When visiting other people's countries, we will obey the policies and if not you will be sanctioned. Come on, like it or not, we have to respect Qatar's rules because they are a Muslim country, so for that I don't think there's anything wrong with those rules, unless you don't like tolerance.

I still don't understand why people are making a big deal out of the rule of this year's world cup. I understand that football is for all but kindly respect people rules and regulations. Don't come impose your belief on theirs, they have been existing before the world cup came into the picture. If you feel your right will be stepped on then don't travel, just stay back home and enjoy the world cup as must people in the world would. Put yourselves in their shoes and imagine someone coming to your country to impose their own beliefs on you, now imagine how you'll feel.

Let just enjoy football as this is a one in four years event and many of the fans won't be around to witness the next one so lets not spoil this one for them. The sad thing though about this world cup is that neither Ronaldo or Messi will get a chance of winning it again as only one or neither could lift the trophy this year. My country won't be playing at the world cup and that's sad although illybe pushing my support to Senegal and Portugal. Which all nations at Qatar the best.
That's right sir, we don't need to complicate the rules that have been set, especially regarding the beliefs of religious people and what Qatar has done has upheld its mandate. If there are still parties who think that these regulations are troublesome for them and become an obstacle, how can other countries not be too concerned about this?

Every country is now difficult to predict, although I think there will be dark horse countries that escape. Although many favors Brazil, Argentina, France, and Portugal, maybe this moment will be a little different. It is feared that the weather factor which is quite extreme can affect the condition of the players because they are not used to Qatar's weather.

All the points raised here are interesting and I asked myself that question too: will we get some answers as to how much of a World Cup can be bought? We will get the answer after the group stage, but it would be insane if Qatar would make it to the next round. Sure, if they convince on a professional level in sports, that is of course what we all wish for. But I think at the same time a lot of people around the globe would be very suspicious.
I think if Qatar wins only the first match against Ecuador, then no one will look into whether Qatar bribed the opponent's players or won honestly. However, many people will really get suspicious if Qatar somehow takes first place in Group A, thereby beating the Netherlands. In any case, let's hope that those rumors about bribing players aren't true.

We know that Qatar is not a strong team. Even then I wouldn't be at all surprised if Qatar could qualify for the next round. The main two strong teams in Group A are Netherlands and Senegal. It is expected that these two teams will qualify for the next round. But the Senegal team is without their key player Sadio Mane. And I don't think Senegal will do well without Sadio Mane. And so Qatar has a good chance of qualifying for the next round with home advantage. Also, we have seen in almost every World Cup that the home teams get a bit more advantage.

Wait a bit, why is everybody voting for Germany to reach the finals? Maybe I am missing something but I don't think Germany is that strong this year. Is majority here really putting their money on Germany? They do have to proof something after the last worldcup getting knocked out so early, but not sure how far they are going to go. Why is France or Brasil not in your list? They have much higher chance to reach the finals than Germany, Spain or England. As for England and Germany they seem pretty equal at the moment as they played a tie in their last two matches against each other, I think their chances to reach the finals are equal.
I worry a bit about the whole worldcup with the first match of Qatar against Ecuador, what happens if the match will be a 1-0 for Qatar? Is this going to be proof that Qatar bought the win by bribing players and what is going to happen aftwards. Can Qatar be kicked out of it’s own worldcup or is betting on the matches not valid anymore? So far there a lot of bad news coming out for the worldcup.

This first football world cup will be held in Qatar for the first time in a Muslim country. However, the stadium has been built at a huge cost, which is twice the cost of other stadiums that are suitable for playing.

Just one more day left so our World Cup will be first opened on 20th November. But in this World Cup celebration, we all will enjoy the game of our favorite team. And everyone has their favorite players and will enjoy playing them too. Everyone is invited to watch the World Cup football game from today only waiting time.

Today the biggest news was alcohol sale is banned at at the stadium
People are already worried about this ban.
If this is some true news, it will be discouraging to some individuals to travel and because of this, some of them who know that they cannot watch the match live while with their bottle of alcohol, will decide to just stay back at their homes to just watch the game, lesser expenses for them. I can't tell exactly how many people watched the last world cup live, but these kind of news spoils it all.

As a simple example: if you have a rule in your house that guests are not allowed to sleep in your private room, then if it is violated, will the guest be punished? not much different. We have diversity and Qatar's rules existed before the world cup.

It is a big deal if beer is being denied to football fans. And let's not forget the fact that Budweiser is one of the sponsors for this world cup. They paid big bucks for the sponsorship rights. Previously Qatari officials had stated that they would make beer available within the stadiums. They went back on their word, two days before the start of the tournament. Anyway, serves the FIFA right. Next time they should think twice before allowing such stone age nations to host a major tournament. For the fans, my advice is to watch the matches on television. It is not worth to travel to Qatar at this point.
Qatar is a religious country with several rules that are governed by Islamic laws; they have to retract their statements because they are hosting a world tournament that will accommodate people from all over the world, so in order to satisfy and keep the competition lively, they must go with the majority choice, which is why they have to retract their statements.

Not only alcohol, but the country will not tolerate many acts involving homosexuality and lesbianism. I believe it is not appropriate to impose such strict regulations, even considering that they are hosting a world tournament.

We hope that Sadio Mane can help strengthen the Senegal squad, but conditions have forced him to give up the desire to help his country in the WC. Senegal when making the announcement regarding Sadio Mane also did not expect it to not happen, but they believe there will be other players who can give a good role to the Senegal national team.
Have official confirmed about Sadio Mane can't participants in World Cup due injured although ever his name in the squad list for Senegal national team. Sadio Mane is favorite player for Senegal and seems most disappointed lately have loss him just one week before World Cup begin.

