I really didn't expect such poor performance from Poland. In the end, they defeated one of the favourites in the previous round by 90-87. Slovenia are a better team than France in the end so I was expecting another competitive game between Poland and France. But France dominated all quarters and won by an absurd score like 95-54. There was no player who got 10+ points at Poland. I wonder what was the reason behind their playing this much ineffective after fighting with everything they had against Slovenia. Every player at France scored points by the way which was like a dream for them. Yabusele was the most scorer with 22 points.

The final game is on Sunday and France are favoured by a 1.62 odd. However their job isn't going to be easy against Spain. Both of these teams were on the brink of being eliminated before. For example Spain also managed to eliminate Lithuania by OT. I expect a very close game here and we might see an OT as well. It has an odd like 8.60 which might be worth trying with some money. When it comes to the winner, I expect France to be the champions.

I stopped watching France vs Poland game after the 3rd quarter, it's too obvious where it is going.
They cannot find a good offense and the defense of France is too much for them, they were suffocated. A.J. Slaughter cannot get a window to shoot, not even a peek at the rim. He did great 3/3 outside shots in the first quarter but that's it, he is scoreless after that.
France soon realized Poland needed him to apply their plays so they pressured him to the extent that he won't even get a clean pass.

Lost my bet on Poland too, i thought that it would be a close game as that was a semi-final game but like you said the defense of France was too much for the Polish team and that ended their cinderella run.

I lost both my bets. Will try to win the last 2 games.

Who's your pick on France vs Spain mate? I'm more inclined to bet for France as their defense is more solid but this FIBA Euro Cup is very unpredictable so I may tail you on your pick hehe. I'm yet to win on this Euro Cup, lost my 3 bets already.

It's time for the final match. Both teams have not played very well this year, to be honest I don't know if I would have mentioned the names of these two teams if I had been asked before the tournament which teams would play in the final.
At the moment, I see the chances of both teams as equal, if this match goes with a close score until the last minutes, France may have a better chance of winning. In this tournament, they managed to win the match 2 times in the last minutes Smiley

Odds at over 2.5 seems pretty decent to me so I'm taking Spain for the Finals. They didn't make a lot of buzz or noise unlike those countries with superstars but I think they are the most resilient as a team in this tournament. I think they can handle the Gobert tower with good ball movement.
But the offensive end on France roster was fairly distributed as well, they're good on ball movements too. For me, I think France with healthy Yabusele, Gobert, and Fournier will be a difficult feat for Spain's national team to win this Final. They are a threat both on the defensive and offensive stuff, the recent win they have with Poland with that much deficit is something to be honest.

For Poland, the fairy tale is over. There were a lot of surprises in this tournament. France deserved the final with a little luck and a lot of effort. Now there is the Germany-Spain match and the other finalist will be determined.
Germany is showing great team play. Spain is a school of basketball. I am waiting for the Germany-France final with the support of the audience. May the best team win  Smiley

France destroyed Poland today with 41 points difference in the semi-final and that is just insane. Poland just shoted bricks at the board and just couldnt hit anything. I still cannot believe they knocked out Slovakia and today just got destroyed

Spain - Germany, what a great game, both teams were worth to reach final. But Sergio Scariolo is probably best coach in history of international basketball. Before tournament Spain were ranked somewhere 6-8th in power rankings. But Scariolo with this team without much talent reached another final. Today it looked that Germany took initiative few times, but Spain always were able to respond them
France - Poland, not much waht to say about this game, but win by 41 point in semifinal is a bit too much. But it was difficult to expect that team like Poland can overperform against elite opponents two games in 3 days.
Spain - France final, repeat of Eurobasket 2011 final, two classic European powerhouses. I don't really know what team I will support, probably I'll just enjoy final as neutral spectator.

For Poland, the fairy tale is over.
Not over yet, they will play for bronze medals. But even if they will lose against Germany, getting into Top 4 is achievement that nobody didn't expected from them

France is the first finalist, it wasn't surprising after they eliminated Türkiye and Italy. They were one of the low tier favorites and they are lucky that other big favorites got eliminated. Germany plays really good in this tournament. Spain also has a slight chance but I expect Germany - France final. It will be pretty interesting when we think about their national backgrounds. There is a good competition between them.
Before the tournament start we expected a different final, there is no Eastern Europe team in the final. No Dončić or Jokić. It has more European vibe though, no big NBA stars but Euroleague stars here. Just look at what Yabusele did. Fournier and Gobert's addition to the game was also important.

Yeah, France won Poland by 41 points and showed they deserve to be in the final of EuroBasket. As for the other semifinal match, there is a very close game. Germany was leading at the beginning of the 4th quarter, but it looks like Spain did not give up and took the lead 5 minutes before the end of the game. As a result, Spain won Germany by 5 points.
p.s.
So France and Spain will meet each other in the final.

It is going to be a quite interesting finale this time. As you've already said we are going to see a different team reaching the championship.

Poland are the most attracting team for me these days. They literally eliminated the biggest favourite which was Slovenia after Serbia were eliminated by Italy. The 2nd and 3rd quarters of the Slovenia - Poland match were really interesting and it was like Slovenia were coming back. Things would have been easier for them if Doncic played like he was in NBA. France had a big difficulty against Italy as they barely got past them after OT. They are really unreliable these days as they are hardly eliminating their opponents for two rounds. Poland have a great opportunity to make another surprise in my opinion but it'll be really difficult just as it was against Slovenia.

