Sadio Mane injured for about a month, no world cup for him and Senegal chances of doing something down the drain. I am sure big Bayern victory yesterday was enough for him to be happy about...
This is very disappointing and heartbreaking, I doubt that Senegal will be able to cope without him, he is a very influential name on the pitch for them and I was already seeing a situation where it is possible for Senegal to go past the group stages. But with this new development of Sadio Mane injured and out of the world cup, it is still possible they qualify, but their chances have been greatly reduced. This news of him not playing will affect the morale of the national team squad, Senegal was the African team I was supporting to go far in the world cup, without Mane, Cameroon has my support.

Sadio Mane injured for about a month, no world cup for him and Sengal chances of doing something down the drain. I am sure big Bayern victory yesterday was enough for him to be happy about  Grin

I am expecting a lot of strange results in this last week before WC, with top players missing out or playing with handbrake.

I also heard about that news or rumor just now. As far as i know it is only the L`Equipe that reported that as of now so it is not officially confirmed yet by Bayern Munich, Mane himself or his national team. If it really would turn out to be true then it would be a huge low blow for Mane himself and an even bigger one for Senegal as a country. Mane really is a national hero in his country and he is far more than just a great football player for his fellow countryman. So i am pretty sure that Mane himself would be devastated if he could not participate in the WC this year. He is 30 years old and in his prime. It would really be a shame.
I am quite sure it is legit. Bayern played yesterday and Mane got injured early, he was unable to continue and was substituted in minute 20. His facial expression was quite dire and I belive that possibility of missing world cup was in his mind immediately.

I hope he pulls some miraculous recovery but not counting on it.
It is confirmed that Sadio Mane has been injured, which is circulating everywhere. As a result of an injury he sustained during Bayern Munich's game on Tuesday, Sadio Mane will miss the World Cup. Senegal football fans would be devastated by this news. With the amount of games they have already played, many players are going to miss out. There have been injuries here and there as a result.

There is no news regarding this from Bayern Munich or the Senegal football team. In my opinion, he won't miss the World Cup. His strength allows him to survive quickly.

For now, Lucas Paqueta and Richarlison are only on the extended list of football players for the World Cup, and whether they will actually perform depends on their health condition or recovery from their injuries.
From what I have read on sports portals, it seems that Richarlison's injury is more serious and his chances of playing in the World Cup are much less.
Likewise, it is still possible that until the start of the World Cup, another player will be injured, in training or playing friendly or preparatory matches for the World Cup. You never know what can happen.

It looks like the gambling was carried out by Brazil coach Tite by bringing Lucas Paqueta and Richarlison are in the named list for Brazil national team to World Cup, despite have bad statistic for Richarlison without any goals contribution for Spurs in last 9 games seems he still in recovery from injury. I don't think have enough time for Brazil both player can health when World Cup begin. Actually absent several weeks for his team have impact for player its self and they need time recovery how back to top perform.

But have been final decision and my favorite player Firmino not yet in extended list player, whatever later if all named list Brazil national team get injury still not have chance for him back to national team.

The thing is as a sports body, FIFA will also have to look for ways to bring in money. And I am okay with the World Cup being hosted in any country as long as it is not rigged. And I am okay with Qatar hosting the World Cup because they are a rich country and probably with the World Cup. They will be able to improve their situation in football. I do believe that this is just a standard about earning money but at the same time, I honestly believe this will bring people to Qatar who actually loves football.

Multiple parts of your statement are wrong. First of all, Qatar didn't won the hosting rights in a fair manner. Back in 2010, Qataris openly bribed some of the poorer members of FIFA (especially those from Africa and Asia), in order to get their votes. And I don't think that hosting the tournament in that country will do anything good for the sport of football. The fans are also facing a lot of issues, due to the local laws on alcoholic drinks and unmarried couples. Just a few days to go for the start of the tournament, and we still don't have any clarification on many of the issues.

