Argentina have become of of the most feared teams in football currently, they have a team with lots of world class players including Messi and other top players. They also have a formidable attack that scares their opponents and make them wish not to be drawn with Argentina in any competition. On this note I expect Argentina to keep a good performance and progress to the semi finals.

Honestly it's not really a "missing piece" type of thing because many people miss the chance to win a world title unless they are from a nation that competes almost most years. Brazil for example, if you are a superstar from Brazil then you may have a chance to win the world cup during your career, but Portugal is not like that. Hell Messi faced the same thing, dude won his first cup ever with his nation just recently, because his team wasn't that good. I assume that there is nothing that Ronaldo or Messi would lose if they end up retiring without winning a world cup, they would love to win it, but it would be fine if they don't.
For this, of course there are some regrets, but if you look at some of the things they have done, in fact they have also tried harder from the start so that this World Cup will indeed be like that.
They are the goats, but this is only an individual thing and to become a champion in this case, it is not enough with just one person, so no matter how hard they try, when they are still not accompanied by team performance, it is clear that this becomes difficult.

Just seen they backed out having beer served at the games.  Kind of weak bailing at the last second, it kind of comes with the territory.  They are gonna miss out on a lot of money not having beer sales, which induces other sales.  The fan centers where beer is gonna be served is gonna be out of control lol.

Can they come up with these last minute changes in the tactics? I know that Qatar is a Muslim country and beer is not allowed in their religion but then why they allowed beer in the first place. I think FIFA will take action on this as most of international visitor will be needing the beer while watching the match and they may not feel good about this ban.

Coming to the matches, the first match will be played on Sunday but anyone knows when the opening ceremony for this world cup will be held ?
Which popular artists will perform in this world cup and what is the exact time of this opening ceremony ?

maybe it will be more than what you mentioned, Argentina will step into the top party for now, because Argentina's game with current players really shows a team, all players are almost evenly distributed on all fronts, both core players and reserve players are all equally good , and this has shown that Argentina is very ready for the world cup this time, and even though it doesn't win it may just be unlucky, but hopefully Argentina wins not because of luck and indeed Argentina's game deserves to win
But I see that some Argentine defenders are not strong enough to face countries that have strikers who are thirsty for goals, that's what Argentina has to watch out for because many football observers think that Argentina's weakness is in their defenders, that's what they will do. take advantage of by other countries, to bring down Argentina, because many attackers have fast runners, who always rely on their speed in chasing the ball, seeing from the players the Argentine defender does not have the mentality of a fighter for 1 on 1 and does not have speed in running, at least the Argentine coach can anticipate the weaknesses of their defenders, because they still have time to improve as much as possible..
Argentina definitely lacks on the defence compared to their offense but they have such an amazing offense that if they get scored 3 goals, they could return it with 5 goal scoring and could still win the game. That’s their method, they may get scored on, but they score more than the other team to win.

Some teams are great on defence, and they rather play by not getting scored, which allows them to either win or draw, Argentina is not like that, they play for the ball, and that means they score so much that they don't even care about defence, and even have their defence lined up pretty far ahead to start the possession from further down the line.

There are only two days until the World Cup, and Qatar has put forth a lot of effort to ensure its success. Making thoughtful accommodations and security arrangements is not an easy task, however, as I recently saw in a video of the Poland team being escorted by an F1 fighter jet. I wish all the players luck. Players like Ronaldo should just retire he has made name already.

I was having a random discussion with someone at along the way and he said he's seen news of Qatar involved in corrupt act before the world Cup against Ecuador which is to be held on Sunday. That they paid some big money to seven players of Ecuador to rig the match and game, can any help me share a link if this is true, I would love to read the full gist on it. Checking the odds it's on the side of Ecuador which means they should win if they don't involve in corrupt ways

This news can’t be disregarded if at all Qatar ends up wining the match. But there’s no proof to back up this claim yet. We all know it will be disheartening for the host nation to lose on their first match but going to the extent of giving bribery to win a match is totally bad. The odds are in favour of Ecuador, they have the players to win this match for them. It will be hard for them to lose this match seriously, unless that claim of the news is true, for them to give in to Qatar winning the match on Sunday.
Even if qatar wins that does not mean the game was rigged we see underdog teams win all the time, just earlier today belgium team has lost to egypt in a friendly game and they were heavily favourites it seems that Qatar are having bad publicity because there are some restriction on this world cup due to the country relegion.