Senegal will face host Qatar in the inaugural match of the 2022 World Cup, with Mane's absence slightly changing the composition of the players, especially on attacking line, I don't think with  Sadio Mane absent make Senegal have weakness because still have several potential player can replace position leaving by Mane.
Yes. Before the official announcement from the Senegalese FA regarding Sadio Mane failing to travel to Qatar because he did not recover according to the target, Sadio Mane was said to be flying to Qatar with his colleagues to strengthen Senegal.
After the official announcement, the Senegalese front line consisted of Ismaila Sarr, Bamba Dieng, Keita Balde, Habib Diallo, Boulaye Dia, Famara Diedhiou and Mame Babe Thiam.

The Senegalese Football Federation doesn't want to gamble with Sadio Mane's injury for his future as a footballer.

it's funny to me that this is a big deal, what is alcohol going to bring or add to the world cup ? Absolutely nothing, it probably would reduce some crazy acts from drunk people and that's it, I think it will run just fine in Qatar without alcohol, it won't affect it at all.
We need to remember that a soccer match at the end of the day is nothing more but a form of entertainment, so while having a beer at the stadium or not makes no difference at all, at the same time if a person cannot have the fun they want watching their favorite sport then is it worth it to spend all of that money to go to Qatar, pay for an overpriced hotel room and tickets for the game? In that case they may as well remain home, pay only a fraction of the cost and drink as much as they want with their friends and obtain way more fun.

I'm not sure it will affect ticket sales. not all football fans who come to Qatar are people who will consume alcohol in the stadium. no alcohol, but still have cola or other drinks. but to be honest, I'm sure the news of the ban will not have a big impact on the fans who come to the stadium to watch the matches of their favorite country's teams.

Yes we all know that one of the best stars in the football world is Ronaldo. He is one of the greatest football stars yet till date he has not won any title for his country. However, in this year's World Cup, Portugal has many good players, if Ronaldo and all the teams can perform well, then there will be many opportunities to win the World Cup.But we want Ronaldo to win the World Cup this year.

To be honest, I also want to see Cristiano Ronaldo become world champion. He is a great football player and deserves the title of world champion. But it became known a few hours ago that Manchester United are exploring ways to terminate Ronaldo’s contract at the club without compensation. I think this incident will have a negative impact on Cristiano. Or vice versa anger and motivate him.
If Ronaldo is able to bring Portugal to become world champion then the trophy he has is complete. Ronaldo shortcoming is that he has not become a world champion during his career in world cup events. By the way, his problem with Manchester United, I think it will at least have an impact on his calm factor, but I hope he is really focused when playing in the world cup later. maybe if we look at Ronaldo age, he is now 37 years old, this could be the last time he will defend Portugal in the world cup because it is possible that in the next world cup he will not be called up again due to his old. Will Ronaldo be able to make a big contribution to Portugal or will he fail again?
We know Ronaldo is a very popular football star in the football world. Ronaldo is a popular figure in all of us. But many still don't know that he is one of Portugal's greatest stars. However, despite being such a big world star, Ronaldo has not been able to win any title for his country. Here is Ronaldo's biggest defeat. However, there are many opportunities for Ronaldo in this World Cup and Portugal have produced many good players. Let's see if Ronaldo can gift his country in this World Cup.

I have also read this and lets hope it isn't true but guess we will see on Sunday; it might be possible as Qatar has the money do it. Might be interesting, just for fun, to place a bet on the final score (1-0).

"Regional head of British Center for Middle East Studies alleges Qatar bribed 8 Ecuador players $7.4M to lose opening game of 2022 FIFA World Cup"
Source

Hope it's fake news but I expect everything from these people. The process of giving the World Cup to Qatar was already dubious enough. Now it makes perfect sense that they offered money in the opening match so as not to be disgraced with a humiliating score. Even such a possibility is enough to cast a shadow on the tournament. I hope it's not true.

@MailSport #WorldCup2022

The process of transferring the rights to host the World Cup was not dubious but corrupt. Everyone recognizes this.
As for this leak, I would rather believe in it, but these details about the exact score and the time when a goal will be scored are very doubtful. I doubt that it is possible to conduct the game so well by planning everything in advance, since the fact that it is fixed will be obvious to all observers.

but there is always some truth in every rumor and i would trust qatar and its football association as well as their members with a lot. unfortunately, you can achieve a lot with money (with the people who need it more) ... greed eats brain
this will be the most corrupt tournament ever and actually i was always for the underdogs in such big tournaments but the wish that qatar will be eliminated from the tournament so quickly and without any chance or will not make it through the group phase was never as big as now

just my 2 sats

Argentina have become of of the most feared teams in football currently, they have a team with lots of world class players including Messi and other top players. They also have a formidable attack that scares their opponents and make them wish not to be drawn with Argentina in any competition. On this note I expect Argentina to keep a good performance and progress to the semi finals.
Yes, I agree with you!
Argentina has always had a competitive and dangerous team, and I have no doubt that there are chances for Argentina to win this World Cup. (Although, France also has an interesting and quality team, which in my opinion will also have a chance to win this cup)

Another team that I've been analyzing lately is Belgium, as incredible as it seems they have good players!

I may be talking some nonsense, but if Belgium manage to maintain this consistency of their performance and gain more experience, I have no doubt that they can go to the finals of a world cup or even win a world cup
