Yeah right. However, it seems that in the round of 16, South Korea will have to face the most favored team in this World Cup, namely Brazil. I don't even know what strategy South Korea will use when they face Brazil. Because overall the Brazilian team is really strong on all fronts. whether it's the back line, midfield and attack line. everything looks amazing.
But South Korea has so far been a surprise. they were able to beat Portugal which is also the team that is seeded in the world cup this time. South Korea has won dramatically against Portugal. but will this happen in the round of 16 against Brazil.

I really think that USA could surprise Netherlands today. Netherlands is a good team, but USA is playing surprisingly good in this tournament. If they continue to play like they did in the last three games, Netherlands could have problem with them. We will see. I'm certain that surprises will happen in the knockout round, especially since it's only one game that's deciding who will advance and who will go home.

On the other hand, Argentina should have no problem with Australia. Australia is good, but if Argentina plays like they are suppose to, it should be an easy win for them.

I also thought that Spain just decided to get rid of Germany this way, because after Morata's goal they almost stopped playing. In the second half I can't remember any dangerous moments in their performance.
And Germany should have conceded at the very beginning of the match, one or two goals, so that the Spain got nervous and scored not one but two or three goals at once and by the way, according to this game, it would have been fair for Costa Rica and Japan to win and then they left the group without Spain and Germany, but unfortunately, the fact turned out that the Spain framed Germany and "pulled" the Japanese team with them.

Group E was very bad for my betting. This world cup is happening quite excitingly as of now. Betting is also fun.

Congratulations to South Korea. They were better than expected. Although they have high class players like Heung Min Son, I don't think many people expected a lot from them. Their top 16 game will be very interesting to watch. They are one of the most intriguing teams of this tournament.

I will be happy in this knockout round match because no one is playing anymore with the score let alone fielding second tier players to compete, I will see a serious game in this round no more playing around, I think the united states will be defeated by the netherlands too Australia will be eliminated quickly by Argentina  

At the last moment South Korea reached the last sixteen of the World Cup after defeating Portugal in a thrilling match. The win equals Korea and Uruguay with 4 points and goal difference. Due to scoring more goals, South Korea got the knockout ticket as the group runner-up. Uruguay and Portugal would have been promoted according to the equation of Group 'H' but at that moment, Son Heung-Min changed the fate of Koreans. On the counter attack, Son Heung-Min took the ball from his own half and moved towards the opponent's d-box. Facing the situation alone where he was surrounded by a few opposition players, he passed to Hwang Hee Chan and it was put to good use. Through this, Korea also clarified its position.

well, many unexpected things have happened in the group stage, especially in Groups E and H. In group H, I was also surprised by the results of the match from Portugal vs South Korea. I really didn't expect that South Korea could win and qualify for the round of 16.

The Netherlands is one of the dark horse teams in this world cup, I have said this many times before the world cup started. The Netherlands came to the world cup in Qatar, with players who were not star-studded. even so, it is only natural that the Netherlands can qualify for the round of 16 because their opponents in the group A phase are not too strong.

As for what you said, that the Netherlands is better than the USA in terms of mentality and teamwork, yes that's true. on paper, the Netherlands is far above the US. but sometimes what happens in the field doesn't match the statistics they have. and yes, that's why there are several top national teams that have to fall in the group stage. talking about today's match, Netherlands vs USA. The Netherlands shouldn't have a big obstacle when they face the USA later. but what happens in the field later, could be the opposite. anything can happen, as long as the game is running.

What a week of football this was, especially the group E had me struggling. I had a small bet on Spain in their match against Japan only to see them lose the match 2-1 with a 83% ball possession. But why didn't Germany just play for a draw before winning to get pressure on Spain to win the match. If Germany had lost than both Japan and Costa Rica would have advanced. With group E I only lost money so far. At least Portugal and Switzerland both advanced to the next match so I could recover my losses. As for today Argentina vs Australia should be a very one sided match. Argentina should take the win home in 90 minutes without problems. As for the Netherlands vs USA match, I do think Netherlands is going to win but I am not sure if there will be overtime or not. And tomorrow France should easily win against Poland. Good way to make some small wins before the quarter finals.

