Secondly, if there is a disruptive player like Ronaldo in the squad, at least 2/3 of the opponent's defenders would be busy blocking Ronaldo. So Portugal coach Santos should have been smart and kept Ronaldo in the squad.

Thirdly I would say Ronaldo is very experienced. I agree Ramos is a great player. But on a big stage like the World Cup, experience is more important. And in terms of experience, the most experienced player in the Portugal squad is Cristiano Ronaldo.

It was really another big disappointment for England supporters. After 56 years they were closing in on the title slowly here. But they couldn't get past the France obstacle. England could have prevented the game from ending in 90 minutes as well. However the penalty Kane missed cost them this. I wish Rashford used that last chance free-kick more effectively like a passing organization.

I was expecting that kind of an organization actually after seeing how it worked against Argentina by Netherlands before. But he decided to take that huge responsibility and failed. His shot wasn't bad maybe but here we are.

England is has a great team when it comes to football, I don't think they are overrated, it is just that France is better, I don't know where you found the stats that made you believe that England would or should win against France, but from the odds in online sportsbooks, it showed that gamblers were betting massively on France, so I am personally not surprised that France won, from the initial beginning of the match, I expected them to win, it would have been a surprise to me if they didn't.
So for me, I don't think England is overrated, they are indeed good, but from all indications, France is better in football than England.

England has been dominating the match against england. That's why france deserves won against england in the last match. ENgland was not overrated team but it's not lucky enough against france. England has more bal possessions but it has very bad execution compared with france that used counter attack as a way to make two goals against england. England can do better if it can make some shots on target to be goals.
The problem is harry kane didn't give a lot of impact to the team. The way of counter attack by france is far effective compared with the domination from ball possessions owned by england.

Well i think the match yesterday was very very close and that France was just the luckier team yesterday and that was the only reason why they have won that game. France did not really have much chances to score. There was one header of Giroud in the first half and that was pretty much it. France scored their goal with a long distance shot and i think that Pickford should have saved that shot, but he didn't obviously. After that England was the better team and the penalty that they got was deserved and also the equalizer. After the 1-1 England remained the stronger team and was closer to the next goal then France in my opinion but then France again scored pretty much out of nowhere after a corner kick. England had another chance to make the equalizer but Kane missed the penalty, which is something that happens only very rarely.
So i would say that England was just pretty unlucky yesterday.

Why is this thing called strange because this is a surprise for us? I guess instead of calling these things weird I want to say they're amazing. being in a world cup with a lot of big teams in it they were able to make a real splash and even now getting to the semi-finals is really an amazing thing for them to do.

I agree with you a lot. Probably France and Argentina will play the final of this World Cup. Because these two teams look very promising from the start. However, there have been many surprising events in this World Cup. Therefore, there is nothing surprising if none of the two teams of Argentina and France go to the finals.
