It's a great pleasure to see African teams actually scoring goals and gaining some points. It was predicted that Qatar would not go far in this tournament as the hosts they were at a disadvantage as this was their first experience in world class competition, but when Qatar scored and made it 2-1 there was hope because they played very differently against Ecuador. and also in the first half, but yeah Senegal could see the gap because the Qatar players were far enough away from the defense that the result was 3-1 but at least Qatar showed a change and the game was quite challenging in the second half. Senegal's victory reopened their chances of qualifying.
Yeah it's pretty sad to see the hosts get eliminated so early but that's because the preparation they did was not enough for this big tournament, it took time to be able to build a strong team and not an instant thing.

The Iranians scored at the very end of the game to beat Wales. Though Wales' morale is killed by the red card, Iran really played well.