Everyone was eager to see this match Brazil will win but it turned out differently. Neither team could score in the first halftime game. And in the second half time, the game continued in exactly the same way neither team could score any goal. But when the lost time gave 9 minutes just after 90 minutes to go to 92 minutes a goal suddenly happened and Cameroon's Aboubakar headed the goal and left everyone in misery. But later Brazil tried hard to repay the goal but somehow managed to.

Moreover, it is clear, we can see from the numbers that South Korea is bigger than Uruguay and thus, it is easy to judge that South Korea is more productive than Uruguay. Also, Uruguay was only able to score in the last match and it is clear that Uruguay is very weak, unless Uruguay wins 3-0 in its last match last night, then Uruguay will be the runner-up because it has an advantage with one goal if Uruguay wins with a score of 3-0.

In fact, apart from all that since the match hasn't started I doubt Uruguay, because previously Uruguay was the only team that had not scored a goal. Also, in this last match Uruguay was 2-0 up since half time and as a team that has a star squad, Uruguay should have scored another goal in the second half.
But yes, I personally am not too surprised even though Uruguay has Suarez, Nunez and Cavani up front, because it is often difficult for them to score goals when playing for the national team. But what's worse is, they still can't score a goal at a very crucial moment like this decisive match.

However, it seems that Serbia cannot reverse the situation and must be forced to return home early. But it should be appreciated for their hard work in the 2022 world cup. Hopefully they will find their best performance in the next four years.

Abubakar is widely criticized all over the  world in yesterday's match. This happened when he scored a goal against Brazil and defeated this superpower of football. If we look back 2006 Zidane scored a penalty in the World Cup final against Italy. He showed madness in extra time, Marco Materazzi was shown a red card. Zidane walking past the trophy on the field with his head bowed. That was one of the saddest moments in World Cup history.

Cameroon striker Abubakar reminded of Zidane's match by scoring against Brazil yesterday. I don't think it's the end for any lower rank team in this world cup because with all what i have seen so far, i don't know if it's football that is getting hard or their is no more fear on the inferior team when playing the tough opponents and this has also made gambling for me alot harder because after predicting the bigger team to win, what you get is just an opposite result.


Well so far this world cup has been a display of magical wonders and I won't be expecting anything less in this round of 16. The group stages have seen alot of unexpected wins for inferior teams and am also expecting same feat in this round so i won't be writting any team off the chance to win. It would be even more magical if Australia and the usa knocked out the Netherlands and Argentina.

Im sorry for your lose but you will always have another chance to win what you have been losing in the match between brazil against cameroon. I guess it's not only you but mostly of people were putting their bet into the brazil as a winner in that match consider from the statistic of brazil is still above cameroon in anything. Brazil will be facing korea int he knock out stage which can be considered as a very difficult opponent.
We have been seeing how south korea was defeating portugal by making its comeback. Korea can be considered as a team that is playing similarly with japan. The counter attack has become the main play style.
I guess the last 16 will be very difficult matches to predict by anyone.

It is a simple logic South Korea has more goals than Uruguay despite sharing the same points. South Korea scored a total of 4 goals in three matches which gave them  GF of 4 and conceded 4 goals a GD of 4 both canceled themselves leaving them with 0 GD. Uruguay scored only 2 goals in 3 matches and conceded 2 goals from Portugal giving them a GA of 2 and scored 2 against Ghana giving them a GF of 2. If both cancels Uruguay is left with a GD of 0. In summary South Korea has more goals than Uruguay that qualified them to play Brazil in the round of 16.

Serbia vs Switzerland these two teams didn't play very well. I saw Switzerland scored 3 goals in the match. I thought Serbia will score 3 goals to draw the match but Serbia managed to score 2 goals. Now let's see what Switzerland can do in the next match.  .I hope Switzerland will do very well.
