Is the issue still ongoing regarding the situation in Ecuador? In the qualifying match, they had drafted a player who was not eligible to play, and this would be investigated. An appropriate punishment would then be devised on the basis of the investigation. Would FIFA go far to exclude the country from participating in the World Cup? I don't understand why they are only now coming up with this, that incident had already happened a long time ago, didn't it? Italy would then take the place of Ecuador, which is understandable in itself because they are reigning European Champions. If that is the case, we will have a nice group with the Netherlands, Senegal, Italy and Qatar. All 3 countries are not happy with that of course, since Italy is then the favorite to win the group. I think Ecuador will get a different punishment. Exclusion from participation would be very harsh intervention.

The first appeal to FIFA was denied. Now they are presenting the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which is the last and most powerful option.

Whatever they decide is final.

So, in theory there is still a chance for a change in the world cup just before it starts.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will hear the Chilean football federation's appeal on Nov. 4 and 5 against the decision by FIFA to allow Ecuador to play at the World Cup, a source close to the case told Reuters on Thursday.

A decision is expected by Nov. 10, days before the World Cup kicks off on Nov. 20 with Ecuador scheduled to take on hosts Qatar.

So we will know in about a week what's the final outcome of this whole saga.

Well that's sad for many fans especially those who got use to alchol during the matches. There might be alchol in hotels with some limitations but still not inside the stadium to prevent some things from happening and sort of images. Even female fans that use to dress very inappropriately will be banned from doing that too i believe. But for some stays not a bad thing and for Muslim families it's a good thing. But what matters is this great event to pass well and everyone enjoys it. Real fans will enjoy football specifically no matter what

The issue of dressing isn't supposed to be an issue if the ball was to be watched by certain group of people, ers say the Muslim, but this is a game been watched by almost all football lovers and the location Qatar is a big set back as most people expected to be in attendance are youths with different dress behaviours.
Since this match isn't eternal, I'm sure there are people who really wouldn't mind any of the requirements just to make sure to be live at the stadium to watch the match.
The aspect of alcohol should be reconsidered and if I have a way to suggest, I will suggest alchols should be allowed but in covered packs.
Many issues surround Qatar 2022 mostly because of the host's religion, but I don't see this as a major setback. FIFA must have considered a lot before giving them the opportunity to host the world cup, and this would be under some conditions in which FIFA would bend some of their rules and the same goes for Qatar too.

Perhaps, the world cup would fully start before we can conclude about what happens. I heard there would be some secluded places to drink and have fun. Even if that doesn't exist, the main goal is football, and I don't think they would deprive them of quality meals too Smiley.
Qatar absolutely wants to host a successful World Cup in their country. They want to show and ignoring the complications though it is a Muslim country, the World Cup can be managed through proper solutions to various complications. They have provided all kinds of facilities for foreign tourists but they are also requested to follow certain rules and regulations.

Qatar has eased the requirement for the corona vaccine to benefit foreign tourists. Corona certificate is not mandatory for anyone in Qatar World Cup. Qatar expects one and a half million tourists in the Qatar World Cup to be held from November 20 to December 18.

In my country (that isn't Muslim) alcohol isn't allowed either. Not because of religion but because of hooligans who doesn't come to watch the game but to make trouble. I'm not sure since when alcohol isn't allowed but I would say 20 years minimum. And guess what? No one is complaining. People are used to drink non-alcoholic bear at the game.

Yeah, but I'm sure there will be issues.

I mean, you're not even allowed to kiss or hug your girlfriend there. Lots of unmarried couples will be there watching the games, and good luck if you're not straight there, straight to jail!

Then who is to blame, because this is FIFA's decision in choosing the relatan WORLD CUP in QATAR, even though they know Qatar is a Muslim country, then why has this issue just been raised and discussed, because the decisions and preparations are completely ready 99% will take place this November.

I think it's too late to talk about this or want to boycott it, like it or not we have to accept the decision from their government, because the regulations in that country have been around for a long time, so it's also impossible, if the regulations are abolished in a Muslim majority country..

Shiiiiit! I never thought of that. That's terrible! So no pictures of semi-nude female fans? What will photographs at the stadium do? Take pictures of football players? Noooo....

Fans are spending thousands of USD from their hard earned money, and in return they are being threatened with monetary fines, prison terms and even beheading. If something bad happens to any of the fans, then FIFA will be responsible for it. Back in 2010, when Qatar was granted the hosting rights, FIFA officials claimed that fans will not face any difficulties during the tournament. But it turns out that Qatar went back on those promises, perhaps boosted by the huge amount of money which they are receiving currently from their LNG exports.

Well you could say the same for buying drugs which is illegal in all countries (I'm not counting marijuana). People are spending thousands of USD from their hard earned money and they get thrown into jail because of that. If something is illegal, it's illegal. It doesn't matter what a visitor is used to in his own country.

regarding the dress code for women who want to watch the FIFA World Cup match in Qatar. actually not that difficult. non-Muslim women from abroad do not have to wear a hijab to cover their hair. they can still untangle their hair without having to cover it. the important thing is to dress modestly, namely clothes that cover the shoulders for clothes and wear skirts that are below the knee. so even short shirts can still be worn there, safe not tight and still covering the shoulders. related to regulations drinking alcohol is only allowed in certain locations. such as the FIFA fan festival venue at Doha's Al Bidda Park. and also in several other places such as hotels and others.