You can't say that hosting the World Cup will not bring anything good for the sport or football of Qatar. If nothing, it will bring new stadiums. The question remains how will they use those stadiums. For example my country hosted the world cup in handball and it resulted in many new arenas. The problem was that after the world cup there was little use to majority of those arenas because some had capacity for 30.000 people, but handball is not a sport where that many visitors come to see the game. Similar thing could happen in Qatar because football is not that popular there. But I'm sure they will make some use of those stadiums. After all, they are far richer country than my is.

You can consider both able to play the matches, otherwise brazil's coach wouldn't choose them.
They probably had a conversation, took some exams and they will be able to play.

And you're right, there's always possibility to have another injury player and need to call another player, this is not rare in Brazil, almost all cups there's always a player who gets hurt, Daniel Alves in 2018 for example.

Qatar have made every arrangements in a much organised way. Qatar have understood the global need of the people and have made big changes. When it comes to accomodation it have already made more vacant space to accommodate through purpose built house, tents, Airbnb accomodation, and anyone can avail accommodation based on their financial ability. Even few cruise ships were involved in providing accomodation for the visitors.
In current world while you have money then you can do every thing which is possible for anyone so same happening here in Qatar as now we have less than two weeks for starting this one of the most controversial world cup in soccer history because too many allegations and problems, but things are covered by power and money with they are still saying this could be one of the best world cup things could be not easy for visitors because of their domestic laws and Islamic culture just because of this mostly chances we will not have too many enjoyments from Western fans.

But now one thing more we have this last world cup with this format as now in next world cup which is going to play in three countries Canada, USA and Mexico we will be able to enjoy with 48 teams and better environment in 2026.

The thing is as a sports body, FIFA will also have to look for ways to bring in money. And I am okay with the World Cup being hosted in any country as long as it is not rigged. Qatar World Cup is now at our doorstep. Everyone is just counting down the days to the start. Football in every country has created a mood for the World Cup in Qatar. From hoisting the flag of their favorite team to different types of banners and posters in the cities and villages of different countries, football fans have started doing so. In fact, the football world cup creates an excitement in every football lover. All football lovers are confident about their favorite team and hope this time we will see a great World Cup.

I don't know how it's like in other countries but in Croatia our national television usually makes a documentary familiarizing viewers with the country that is hosting the World Cup. This year was no difference but unfortunately I didn't have time to watch it. But in the past those documentaries were pretty good and one could learn a lot about the country.
I always thought Croatia and some of the countries of the former Yugoslavia were good at football. Especially recently Croatia played in the World Cup final against France, which is already a very cool result. By the way, Luka Modric will also play his last championship for the national team. He too can be considered a legend, on a par with Ronaldo and Messi.

As you can see, there's a lot of attackers, I'm pretty confident Brazil will finally play at the best level as everyone expects, not focused on defense, but with strong attack.

I think I'm more confident now to bet on Brazil
I was going to comment on the official lineup that was defined for the Brazilian team, but you were faster than me @rdluffy lol

@Daniel91, when you and I were talking about some possible players that will not go to the Cup, the official list just came out.
And it's true, Lucas Paqueta and Richarlison will defend Brazil in this World Cup.
I just don't know if they will be 100% recovered from the injuries they sustained.

I don't know how long it will take for the football record made by Ronaldo and Messi will be broken by another player cos they both made a remarkable history in football.

This is exactly what I used to think sometimes when I begin to look back at the records set by Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Actually, any player that will be able to break the duo records, both for consistency in one decade, goal scoring, dribbling, free kicks and many other areas of play, will be something else to watch at that time.

World famous 2 stars Leon Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will play last in Qatar 2022. The World Cup in Qatar is going to be the last major tournament in the country's jersey for both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best footballers in the world. Because Messi is 34 and Ronaldo is 37. And so it is impossible for them to play in another World Cup.
Not only will Ronaldo and Messi quit football, other football big stars will do the same, for young players to take over. Football lovers gonna miss them though. I don't know how long it will take for the football record made by Ronaldo and Messi will be broken by another player cos they both made a remarkable history in football.

