It's a shame even though the USA players have made a comeback, they are too focused on attacking so the defense behind is fragile. If the score had been level, maybe the Netherlands would have had a different fate. But the mentality of the Dutch players is quite good, they even came out of pressure when they got an opportunity to attack and be able to score a goal. USA has achieved ball control statistics, they just need to be solid in building wider attacks. Pushing too hard into tight areas makes the ball break easily.

The early goal from Netherlands and that second goal just before half time, killed the morale of the team. The united entered into the second half with hopes of recovering, were able to get a goal back thanks to Wright, but Dumfries who created the assist for the first two goals from Depay and Blind, finally has scored taking the Netherlands goal to three and making it almost impossible for the United States to get an equalizer. Dumfries will be awarded the Man of the Match.

It does not matter who Argentina face they will always the odds in their favour except games against Brazil. But if we look at the Australian team and how they were able to progress from there group beyond all odds then we shouldn't rule them out.