When it comes to the Germany - Spain matchup, I can say that Germans are one step ahead. Their shooters are in a great form recently. This was a huge help for eliminating Greece in the previous round. Even Giannis' high effort wasn't enough to prevent a loss by a 11-point gap. As a result I think of betting on Poland @4.10 and Germany @1.56 (OT included for both). 6.40 total odd is very tempting honestly.  Grin
Yes, it's tempting but the risk is higher too when you think about Poland being the underdogs and they are up against France who is not going to give it up that easy even if Poland is having a great night.
I think my +10 will hit but I am doubting the win. It's a good bet though if you are the high-risk taker type of a gambler.
Just for information, if Poland won by 11+ the profits are @14.94. In case it happens we know how much it is.

Luckily, yesterday I input a bet for Over 157.5 total score on Poland vs France. Now it changed to 158.5 with the same winning amount.

So, today we have both semifinals of Eurobasket. First game between Poland and France. Personally, I don't believe that Poland can make another surprise. France is very solid team with deep squad and unlike Slovenia, they don't depends on one player performance. Also, they have so much luck this tournament. But I expect that Poland will keep close most part of the game.
Germany - Spain. Hosts have great chance to reach final. Spain is understimated again, like usual this tournament. I refrain from predictions on this game.

Wow! I'm kind of speechless to this year's EuroBasket. Great games and full of surprises. Nikola Jokic and the Serbian's were my top favorite to win this year's tournament but they lost in the round of 16. And in the quarterfinals, I think 3 out of 4 were full of surprises. I forgot if Spain was the favorite to win over Finland. But 2 of the remaining 3 NBA superstars exited too as Giannis and the Greeks were dropped by the sharp-shooting Germans while Luka and the Slovenians were upset by Poland. The remaining top NBA superstar is defensive specialist Rudy Gobert although they were also nearly upset by the Italians.

I think I'll take a pass in the semifinals. The Germans are a slight favorite due to the momentum they are right now but I am not counting out the more experienced Spanish team. France is expected to win over Poland but the spreads are too unpredictable. France might win but maybe it will be another close one since all its victories after the group stage all went to overtime which is a little scary.
Same. All my favorites are gone and most of what is left are the teams that I missed watching their games.
So now, I am having difficulty with where I would put my bet in.  Cheesy
I mean just look at this.

The tempting bet for Poland. 11.50.
I may take it, I love underdogs making an upset. They are up against France so it's going to be a rough path to win it, especially with France record of going back even if they are down by a lot.
Poland is also at +10 vs France which I think can be covered. @1.69

They say lightning cannot strike twice. So Poland's luck might be over anytime soon. Cheesy

Good luck with your bet mate. If France's trend will continue then they may win but close which can be covered by that +10 spreads.  But I'm taking a pass in the meantime. I'd rather focus my bets on DOTA 2 where I got good wins so far.

I will be back in the finals. If France will win over Poland then I will take a bet on them. Spain is not the same without a Gasol and Germany's surprising feats and success might not be enough against the more experienced French team.

We're seeing surprising results, I never thought Poland would win the match. They managed to be the surprise team in this tournament, but I don't think they can win the next match Smiley

Poland beat Slovenia by only 3 points, and I would just call it luck. However, this result was indeed a surprise to everyone, and it is worth giving them credit because they were able to find a way to stop Luka. It is obvious that Luka's unimpressive performance was one of the main factors in Slovenia's defeat in this match. As for the upcoming match against France, I also think Poland is unlikely to be lucky again.

The luckiest team of this year, France, being lucky in the last 2 matches helped them to win the match. They won the match against both Türkiye and Italy in the last seconds, and now they are the favorite team to become champions.

Eurobasket will have new champions. Slovenia got eliminated by Poland, it's biggest upset in this tournament without any doubts and probably best achievement in Poland history. At one point Poland were leading by +20 points and I didn't believed in my eyes what I see. In 3rd quarter Slovenia made comeback and won it 24:6. They already took a lead and it looked that they will run away and will win it by double digits. But Poland didn't gave up and won game. Mateusz Ponitka - triple double, 26 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, you don't see it often in European basketball. It wasn't night of Doncic, just 14 points and fouled out in crucial moments.
So, 3 biggest stars, Doncic, Antetokounmpo and Jokic eliminated.
The biggest upset indeed, and Slovenia was also upset about the no-call by the referee on that last shot, he really thought he was fouled and that's why he threw the ball. If only Doncic was still on the floor there might be a difference at the end of the game.
Congratulations to Poland. A.J. Slaughter was slaughtering every defender by using his speed. It's a great way to break the defense of Slovenia.

Italy - France, what a game! Italy had chance to win without overtime, but Fontecchio missed two free throws and and later missed field goal on last attack. France in this tournament have not just lot of luck, but their players have big ball on decisive moments.
Semifinals - Germany - Spain and Poland - France.
I lost my bet here but that's just entertainment at its best that I don't even regret it.
France had the 1st half but after a good rest at halftime, Italy came back strong until mistakes and tension came in. This time though, they knew they are a strong team. Next tournament they will be back with higher confidence.

Did I hear it right, this will be his last season in Eurobasket.
Don't know, Scariolo expect that he won't retire after Eurobasket. He may be old, but is still clutch player.
We will see once the game ends. They give a ball at the end of the game for retirees, right?
