I think the whole world expected Argentina to win! for Messi, to crown an immense career full of trophies! to make him a legend. As I've always said he deserves it! it was the only trophy that was missing from his collection! I feel sorry for Mbappè who has already won a world cup anyway, and who in all honesty will be the next best player we will admire for a long time, given that the careers of CR7 Messi and Neymar are about to end

The most controversial world cup has finally ended.
I don't know if it was the best World Cup final match of all time but it was definitely a pleasure to watch. At least for someone who wasn't an Argentina or France fan. Their fans probably pulled all their hair out but for the rest of us it was a great game in which France managed to come back two times, but Argentina was better in penalties. Overall I think that Argentina deserved the gold medal because they really showed great performance in the World Cup.
It was a great final indeed and I think one of the toughest world cup finals in recent years. Argentina and France almost have same kind of strength in that game, having both teams played draws in both at the end of the 90 mins and the extra time too was something I found very interesting. I am very happy that my supported team won the World Cup and took the World Cup away from a strong team like France. And Messi's lifelong dream has come true. Because till now he was known as a famous player but he could not hold the world cup in his hand and could not win the world cup. But this year will be a memorable year in his life. He won the trophy from the World Cup todayargentina with messi and many other super players deservedly became football world champions 2022 .

France were totally played out of the game in the first 45mins. The Argentines gave them no room to play at all and dominated the game in the first half until the changes were made that saw Giroud and Dembele subbed, then France began to strive gradually. I loved how the french team reacted after the first goal and got the second to secure the game and take the game to the extra time.
Yes, indeed, the game of the French national team in the first half was something that was painful to watch and they really gathered only towards the end of the second half, but they needed to create and implement scoring chances in overtime, instead, for example, I saw a game at the beginning of extra time resembling the first half, alas.I have to say that for the first 80 minutes France played really badly. Argentina dominated really hard in the first 30 minutes of the game as France was almost capable of attacking as Olivier Giroud and Ousmane Dembélé were not playing that well.
When the coach brought in Thuram and another guy, they started attacking a bit more, and finally, when the coach brought in Kingsley Coman and Eduardo Camavinga in the second half the French squad was brought back to life and then the game became more competitive. But overall I have to say the two best players from the French side were Killian Mbappe and Upamecano.
Two goals in two minutes was the shocker honestly, the second goal got me shouting and screaming like a bvtch LOL.... If Oliver Giroud was in that second half of the game, one of those crosses would have been converted. Nothing to be sad about, first half was just too easy for Argentina but thing's turned around. But then, hard way is always the best way.
One thing that I highlighted in last night's final, I don't understand why Scaloni pulled D Maria in the 64th minute of the second half. since D Maria was pulled out, Argentina's attacks have relaxed automatically. that way, France could play more freely and arrange attack after attack, until they were finally able to equalize at 2-2. if, Scaloni doesn't relax his attack and doesn't pull D Maria. I am sure, the course of the game will still be controlled by Argentina until the long whistle sounded at the end of the second half.
But winning basically, this final match should be more exciting. a very tense match, until the penalty shoot-out drama. congrats to Argentina and Messi, they deserve it.

How can the Argentina coach pull out D. Maria in 64mins, was he thinking that Argentina has won the finals already? That was the worst change he made. The formation of France's players changed the moment D. Maria was removed and the fixture of new players in the match by France coach is what leads to the 2-2 draw.
