It seems that the bookmakers consider Kane and Mbapee to be the favorites. I tend to agree with them. But I am very surprised that Lewandowski is not among the favorites. This is a very short tournament and to become the top scorer it is usually enough to score 5-6 goals and this is easy to do even in the group stage (especially if you have Saudi Arabia in the group).

and I also think that they do not consider benzema is something very strange, for me benzema should be the favorite, he will score many more goals than mbappe in my opinion, of course it will depend on whether the coach will play benzema for the whole time without substitute for him, but if you try to play regularly then he will score a lot of goals, just for laughs:

Benzema arrived in this modest car for the internship that France is doing before the World Cup

Benzema has a problem this season, so I would rather agree with the bookies. But the main reason for my agreement is that Mbappe is very likely to be a new murky project according to the Messi scheme - he will be credited with all the merits of teammates, endlessly awarding Ballon d'Or, etc. This is business. Big brands are needed in business and Mbappe fits this role very well.

Honestly, I expect Argentina to pass to the next stage with 9 points.

They classified in the South American conference with no loses at all, and it's an extremely competitive conference. This group should be pretty easy to win for Argentina.
It is very possible that Argentina will qualify for the next round with 9 points, especially since Argentina came to Qatar with an unbeaten record in 35 games.
I have seen several games played by Argentina including the last match when they beat the UAE with a score of 5-0, there is nothing to correct from the appearance of the Argentine players. All of them played very well and were able to close space to prevent players from the opposing team from occupying their defensive area.

Mexico, Poland and Saudi Arabia are the opponents that Argentina will face in group C. If measured in terms of the quality of the players, Argentina can miss all the games in the group phase with a win.

Argentina really gave other countries to avoid them from meeting in the last 16 later, at least yesterday's trial match made Argentina satisfied with the score they achieved, it was a big win for Argentina in the trial match, of course that would be their benchmark for dealing with  his opponent..

Maybe what Argentina has to watch out for are Poland and Mexico, because these two countries will provide resistance that will make it difficult for Argentina to have big points in Grub C, I hope Saudi Arabia, can provide fierce resistance for Argentina, so that in grub C there are really grub that don't  in the eyes of some people, in order to provide an interesting spectacle, for ball connoisseurs.

I think all of these favourites may lose today because the coaches won't field a main squad ahead of very important games.
Any body that was selected for the world cup to represent their country deserved their spot in the world cup team and were selected based on their recent form and fitness. Because it is just eleven players that can feature at a go, only eleven will have to play, it doesn't make the other players less special. The team may not play intense football  so they don't get injured, but a win is important to raise the morale of the players entering the world cup and they know the importance.
The players they brought to the World Cup were the best players in their country. I agree that not playing and being the first choice in the line up will not reduce their privileges. It also depends on the coach's strategy, which players he chooses to apply the strategy on the field. Players who are ready and understand the coach's instructions will be in the starting eleven line-up that will be deployed in the match. I think that only being chosen to go to Qatar will make the players very happy, even if only as a back-up player.

