Also France won 4 years ago, and reaching 2nd place this year is a great achievement in itself.

Its actually not. France was playing to win the World Cup and not to mess around just for the 2nd play, they wasted the potential to be the back to back champion so yeah they felt frustated about it. On top of that, imagine getting 2 goals comeback in the first half then another one on extra time because Mbappe carried the whole team just to lose in the penalty shootout.

As a fans, I totally love the game though but it must have been frustated for the players
I personally feel their matches are very good and there is no impression to throw back to back because they have also worked as much as possible.
In the penalty shootout, they weren't too lucky with that, but in the penalty shootout, everything was fifty-fifty and we even know that Spain and Brazil lost to teams that weren't really seeded in the penalty shootout.
Moreover, this is the final burden for the kickers is clearly very large.

I will always remember this finale as being among one of the bests. If we didn't see that comeback by France it was going to be a really boring ending for a World Cup. Because Argentina were literally in full control of the game unlike the expectations. France were like they weren't aware of playing in a final game in the biggest tournament in the world.

However it feels like Argentina will miss these times a lot from now on. Maybe they will need to wait another 30+ years to achieve another title who knows. Because after Messi's retiring from the national team we never know how they will react to this.

Probably the best final of the last World Cup I've seen... France really managed to come back incredibly well and even almost won that game... 3-3 is a very big score for a game like this... Probably no one expected so many goals to be scored... In general there were many surprises in this Cup, for example, that Germany again failed to get out of the group, or that Morocco reached the semi-finals... The final was no exception...
If the comparison is over the past few world cups, maybe this is indeed a very good final, especially for the previous world cup, it wasn't as hot as this time.
Both teams put in a very good performance and I appreciate that. Argentina and France were neither willing to budge for 90 + 30 extra time and this truly deserved a final.

Not just the Final.  I thought the entire tournament had a level of hype I'm not sure I've ever seen from soccer in the US before.  I had friends talking about it that I had no idea even knew the World Cup existed.  People with no knowledge of soccer at all (not far from me) weighing in on their opinion of who the GOAT is based on this one game...  I'm not sure how I feel about it, but as long as soccer games don't start taking over my basketball games on the TV, I'm good with it.  I really enjoyed the World Cup this year and am curious if next year will grow on this showing.
I feel the hype because of social media. Football is not  widely famous in my country unlike basketball which is the most loved ball game in my country just like US but yeah I've seen couple of post from my timeline which is mostly my friends about football which makes me think that I'm not the only one who is anticipating the current world cup. I didn't have the slightest idea that my friends also knows football LOL. Sadly the next world cup will be in 2026 which is has a 4 years gap. This makes the losing team on worldcup very frustrating, They trained for a really long time to just see them get beated by other team.

Argentina won 2022 Qatar Football World Cup so that all football fans in the world are overjoyed like me. Messi is the best and I think the World Cup is well deserved for him. Messi is the indisputable greatest of all time. I'm happy that Messi has himself a solid GOAT argument. I'm glad that Messi won this cup before he retires. Congratulations to Loe Messi.
Leo Messi have always been the best from day one and he will continue to be the best player in history. There are big achievements added to his name and he's one of the most completed player in the history of football. Leading Argentina to glory in Qater is one of the memorable day in his career as a footballer, there's still time for him to lift other trophies but he have won the most important one for Argentina. Messi is the man trending everywhere with breakeable records at his feet.

Fun fact, with the win of Argentina (with Di Maria and Paredes) now juventus is dominating more than ever this leaderboard.

From the first half finance we are not playing to win Argentina because I did not have played France have failed to the extent that mbappe was not doing anything good in order to win Argentina from the way I'm seeing the performance of France in that much so it is obvious that Frank started making a very big step during the second half

About the future of Argentina after this year's game, I think they may not take many years to achieve another title because as most of the aged players will be retiring from football some of the younger players who have not been noticed will be given the opportunity to joining the national team and their performance will determine the time they will need to win another title.
Messi, Di Maria, and Otamendi may retire soon.
So, there will be a big change in Argentina squad without these 3 players. In my opinion, these players have a big role in Argentina squad, so Argentina will miss a big thing without them. Considering this, I doubt that they will win another title in the next few years. There are no players who can replace the role of Messi, Di Maria, and Otamendi.

There is no doubt about Kylian Mbappé ability and quality which he has done in this match but at the end Argentina won this match on penalties which is surely another chapter but performing while you are watched by more than a billion peoples around the world and having nearly 90,000 fans on ground is surely never been easy for any player French players done good job in regular time and in extra time but sadly on penalties they were unable to handle pressure and lost heir momentum which helps their opponents to win title after 36 years.
Of course, Mbappe showed a great performance. He even made Argentina almost fail to win the world cup trophy. Unfortunately, Mbappe was unlucky that 2 France players failed to score in the penalty shoot out. But he must be quite satisfied with his performance because he has tried his best until the end of the match.

About the second goal of Messi (3x2 Argentina at that time) being against the rules due some players of Argentina being in the field at the moment of goal
I was very confused and went to research more about the rules, after all it would be a huge mistake

I found out that the goal was legal because no player, who invaded the field, had any participation in the play.

