For those of you who don't understand.
Butterfly labs is located at that location.
The giant red bar signifies that they're pulling some
serious hashrate via their ASCIs. They're driving difficulty up
while profiting and while creating the demand for their machines.

They do need to get 1000 BTC...

Isn't that reaching and assuming just a teeny tiny bit?

Having a hard time determining how those spikes correlate to hashing power.  Now, mind you, I'll be one of the first in line to say something underhanded is going on with BFL (and also one of the first to eat my words should they start sending UPS tracking numbers by the 1000s anytime soon).  But, it looks like those are simply showing connected nodes and "uptime".

http://whois.arin.net/rest/net/NET-68-115-80-0-1/pft

If you look at the list and not the pretty picture (it is cool!), you'll see a node on Charter that has more uptime than all the others.

Going through the blockchain blocks list, it looks like the pools are still getting all the blocks.  Now, BFL is probably on those pools with YOUR machines, but I'm not sure that would be represented by a chart like this.  After all, mining on a pool, is like using a proxy.  You don't see who's hashing inside the pool necessarily.  Correct me if I'm wrong here...

And to think they've spent little/none of their own money doing so.

Not only that, some people sent in their FPGAs because they were so close/ready to ship, they "felt comfortable" accepting the trade-ins.

What's the source of that map/graph?
