Tnoday I'm going with Finland win over Israel and Czech Republic win against Poland with price boost.
Easy opening game for Serbia, I'm going to look for points over markets there.

Where do we watch these games, is there an official website to watch the games for free? I only see the highlights on their website.
If local TV channels don't show Eurobasket, you can watch all games on https://www.courtside1891.basketball/ platform, but it's not free.

That's why it is exciting to watch, there are NBA players with their local and other naturalized teammates. And there goes the encouragement for each of team that has a teammate from there.
Personally I don't like at all these things with naturalized players. After all, it's national teams, not club. Now if team is weak at certain position, they simply hire some random American who have zero connection with that country. C'mon, now even Spain took naturalized player. I think that now only Serbia and Lithuania is playing with their own players only.
I don't know how these naturalized players thing have started. But almost each team have their own weapon for having a naturalized player, you've got the point honestly since it should be country per country's talent and players.

Well, as for Serbia and Lithuania, even having no naturalized players, they're one of the strong teams out there.

Where do we watch these games, is there an official website to watch the games for free? I only see the highlights on their website.

Most of these national teams have at least few NBA players, but level in Europe is high too, players get good money there. IMO, top Euroleague clubs would be contenders for NBA playoff spots.
True and many scouters from the NBA are taking their eyes at most times for the players of Euroleague.

What an evening in Germany. First - Nowitzki jersey retiremennt ceremony in soldout arena. And then very solid win of Germany against favorites France, Germany controlled game. Slovenia - Lithuania was amazing game with painful ending for me. We already had everything in our hands in 4th quarter but didn't managed to keep lead. As our coach said, we showed too much respect for Doncic. And our NBA stars Sabonis and JV were worst our players today.
Belgium win against Georgia looks like upset, but I already said that we can expect to see such result. Georgia don't have Shengelia, who is basically half of team.

It is fun for a person who likes basketball games but it kinda surprise me when you say that some of the players are well known already. Does that mean some of the players are from the nba? All the time I thought games like fiba are only for amateur and local players who doesn't have a name yet in this field but anyways, that was great as that can attract more viewers.
It's very ignorant comment, considering that in 4 recent seasons NBA MVP's is from Europe, Doncic is also contender to get it. Most of these national teams have at least few NBA players, but level in Europe is high too, players get good money there. IMO, top Euroleague clubs would be contenders for NBA playoff spots.

We have the final results of all of the matches today.

We saw two favourites like Georgia and France losing their matches. France's loss was unexpected for many people surely but I was prepared for it. Because Germany have been in a pretty good shape and they were a big threat to France also. Considering the individual performances, Yabusele (18 points) and Gobert (11 points, 12 assists) were the most impressive players of the match. But France couldn't get as much contribution as Germany got from the majority of the players. France were bad in especially the third quarter and they couldn't close that big point gap after that.

I was enjoying the game not until I saw some bad fingers caught by the camera. Pushing sportsmanship, that act should not happen.
Cologne Dome was mostly Lithuanian fans and it's great to see a big crowd supporting their team.
Lithuania did great, they are actually a scary team that could turn the game around any time. They gave Slovenia a hard time and there was even a moment I thought they will win it.

Slovenia won in the end although exhausted.  Cheesy Luka, not at his most promising nights at offense, dedicating his efforts thru assists.

EuroBasket 2022 in 4 countries will begin on September 1st. Here is the groups:

We will see almost all biggest European stars here like Doncic, Giannis, Jokic and others. It's probably strongest Eurobasket in in many years and it's a bit strange, considering that after change of format, Eurobasket lost importance and spots to Olympics/World Cup aren't given there anymore.
Main favorites according to bookmakers is Serbia, France, Greece and Slovenia. Lithuania and Spain also can be considered as contenders.
More details about tournament can be found on the official website:
https://www.fiba.basketball/eurobasket/2022
This is something to look forward to. Eurobasket ball, given much precedence at this point, makes me wonder about the catch. It has been a long coming, however, since the covid outbreak. This is one tournament to make Europe not be too concerned about the escalations in Ukraine and the effect of inflation. I look forward to France, Italy, and Great Britain as my team ride-or-die teams.

This will be fun. I may not be European but the names here are mostly the known players in the basketball industry. I will definitely watch their games and probably put some bets too if available.
My personal favorites will be Serbia and Slovenia. Luckily they are not in the same group but Slovenia is in a tough bracket with France being there and they are one of the competitive teams even in the Olympics.

So the last games that I saw were just qualifying matches. This will be the real game from now on.

All the time I thought games like fiba are only for amateur and local players who doesn't have a name yet in this field but anyways, that was great as that can attract more viewers.

This will also give us a hint if which team can score a win easily. We can then place a bet for that team and make a quick buck. A qualifying round is still a real game. Only the practice game is what you can call unreal hehe but the game should be intense now and more exciting to watch than before.
Yes bro, the NBA might have helped the European League to gain more audiences. But that doesn't mean I am discriminating or anything, I am actually glad that I have witnessed these players in the NBA. Now, I am a fan of more European players rather than US players.  Wink
I think it all started with Peja Stojakovic then Manu and Dirk, then right now Doncic, Jokic, Giannis, and more.
What I mean by a real game is, that it gets more serious, like playoffs or a Finals game. This is the time when they play even harder than the qualifying rounds.