It's very interesting:

I think at my age this is the best finals I have witnessed, to be honest, watching the first half of the game it was as if the France team already made up their minds to let Argentina take the trophy home but that come back from France changed everything about the game and that made the finals a spectacular one. It was obvious that Argentina was in control of the game and at some point, most people were nervous because their expectations became shattered due to the poor performance of France but in the end, the game turned out to be the real final.

About the future of Argentina after this year's game, I think they may not take many years to achieve another title because as most of the aged players will be retiring from football some of the younger players who have not been noticed will be given the opportunity to joining the national team and their performance will determine the time they will need to win another title.

I feel the same, this was a final of a lifetime, so much action and adrenaline during the whole match. France not really playing their full potential in the first half, only to bring the game into over time with Mbappe to score the two goals in less than 2 minutes. Getting the game into penalities always means a lot of randomness for the outcome, one missed shot can change everything. I am glad that Argetina won, had most of my money on them and Messi really deserved the titles. He has been playing football at the top level for so many years now and the titles was the only thing missing for him. The performance from Martínez was also insane, one of the best goal keepers there are. Also France won 4 years ago, and reaching 2nd place this year is a great achievement in itself. A bit sad that there is no more big games now to bet money on it. It's true that the team from Argentina is not going to look the same, Messi won't be playing again. So maybe in 4 years we can see France again on the top.

Actually, what Lionel Messi is getting now has also been obtained by Kylian Mbappé, he was even able to do that at a very young age. However, the problem with the title is that the championship does not depend on the personal players, but rather on teamwork. In the Qatar world cup final, Kylian Mbappé did his best, he even scored a hat-trick, and was able to equalize the goals with Argentina. But what he did was in vain when the other players were unable to score in the extra time penalty.

The player will not be great if the other players will not help him to become great. No player gets top scorer without good assists from his colleagues. Lionel Messi's first penalty was due to the persistence and ingenuity of A. Di Maria. But A. Di Maria did not take it upon himself. If A. Di Maria was selfish in this matter, of course Lionel Messi only scored one goal. Likewise with K. Mbappe's penalty goal.

Argentinian win was surely throughout team spirit and their coach is also doing amazing stuff for the last few years as they won Copa América and now world cup which is surely the greatest stuff but Mbappé impact is now also going to have more in future as he is also one of the greatest in this game.

oh my god what a match, i can only write now due to busy schedules but i haven't seen a world cup final like this in years.  I think looking back there are few finals as intense and full of goals as this, perhaps Italy-Germany.  This time Messi really deserved this cup.

Messi has indicated that he would like to continue with the national team. There is not much left for him to gain after the world championship victory, but he will still feel that he cannot let his country down now. There is much less pressure on Messi now that he has won the World Cup. Big disappointment especially for Germany, which I actually had seen as a title candidate. Argentina has also not had a very difficult route to the World Cup final. That has also been of great benefit. There is a small blemish on this team because they have had a lot of penalties.
Despite the difficult route , they are the one favorited by the bookies since the beginning ... that's just makes some of us thinks that the match been fixed lol , we knew it that even argentina lost to saudi arabia in the first match of the world cup and that time everyone starts ignoring the argentina favorite stats lol

Here they are coming home with the greatest trophy , the most prestigious trophy in the world.

You don't have to play great football to become world champion either. There have been more countries in the past that didn't play great and still became champions. Just think of the boring final of 2010 in which Spain - the Netherlands did not get further than 0-0. Argentina may have had some luck with the referee, but the penalties it has had are all explicable. You even saw people selling their houses to be able to attend this tournament. A very big party in Argentina, nice to see. But now you will have to arrange another house.
Argentina has won the world last in 1986,it has been a very long time and yesterday will not be forgotten by the Argentines as Messi led them through in winning the cup. Penalty is a game of luck any side can win and this was an advantage to the Argentines since Mbappe keeps on equalising back the goals. Messi remains the most achieved player than Ronaldo in different competitions. France wanted to win the cup straight two times but they were stopped by Argentina in the penalty shoot out. This I the most interesting finals I have ever watched in which not teams are playing seriously to win and scored much goals.

Messi done and dusted. The jubilation of the Argentina and Messi fans are awesome. But there is a wrong notion on Messi that, he is the best player of football in all time. How Messi becomes the best in all time? How many Copa America cups has he won? How many Club side Cups has he won? How many world Cups has he won? Messi is not the best in all time. But he was good in football. Even this last world cup of 2022 at Qatar, mbappe was the one who took the Golden Boot not Messi. And that golden boot determine the best player of the tournament.
You can't measure his whole life merit by last class result.  I think a great player doesn't just determine the Golden Boot.  Rather, Bellandio decides who is the best.  There is no trophy that Lionel Messi has not won.  You can never measure up to Messi with Mbappe's Golden Boot.  Yes, but you can say that Mbappe is going to be the best in the world if Messi follows Cristiano Ronaldo.

You know why France supporters make irrational arguments, that is because they are not happy else no one in their right state of mind would want to compare Messi's historic performance to that of Mbape. I can understand certain comparisons of Mbape to Messi when Messi was still around his age, in fact, right now, he has done some things that are better than young Messi if their ages are compared, but it is ridiculous to says he has the same talent as Messi,  let show the greatest of all time some respect.