Only one month left for 2022 world cup to start, i must say i have big hope that it going to be most of successful version of it this year in Qatar with all the money they spent and the cool features of the stadiums and hotels. Beside we saw new players this year shining and they are going to represent their countries and play with full power. This version i must say that Brazil has more chances to win it but let’s wait and see and enjoy
We all can't wait to see the biggest football competition in the world. Yes, this is the time we have been waiting for for quite a long time. There will be 32 countries that will compete in Qatar and for sure they will show their best game. This is one event that will unite as all eyes will be on the World Cup. I want to see the creations of each country in welcoming the World Cup this time.

Well, the expectations for this World Cup are very high, in each World Cup we expect it to be much better than the previous World Cup, that is something that cannot be denied, knowing that all the teams that are going to participate are the best, we could see that the teams that are here now are the strongest in each part of the world, many were close to being here, but the ones that persevered the most and that some were also the strongest, we could also say that there were some teams that accompanied the Good luck, everything is here, some think that the teams arrived with a low level of football but in the World Cup I hope they give their best, that nothing stays with them when they say they lacked to give.

Talking about this topic of tradition and habits, I believe thebmost people already knew that several things could happen, because Qatar is a Muslim country, such as its customs related to religion.
I'm not criticizing the Muslim religion, but in fact they are extremely strict on several points.
I don't know if this will actually be the first and last world cup in Qatar, because they are extremely strict, especially in religion and beliefs

Yes, it is as you say, for me Qatar is a country that has its beliefs, its religion and that is something that must be respected, as a person who does not belong to that country I could not go to impose rules, if things there they do not accept certain things, that is something that must be respected, the religions in some countries are very radical and for them it is everything, so if they are so radical one cannot expect anything less, the people who go there have to adapt to their things, that includes religion, beliefs and everything that must be respected, I know that in Qatar things are very legal, and they are quite methodical, that is something that everyone must respect.

I checked the odds from various sportsbooks and Germany doesn't seems to be one of the favorites. Brazil and Argentina are ahead by a big margin and then France is a distant third. Spain is another country that is being regarded as favorites along with England. Other than any of these five countries, I don't think that anyone else is having a realistic chance of winning the world cup this time. Italy has failed to even qualify and teams such as Belgium, Netherlands are not in good shape at the moment.
Seems with performance at qualifying group stage and Brazil most success national unbeaten all games have favorite sportsbooks for winning at World Cup Qatar and under have Argentina. I don't really excited with CONMEBOL countries have chance to win World Cup after Brazil most long term become the winner at 2002. Seems European national team most favorite to win although not have in the list of sportsbooks like France or Germany.

Left 26 days later to watch World Cup and most excited how atmosphere with Qatar based on their domestic league not any excited from fans watching at stadium.

Well, there is no denying that Brazil is one of the favorites, just like Argentina, but this is something that can be taken as a simple prediction, I know that the European teams are quite strong, and in a competition like the World Cup from Qatar somehow play very well, I know that when comparing their performance in the Nations League, or another competition it has not been seen very well, but this is something that can change, and taking into account the World Cup qualifiers those of Conmebol The qualifiers are very tough, that's why Mbappé's statement about the qualifiers here fell so badly, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Qatar is a Muslim country and you cannot drink alcohol or involve in activities like strip clubs publicly. This may be done hiddenly to some extent but there are some restrictions and the visitors have to comply with the local laws.

But does this mean Qatar will not attract visitors during the FIFA world cup ? I don't think so because those people who travel to another country to watch matches are more interested to witness a football match and least interested in things which they can do in their own country. In hotels, they may get all the facilities but not publicly.

I came across this headline today El Ghazi to switch allegiance to Morocco from the country he was playing which is Netherlands. I don't know him, but I want to ask is, why is this even possible? and what is stopping other players from switching to play for another country? Since the motive is clear that is just because of the world cup that he is abandoning the country, he was playing for to want to play for another country. If there is support to this rule, how many times can a player switch the country they are playing for?

Paul Pogba and Kante injury is a major setback for the France National Team. Losing two talented midfielders is concerning. I hope they recover quickly or that the coach quickly finds a suitable alternative for the team.

I want France to win the world cup again since they are my favorite team in this tournament.

We have confirmed news that Paul Pogba will miss Qatar 2022. There is still some hope regarding N'Golo Kante and Mike Maignan. And there are rumors that Raphael Varane may also miss the tournament as a result of injury. France is not short on talent, and I believe that they can replace players such as Pogba and Kante with Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga. But with the latest news, I don't consider France as one of the top-5 favorites to win the world cup this time around. They do have players such as Benzema and Mbappe, but the team balance is not there.

From what I read on the news, there is almost no chance that Paul Pogba or Kante will play in the world cup.
Regardless of the fact that France is a very strong national team and they could put together two very good national teams, this is a big handicap for them.
In Russia, they became world champions because they had the strongest midfield in the championship, solid as concrete, which no opponent could break through.
France will still be weaker in Qatar and the question is whether they will be able to repeat their success from Russia and fight for the title again.
I think their chances will be much less now.

There will be a special policy implemented for visitors to the World Cup in Qatar soon. Approximately 1.8 million visitors will be welcomed, the vast majority from western countries. During the World Cup, Qatar has specific entry requirements and instructions, so here's what you need to know. If Qatar makes the events successful, the whole world will appreciate them.

Yeah, reading your post remembered me that I read something about that few days/weeks ago. I think that fan corners were mentioned and in that corners there would be no strict policy about alcohol and other stuff that is illegal in Qatar, but legal elsewhere. The problem is when fans get out of those places and starts behaving in a way that's not acceptable in Qatar.
