Yes, it happened unexpectedly, Ronaldo was a football player that many teams wanted to see in their squard, but this season has changed everything, he cannot now score goals as before, and most likely he will not become such an important player for Portugal at this World Cup as it was before. EA predicted correctly the last 3 world cup winners, 2010, 2014 and 2018, and according to that prediction, Argentina will play against Brazil in finals

When you look at his statistics, a big drop in his game, especially in the number of goals scored, this season is obvious.

I don't think Ronaldo's performance has really dropped, I think he hasn't been lucky with the Manchester United squad since this season. At least last season he carried the club on his shoulders and saved them from relegation. The only issue Ronaldo will face is his decline in pace due to age factor but if well feed with good passes i trust him to do quality finishing

I also enjoy Christian Ronaldo's games, but recently Ronaldo's have dropped drastically compared to when he was much younger, actually when he started at manchester united and also real Madrid later going to Juventus he also played well, coming back to man u now his performance have dropped but even at that Ronaldo is still a legend and playing at the world cup I know he will do his best.

We have fancied Brazil to take home the trophy from the very beginning and nothing through the tournament will suggest that any other side can match them in terms of quality. The only issue that could see Brazil falter is their defensive capabilities, which may give the likes of Mbappe and France the opportunity for goals, but in the end Brazil will have too much firepower and will take the title in a World Cup final for the ages.

I don't think that anyone can say that a certain nation will win the World Cup because it's impossible to predict it. A nation can have the best players, but those players can too have a bad day. And if that bad day happens on the knockout match day, everything is gone.

How about Brazil, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, France, they also have players who cannot be underestimated, of the 5 countries I mentioned have experience and even have the most World Cup trophies from the two countries I have listed in Above, of course this will be a World Cup match that is highly anticipated by many people, who knows who will come out as World Cup Champion this year, at least we can't draw conclusions about Argentina to become champions this year, but is it possible Argentina, can? conquering these countries, because the countries I mentioned above already have a good record in this relative World Cup..

Of these teams that you mentioned, I believe that France is the team most capable of winning the Cup (even with some injured players)

In game form, yes Argentina squad is stronger than Portugal squad. they played very solidly as a team, and we can see that based on the impressive record they have in 35 games without losing. Messi and his colleagues were able to bring Argentina to become CONMEBOL finalists. they have very strong chemistry and bonding when compared to Portugal or France, even though their team is not as star-studded as Portugal and France.
Argentina 2014, is the best in terms of depth of the players. Argentina is currently more capable even though it doesn't have many big names filling in every line.

@Lordhermes Speaking of the French and Portuguese squads, if we refer to their data and statistics on the Nations League. Portugal has the names of qualified players, especially with those of France. however, the depth of players they have is not supported by impressive performances and results.

Brazil, is one of the most favored challengers in the world cup this time. they also have a depth of players that are no less great than France have, and yes Brazil is the strongest candidate in this year's world cup.