To be honest, I also want to see Cristiano Ronaldo become world champion. He is a great football player and deserves the title of world champion. But it became known a few hours ago that Manchester United are exploring ways to terminate Ronaldo’s contract at the club without compensation. I think this incident will have a negative impact on Cristiano. Or vice versa anger and motivate him.
If Ronaldo is able to bring Portugal to become world champion then the trophy he has is complete. Ronaldo shortcoming is that he has not become a world champion during his career in world cup events. By the way, his problem with Manchester United, I think it will at least have an impact on his calm factor, but I hope he is really focused when playing in the world cup later. maybe if we look at Ronaldo's age, he is now 37 years old, this could be the last time he will defend Portugal in the world cup because it is possible that in the next world cup he will not be called up again due to his old. Will Ronaldo be able to make a big contribution to Portugal or will he fail again?
Ronaldo may have not lifted the world cup trophy for his home country Portugal, all throughout his football career but this world cup is the last chance that Ronaldo has to create that record before retiring from football even though he did not achieve this, he will still retire in peace after all Ronaldo is already a world player and that alone is still a big precursor Ronaldo.

Ronaldo will give his all for the team despite this being his final tournament and the fact that he won't have a club again. One of the favorites to win the title is Portugal. And I think UTD will regret what they did to Ronaldo. Ronaldo wants to see man UTD progress, thus he risked his career in the club to speak out about the facts he brought up in the interview. This is his firth world cup, and he won't play in any more. I anticipate Ronaldo to demonstrate to the world that he is still game-ready.
I am not sure if Portugal as a team is good enough to with the Cup. Yes, this year they lost to Spain and Switzerland only (6W 2L 1D), but in general I would not bet on them. Other teams they played in 2022 were not very strong.... Nigeria? Turkey, Macedonia... Yes, it is Ronaldo's last chance, but I am not sure it will be enough. Yes, it would be a great happy ending, but there are other teams too.
I think they will win the group, but then no more than one more game.
Portugal is surely not good enough to win the world cup as they are not quality team like we have France, Argentina and Brazil but still they are capable of having chance for reaching into last eight even this is going to be last world cup for Cristiano Ronaldo, but expectations are not high like we have for Messi and Argentina their team combination is also in talk as they are good but still missing few things which can break their depth for last four.

I have feeling after some controversy about Manchester United we can expect good performance from Cristiano Ronaldo because he will try his best for achieving good result because right now it's all about him and his career which is surely going to end at Manchester United, and he needs new club which is possible just in case of his good performance.

At the end of the first half, Portugal is leading 2-0. Bruno fernandes scored two goals. But one was from a penalty chance. Bruno's performance was quite good today. But today I wanted to see Ronaldo in the squad.
Well Brunos performance has just been that, nothing much from his performance at Manchester United. He's taking the game with some worth seriousness and still acts like a captain on the pitch, even though he isn't the one captaining this match with Pepe on the pitch  but his goals have definitely given Portugal the edge and Nigeria have done very little to offset that. The best attempts so far fir me is the one from Moses Simon in the first half and a later trier by Samuel Chukwueze in the second half.
With this sort of performance, Nigeria was definitely not ready for the world cup and Ghanaade very certain of it in the qualifiers.

Portugal's performance in the World Cup will depend entirely on Bruno and Ronaldo. There are also several talented players in the Portugal squad like Bernardo Silva, Pepe, and Ruben Dias. And they perform enough well in club matches. However, Portugal's match strategy is mainly centered on Ronaldo. This is what we have seen in the past. And if that's the case this season, I don't expect much from Portugal. Portugal's squad is strong enough this season, if the bond between the players is good, Portugal will definitely not disappoint their fans in this World Cup. I would say Portugal's performance will largely depend on the skill of their coach Fernando Santos.