Group A: Holland, which is visibly the strongest country and Ecuador in second;
~~~
I am not sure about this. Netherlands maybe the strongest team on paper, but the Group looks very tight. Ecuador is a quality team from the CONMEBOL and then we have the strongest teams from AFC and CAF (Qatar and Senegal respectively). Given the fact that Netherlands has suffered a few upset defeats in the past, a repeat of the same can't be ruled out in Group A. I agree with you for the prediction on most of the other groups, perhaps with the exception of Group E. For me, it will be Spain and Germany.
At the moment the Dutch are in very good shape in terms of games and it shows when qualifying they are playing very well and now is the right time for them to restore the form they have lost over the past few years with the condition of the players who are quite capable now.
For Ecuadaor and Senegal I struggled quite a bit with picking them because in any case they look a bit equal right now and hosts Qatar are the last choice in this group.
Switzerland, in my opinion, is more worthy than Serbia, where they currently have players who are quite reliable in every position on the team, so far they have performed quite well in the game, and have been able to compete with Spain and Germany in the last matches.
Meanwhile, the Swiss team led by Murat Yakin in the last 15 matches won 7 matches, drew 4 matches and lost 3 matches.
not easily beaten by Serbia or Brazil.
I think Switzerland should be considered in terms of player stats and match history.
I too believe in Switzerland more than Serbia, it's always hard to beat Switzerland , their soccer is not the most beautiful, but sure it's efficient and very defensive, and like Serbia, they are used to face European teams.
There's some possibilities to Cameroon too, but unfortunately they didn't do well in last matches.
My bets for this group are:
1st - Brazil
2nd - Switzerland
3rd - Serbia
4th - Cameroon
If any of them manage to get a draw with Brazil, it's half of the path to classify in my opinion.
I don't think easily for Argentina can earn maximum with 9 points at group stage with strength national team opponent like Mexico, last match winning from UEA I don't think serious because weakness opponent for Argentina and both team try to play safety take care their player without get injury few days later for World Cup. I think Argentina will faced difficulty lead first standing in group C, have opportunity for Mexico can dominance and not forget with Poland have Lewandowski and make little surprise for Argentina.
The winner in group C will opponent with runner up in group D and seems if Argentina qualify to next round with 1st standing position have chance easy opponent, likely in Group D France national team easily can lead first standing position.
But on the other hand Serbia is a surprise team in my opinion, especially how seeing them in qualifying by beating Portugal which made Portugal in the Play off at that time was impressive in my opinion.
btw in today's Friendly Match, Switzerland also lost with a score of 2-0 to Ghana which made M. Sure have to make a better scheme today, especially since this can also be said to be the final preparation for the world cup.Even though their performance in qualifying was almost the same as Serbia's, with the current conditions, especially in today's friendly match, they were not very good in defense, to be honest, I was a little doubtful.
The World Cup is just by the door step and different players are set again to make name for themselves in Qatar..
The world will host alot of countries and it will be the ground hole for so many awards to be the given out this season..
Players from different football league are going to Qatar to represent. and with the stats currently  in ground is that the  premier league has the list of most players to appear in the World Cup. The reason for this is coined down to the fact that the premier league is currently the most competitive league in the world withholding top notch player from around the world .
It is not surprising that the Premier League is the league that has contributed the most players to the World Cup because the Premier League is the most popular league at the moment. The level of competition there is so competitive that it is possible for the country to summon its players who are in the Premier League. From a mental perspective, I can also say that the players in the Premier League are better than the current league.
Yes, everyone knows that the English league is the most popular league and there are many great players playing in the English league, but unfortunately with so many players from abroad playing in the English league, not many English players have developed and are unable to compete with international players. . from the outside, even though so far there have been many great players from England, I hope the English national team can talk a lot in this world cup, but to get to the championship I think it will be difficult for England, and the semifinals are probably the highest that England can do in this world cup
Well, Dani Alves was great for his not the easiest position of right-back, is still in such shape, it certainly costs a lot.
Although in the Brazilian national team quite old defenders, which is strange in general, but I`m not worried for Dani Alves.
I feel every team needs one or two old players for the experience and discipline it brings to the team, it will also motivate the younger players to perform better. Brazil's coach Tite has done that well, Thiago Silva for example is playing every week in his club Chelsea, so he deserves a spot in the squad, and i believe he will play regularly in the center of their defense with Marquinhos or Eder Militao, Thiago Silva may be 38 years, but he is still a geat player and professional, and Brazil are lucky to have him. Dani Alves is not playing as regularly as T. Silva, and i feel Tite has included him for his experience, and for backup to Danilo, i don't feel he will play too many matches. Brazil have a great squad, i want to see them in the final.
Saudi Arabia is better than UAE but these two teams overall level is below Argentina one by far. Argentina shouldn't have difficult times to pass its group without a defeat, they might get a draw but I don't see one of the teams in that group able to beat them.
I even expect +3 goals vs Saudi Arabia.
Few days left from the first game and we still hear about serious injuries in some teams during the training sessions!
My prediction for all groups that should qualify in the first stage is:
Group A: Holland, which is visibly the strongest country and Ecuador in second;
Group B: England, one of the favorites to reach the finals, followed by the United States perhaps;