I thought of a combined betslip with Turkey at 1.30, Slovenia at 1.58 and France at 1.44.

Turkey haven't been doing well in the World Cup lately. They lost to Serbia and Latvia in their last games. However I see this as an opportunity for them to rise again. They beat Montenegro in their last game and they are highly the favourite again.

Slovenia are already one of the biggest candidates to become the champions. Lithuania isn't an easy opponent and the last games between them are proofs for that. But I still don't think Slovenia will lose here.

When it comes to France, they are still very strong and among the teams being favoured to win the championship. However this is the bet I'm most afraid of. Because only a few days ago, Germany defeated Slovenia in the World Cup by a huge point gap like 19. France will need to play really carefully against them to have a good start.

Jovic won't play because Miami Heat didn't let him join national team, it often happens young NBA players. But I doubt that this year he would have big role in Serbia team.
Thanks for the update. I have no clue they denied letting their rookie play. Perhaps, they have some authority in that because of the contract.
It could've been good publicity for the young player.
So, first day of Eurobasket finally come. And on opening day we have big game between champions Slovenia and Lithuania. Slovenia is considered as favorites, but I'm backing Lithuania - I simply can't go against my country. Germany - France should be good game too, though I don't have doubts about France win.
Abit strange that after loss of their main star Toko Shengelia, Georgia is still favoured aginst Belgium, I think we can see upset here. Hungary - Bosnia looks not easy to predict, but anyway, both teams have minimal chances to get out from group.
4 games later in my timeline and the next to that is early morning (2:30 AM) France vs Germany.
It will be a bit of a problem in my time so I may be able to watch only one game and that will be Slovenia vs Lithuania where I also put my bet.
Sorry, but my bet will be for Slovenia here at -2.5.
Let's see, it should be an exciting game.

My main favorites is Serbia and France. They have good squad depth and lot of players in their prime. Slovenia is hyped a bit too much IMO. Greece - in previous tournaments Giannis weren't feeling that good in European basketball like in NBA, bt now it's already time for him to shine. My country Lithuania isn't one favorites for gold, but I think we have very good chance to win medal.
B is definitely group of death with Slovenia France and Lithuania. While Serbia got such easy group.
Cool. We have one common favorite team.
You're from Lithuania? Wow! One of the countries that scared the living shit out of top countries back at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. I can't forget that time because of the sharpshooters that emerged and performed way past the expectations of the viewers.

I was looking for the kid in the Serbia basketball roster that was drafted into NBA 2022 Draft pick number 27 Nikola Jović but I don't see him. Maybe they won't let him play yet.
There is a cool video explaining the groups, teams and rosters. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOJOOc7viZU - EuroBasket 2022 Is Going To Be Legendary!) I think it is a good video for considering how to bet on some teams. The Serbia roster is explained well also.

Fiba Eurobasket instagram account has a thing called 'Power Rankings'. (https://www.instagram.com/p/ChcCFE7tIJT/?hl=en) Turkey was at 6th position in the previous weeks but they lost their position at the first 8 after the terrible losses. Lastly, Latvia crushed Turkey and then Serbia also won in a clutch game. Still, I think there is potential in Turkey's team. Might have surprising results.

This will be very intense tournament. There are a lot of big contenders. For me there are 5-6 teams I would not totally surprised if they win the cup. This means we will have a great tournament to watch.

All brackets are gonna be fun to watch but I'm more for the group C.

Yeah, that usually happens, and sad to see that when they're not allowed to represent their countries. But it's also understandable since they've just signed up a contract and they should honor it.

My favourite team are Serbia. I'd like to say Greece but it really depends on how solid Giannis will play. Like some of you mentioned, this isn't NBA and maybe he can still have problems with having a good relationship with his friends in the roster and adapting to European basketball again too.
That's why it is exciting to watch, there are NBA players with their local and other naturalized teammates. And there goes the encouragement for each of team that has a teammate from there.

But it doesn't mean that they're guaranteed to win, it's like each team can kick each others asses.

After a five-year break we are again feeling the greatness of this tournament.  Smiley

In the EuroBasket 2017, Slovenia beat Serbia 93-85 and became the champions. Now both of these teams are among the favourites to win the title. Serbia are the most favoured one @4.60. While Greece and Slovenia are following them @5.00, France are right behind @5.50. The odds are really close to each other and I don't expect any other team to make a surprise too. Spain were the dominator of the EuroBasket in the past but now they have an odd like 15.00.

My favourite team are Serbia. I'd like to say Greece but it really depends on how solid Giannis will play. Like some of you mentioned, this isn't NBA and maybe he can still have problems with having a good relationship with his friends in the roster and adapting to European basketball again too.

Yeah, I'm from Lithuania. We always been underdogs in international competition and despite it we kicked out many strong teams. Though, recent years isn't good for us, we haven't won any medal since 2015 - it's way too long break for us.