When it comes to betting then I also have the same thoughts as you. I also prefer to bet on Brazil. but I have a different choice when it comes to which team I support. because I come from Asia. so of course I support teams from Asian countries. such as Japan and South Korea. but even though I support Japan and Korea but I can't bet on them. because the most realistic country to place a bet right now is Brazil.

Nice to see an Asian user  Cheesy
Japan is improving every world cup, it's good to watch their evolution, since Zico helped the development of soccer, Japan is now a team to respect and I'm always curious and I always support Japan.
Unfortunately Japan is at a hard group to classify, with Spain, Germany and Costa Rica. (but remember guys, there's always a "death group" on world cup where big teams lose classsification and a "small" team classifies, surprising everyone)

About South Korean, another hard group, not as tough as Japan's group, but Portugal, Ghana and Uruguay are hard to beat.
I remember the 2002 edition when Korea got the 4th place  Shocked
Another important victory was against Germany in 2018.

World famous 2 stars Leon Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will play last in Qatar 2022. It's probably their last world cup, but never doubt about these guys  Cheesy
Take a look at Daniel Alves from Brazil, he will play, 39 years old, with lots of great players in his position, but this guy is working hard and will play another cup, it's the 3rd participation.

The Qatar World Cup 2022 draw has already been completed. Among the eight groups of 32 teams, fans began searching for the group of death. However, according to football fans, Group 'H' and Group 'E' can be put in the group of death.
Group E features 2010 World Cup champions Spain, four-time World Cup winners Germany, Asian powerhouses Japan, Costa Rica and New Zealand. Group 'H' includes Ronaldo's Portugal, two-time World Cup champions Uruguay, South Korea and African country Ghana. Compared to the other groups 'E' and H can earn the title of group of death.
But don't forget about other groups. They will get home advantage as the World Cup is held in Qatar. In Group 'A' they are joined by Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador. Meanwhile, group 'B' can be said to be the easiest group in comparison. Because this group includes England with USA, Iran, Wales/Scotland/Ukraine.

Senegal vs. Netherlands on November 21 is catching my attention because they actually play well and because they are the best representation for Africa during this World Cup, I have faith in them to win. Everyone is anxious to know who the winner of the fifa World Cup will be after so many disqualifications and with group A opening the floor and the games starting on November 20th, which is on Sunday. Till then let’s see the out come of the matches when it starts.

Senegal is a good team. They have a few star players such as Sadio Mané, Ismaïla Sarr, Cheikhou Kouyaté and Kalidou Koulibaly. And they are in top form, as seen from the CAF qualifiers. On the other hand, Netherlands are not in great form recently. They have suffered a few upset defeats. And during the 2022–23 UEFA Nations League A, they struggled against team such as Wales (although managing to tip their group). But is this enough for Senegal to pull off an upset? Netherlands are one of the favorites to win the world cup.

As you can see in the FIFA ranking posted below, Senegal has a very good standing right now, also because of winning the African Cup of course. I am not entirely sure how the ranking works and I found some sources stating it is inaccurate for several reasons. Hence I tried to find out when they played against teams from that ranking that are not from Africa and that was the World Cup 2018:

Poland vs. Senegal ended 1:2
Japan vs. Senegal ended 2:2
Senegal vs. Columbia ended 0:1

I'd say that these results do lend some credibility to the ranking as you can see. Columbia hasn't lost games against Brazil or Argentina by more than one goal difference in quite a while. I think Senegal will have its moments at this World Cup and they might be a harder challenge to the Netherlands than many would expect.

Did Messi announced this? Because I don't think that a player like Messi will be too old at the age of 38 for the next World Cup. It's to be expected that Ronaldo will retire before the next World Cup but, I'm not so sure about Messi.
Messi said some weeks ago that this will probably be his last world cup, he did not say that it is exactly going to be his last, but that it probably will, and i think this will be his last. Messi is one of the greatest players of all time, but he does not look like a player that will play football at the top level till he is 38 years old, players like Ronaldo and Ibrahimovich can do it, but i am not too sure about Lionel Messi, even if he will still be playing at the age of 38, it will be in a lower league and he would surely have retired from the Argentine national team, so this should probably be his last world cup.