We know Ronaldo is a very popular football star in the football world. Ronaldo is a popular figure in all of us. But many still don't know that he is one of Portugal's greatest stars. However, despite being such a big world star, Ronaldo has not been able to win any title for his country. Here is Ronaldo's biggest defeat. However, there are many opportunities for Ronaldo in this World Cup and Portugal have produced many good players. Let's see if Ronaldo can gift his country in this World Cup.

There is many rumours turning in social media about Qatar and the main reason is that some people and even politicians don't appreciate to see Qatar succeeding to run this version of World Cup, starting from the corruption claims, human rights and the deadly incidents that happened in the working places due to the heat, and for political reasons. The problem is that these are just claims without solid proof or impact which make them useless..
It would be nice to highlight such bribery, how Qatar would transfer the money to many Ecuadorian players without any entity in this world noticing? I find that weird personally, imagine the sanctions that will be made for these traitors and for the Qatari team? Banned forever from the World Cup?

My favorites for World Cup 22 are Argentina, Brazil and France. But according to my observations, the bet on the favorite usually loses. Holland has a big chance of winning. Louis Van Gaal is in charge of the team and he will leave the post of coach after the World Cup. The Dutch football players will give at all for Van Gaal.
Of course the Netherlands has a bigger chance to qualify in the group phase. Because in group A I think Netherlands is more experienced than the others. We can see this based on the results of the fight for tickets to enter the 2022 world cup. The Netherlands got 23 points and 10 matches.
But L.Van Gaal's team is also having a bit of a problem, there are players who have been injured. This will be our concern also in the opening match later.
Currently only Denzel Dumfries is still having problems but it is still not confirmed whether he will still be in the Dutch squad later or not.
However, Van Gaal still has other options, actually if this player doesn't have Blind who can be used as a wingback there or maybe Jurrien Timber can still be used as another option, which actually has performed quite well at Ajax.

We all know how things works in these big organizations so no one can stop this corruption because greediness kills minds, and then we have things like these which are going to happen in Qatar as they are changing rules by their own without any resistance and ignoring many things which are surely important for soccer fans foremost the timing of event all members were aware about this weather situation, but they not talk about this and event is happening secondly human rights violations were also at their highest level but no one care about this same many things like these were happening but FIFA and their members were not talking just counting money which were coming from Qatari officials in their deep pockets now with just less than 48 hours left things still uncertain how this will be completed and is there any other controversy waiting for us or no.
Regardless of whether the issue of human rights is true or not, I think the appointment of Qatar as the host for the 2022 World Cup is full of controversy. Become the first edition of World Cup held on middle competition begin and several player from European competition doesn't have enough time take recovery and almost them just have one week time with their national team. However, it was a little surprising that voters agreed that Qatar would host the 2022 World Cup even though the match schedule was changed usually habit play after all league competition ended and this time World Cup edition playing on middle competition and have postponed one month later.

Talking about human right issues and make many ex football player want to boycott I see have politic side based on many rule not allowed in this World Cup like alcohol, lgbt and many kind have been habit in football not allow at World Cup in Qatar.

The Netherlands has become a runner up specialist in the World Cup, yes they always end up in the final and can only be runners up, they have recorded this 3 times. In 2018 they had to be absent and did not take part in the World Cup which was held in Russia. Now they are back on the scene and ready to be big challengers in the race for the championship. They are in Group A with hosts Qatar, Senegal and Ecuador. They themselves are the favorites to qualify as champions in this group A.

but there is always some truth in every rumor and i would trust qatar and its football association as well as their members with a lot. unfortunately, you can achieve a lot with money (with the people who need it more) ... greed eats brain
this will be the most corrupt tournament ever and actually i was always for the underdogs in such big tournaments but the wish that qatar will be eliminated from the tournament so quickly and without any chance or will not make it through the group phase was never as big as now
I support your idea Cygan that a suspicion is very close to the truth. I still remember how a corrupt case that occurred in 2015 involving a number of high-ranking officials so that Sepp Blatter who served as president fell from office and the investigation continued to the 2022 World Cup.

In a neatly crafted bad scenario if true. FIFA President - Gianni Infantino, at the meeting of the leaders of the G20 countries in Bali Indonesia said Football unites the world. If later after the World Cup in Qatar it is proven that there is a case like the one we discussed, then the appropriate sentence is not football unites the world, but money can rule football.
