No, I am convinced that that would not impact him negatively. The guy has achieved too much and he went through too much trouble that this could now become an issue for him. Keep in mind that it is even in his own interest if the contract gets terminated.

As for the world cup I think that from that perspective both Messi and Ronaldo deserve it. For me as a soccer fan Argentina vs. Portugal would probably be the best final I could ever dream of for this world cup as it is probably the last time we will see the two competing for the biggest trophy that's out there. They have met on all stages, so maybe we can become witnesses to another last duel between them.

and yes Mane will certainly be absent from the Senegal national team during the 2022 World Cup considering he just underwent surgery to repair a right fibula injury, and of course this news will be a big loss for the Senegal national team during its inaugural match against the Netherlands which is not an easy opponent.