Group C: Argentina for sure and Mexico in second place;
Group D: France and Denmark
Group E: Spain, which is one of the favorites in this cup, and Japan, which is also a very strong team.
Group F: Belgium and Croatia
Group G: Brazil, obviously. Followed by Serbia in second place.
Group H: Portugal and Uruguay
Switzerland, in my opinion, is more worthy than Serbia, where they currently have players who are quite reliable in every position on the team, so far they have performed quite well in the game, and have been able to compete with Spain and Germany in the last matches.
At group G on the paper Brazil will almost be certain to qualified to the next round and for runner up position probably will belongs to Switzerland or Serbia but it's hard to choose which team is stronger between them and i think these teams had equal chances to qualified considering both of teams were unbeatable during world cup qualification matches especially Switzerland that their captain Granit Xhaka which is Arsenal player are quite confident he can bringing Switzerland qualified to round of 16 and he is in the good shape after help Arsenal get first position on premier league
Cameroon probably the weakest team in this group so if want to qualified Switzerland and Serbia should be utilized the match against Cameroon to gets full points moreover Cameroon preparation to faced world cup doesn't so well because after can gets 3rd position on African Cup Cameroon performance were decline even from 4 latest friendly matches Cameroon was failed to win
I have seen that there have been some Pakistani supporters starting to appear in the World Cup recently. It is because of not showing the stadium empty and it is said that these "supporters" are earning some money from this situation as well. I'm not surprised with the emptiness now because there are still a few days for the tournament to start. Besides hotels in Qatar are very expensive at the same time. People have to pay insane amount of money for even one night. Therefore I understand why people aren't rushing to go there earlier.
Still I think FIFA's action about this situation is wrong. Why would you use this kind of tricks to show a stadium full? People know what they are doing now anyway so this is pointless.
I just browsed the profiles of the Mexico national team players at the FIFA World Cup. and I was a little surprised when I found out that Alfredo Talavera (one of Mexico's goalkeepers) is 40 years old now. Doesn't that mean that Alfredo Talavera is the oldest player in the world cup this time? i think it's awesome.
and finally I also find out if there are other players who are older than Alfredo Talavera. but it seems that only Alfredo Talavera is already 40 years old. But actually there are 4 other players from different countries who are almost 40 years old. like
- Atiba Hutchinson (Canada) is 39 years, 9 months old.
- Pepe (Portugal) is 39 years, 8 months old.
- Eiji Kawashima (Japan) is 39 years, 8 months old.
- Dani Alves (Brazil) is 39 years, 6 months old.
I really appreciate these players.
Well, it's easier for a goalie than field players to maintain longevity in the game.
I'm glad that Alves and Pepe are in the lineup. Pepe of course is not the most pleasant defender and person, but in defense he is a wall. A man with character, every national team needs him.
Well, Dani Alves was great for his not the easiest position of right-back, is still in such shape, it certainly costs a lot.
For sure Argentina will progress to the semifinals or even the finals. Their unending wins in the qualifiers and friendly games shows that they’ll pose a serious threat to other teams in this tournament. They’re well prepared and have a team that can create chances, convert these chances and defend their wins. Not just me, but a lot of football fans has tipped them to win this tournament as they’re the favorite to do so.
Argentina is our favorite team. and I hope they can smoothly advance to the semi-finals and even to the final. however, it looks like it won't be easy even though Argentina has had a very impressive record in recent years. the reason is, Argentina has not shown anything in the world cup that will be held soon.
at least, Argentina must go through phase by phase first and maybe in the last 16 round later. Argentina got a very tough opponent, which might stop their progress to the next round.
we should not take it lightly, France, Germany, England, Spain and even the Netherlands. all participants who will compete in this world cup, will show their best game by playing all out. and yes, Brazil is the most favorite candidate to win this tournament. only a few days left, the world cup will be held soon. so, let's wait and see.
Their winning record should be maintained by playing other teams and moving on to the next round. So far, 36 matches without a loss is a magnificent achievement. If Messi lifts the World Cup trophy, the world will be delighted. Although they must earn it by winning match after match on the pitch. Argentina is the potential champion, so all eyes are on them. Those people deserve to win this World Cup, they deserve it. Here's hoping their dreams come true. Although we can't narrow down other possibilities, the least expected team may win this year's world cup.
Argentina are one of the favorites to win the world cup, so the group phase is not a thing to them, it is easier for them now that they are in a very easy group, but even though they were in a stronger group, i still expect them to quality from it, only that they may not be able to do it with maximum points. The Argentine players have been talking about going to 'war for Messi', and that they are ready to give everything they have to make sure they win the tournament for Messi and for his legacy, that is going to give them some boost, and we will probably see Argentina in the final, my dream final is actually Brazil v Argentina, if this match happens, the entire world will stop for it for 90 great minutes.
Atiba Hutchinson is a Beşiktaş legend. He only took time in the last game this season, but last season he played in most games and had a very good season. He was going to retire football but extended his career for another season to play in the World Cup. I think he will do good job with Canada. We can say that he is the most national player and national hero in his country.
Pepe also had good seasons in Beşiktaş, then he returned to Porto. Dani Alves is another great player who has proven his quality over the years. Players who take good care of themselves can play football for many years. That's what it's like to be a professional. I hope they all have a nice World Cup before they retire.
