of the Philippines - Institute for Small Scale Industries.
He is married, with 2 children, and will keep your bitcoins safe or use it for a good cause.
Q: You are in the Reserve Force?
A: Yes. I do not take a salary from my military service. I do it part-time or when there is some natural calamity happening such as typhoons, floods, storms, earthquakes or other acts of God.
Q: Where do you make your money Dabs?
A: I am employed by a company that makes clothes. I am in the accounting department and am in charge of the payroll of more than 180 people. They get their salary from me. I push buttons. I am not rich, but I am comfortable.
Q: So, this is not a scam or ponzi? You won't disappear to some tropical country?
A: Yes, this is legit. I already live in a tropical country.
Q: Are there videos about this feeding thing?
A: Here,
